The "magic parlor" is in a space on Exposition near Fair Park. There's street parking or a couple of paid lots if the street is full. The space is pretty small, but didn't feel cramped with 50 or so guests. I booked my ticket online for $20 through Prekindle. You can also pay another $10 to reserve seats in the front two rows. We strolled in and they checked us in. Seats were first come first serve so we were in the very back. My friend brought in his cooler of booze, but I also noticed there were a few free bottles of wine at the front and some bottle water. Very nice! David Jessup a local comedian opened the show and was the MC all night between acts with the help of Audrey Grace who opened and closed the curtains and held up the applause sign when David was bombing (haha). There were a couple of burlesque dancers at this show. One, Bethany Summersizzle, danced a few times. The other, Jai Le Bait did crazy stunts like swallow a knife! Confetti Eddie is the main performer and he reminded me of the old timey black and white movies where the folks didn't talk. He was so cute and charming. He did a few corny magic tricks that were still very fun to watch! Popper Zander was on hand this Friday night and played a few songs of her own that went well the night's burlesque/side show theme. Overall we had such a fun night. It's kind of awesome turning your cell phone off for an hour or so and enjoying a show with live performers. Both were very good and the tricks were fun. The venue is very intimate and had only seats 50 or so - which meant that virtually all of the audience had the chance to participate in the show at some point. The show itself had several acts along with two musical interludes from the Wild Natives (who were also quite good). Afterwards the performers invite the audience for drinks at one of the bars close by. We had a great time and would recommend it.

Nothing was offered in compensation from the hotel or from corporate. They claim there no bugs, but the tissue we took down with 3 we killed did not matter. Avoid this hotel. They claim they have new mattresses, etc, but that doesn't matter as bed bugs don't just hide in the mattresses. They will hide behind the headboard and in side tables too.

Walgreens is always clean, well organized, fully stocked and has great clearance items too. The even have a Claire's section and seem to get new merch on a regular basis. Also, handicap parking is available right by the door. The downfall to Walgreens is there seems to always be a line. There's also a lot of theft at this location. It's a sketchy area too. I don't feel comfortable coming here despite the convenience but, I took a friend with me to be on the safe side. I would partner up and head to Walgreens but, I wouldn't go alone. So my first ever cidercade experience was at this location for a meetup my older kid had with some…read morefriends that had moved over here. That visit we had an off putting initial exchange with the guy doing check in; who told my kid to throw away their plastic water bottle. I offered to put it in my bag cause they needed it for some medications theg were taking at the time but the only options was leave it at the bar, toss it, or take it to the car and get a free water from the food station. I get not wanting spills but both the cider cups and water cups offer no lids and my kids water had a lid and could go in a bag. I think we caught this guy on a bad day because we have not had that issue again. Though we learned our lesson and if we had a water we stuck it in my bag. At another locations they explained they are actually fine with water bottles ... They ask just don't be obvious about it...just don't want people bringing in things like starbucks drinks or sonic drinks that take away from their drink sales or could be sneaking in something that could cost them their serving license.
