I hired a contractor through Home Depot. They assigned me, Romanoff renovations. They called three times to make sure I did my part for the flooring like getting the toilet removed the day of the install they did not show up and did not call. when I called them, they said and get somebody else but it might be a couple weeks no toilet no sinks in my house 5 days before Christmas The supplies they ordered were inadequate for the job.Worst company I have ever hired. read more

If I could give them a constellation of stars I totally would. After dealing with a horrible general contractor (not Home Depot hired) I had everything installed incorrectly in my house, but I could live with the things except for the stairs that were a complete nightmare. After 2 months that they were installed, they started falling apart and we had to duck tape it so the kids would not get hurt on the nails sticking out. My contractor (unprofessional) insisted this was the correct way to do it and started running away from us. Long story short after a big hassle and the worst headache of my life I got him to pay Home Depot (the Romanoff guys) to re-do the stairs so we would get rid of each other forever. Let me start from the beginning: they ALWAYS showed up on time. We had a little bump with Home Depot forgetting to deliver the material and had to reschedule but even that, Home Depot's employee drove the material to my home in their personal car when they figured the mistake. It's a shame I don't know the name of the family who installed my stairs. First day a very young son and his father, second day both and another son (if I am not mistaken his name was Daniel). They were beyond amazing: on time, clean, fast, knowledgeable, professional. I don't have enough great words. A breath of fresh air after the horrible contractor I hired. The son was very quiet but he said he has never seen worst work done in a flooring in his life (shocking!) and yet he was able to fix it and give us the most beautiful stairs ever in less than a day. Trust me, the stairs are now one of my favorite places in the house and it was magical to see my kids coming down on Christmas Day without poking their toes on nails. Thank you for the amazing work. I'll get to the good first... everyone we've been in contact with has been friendly and courteous. The bad... we purchased carpet and pad from Home Depot for two rooms, living room and master bedroom, and Romanoff provided the installation. Aside from what appears to be a lump under the carpet and pad in the master bedroom, the work done there is ok. The real issue was the living room. Our home has a great room design with hardwood throughout the first floor and we wanted the living room portion to be carpeted. Simply put, this portion of the install was sloppy at best. First, the contractor didn't bother measuring to insure the transition from carpet to wood was in a straight line, so we're left with a very crooked looking living room. Next, the metal transition piece wasn't completely tacked down and looked like it had been struck with the hammer in multiple places. Additionally, where a change of direction was needed for the metal transition piece, it was left with a section poking up, providing a possible hazard should someone strike it with their foot. When we contacted Romanoff about our concerns, a rep was sent to our home and the results were disappointing. The protruding metal border was corrected, but we were told there is nothing that can be done about the now crooked looking living room. Because the install was over hardwood, the carpet strips had to be nailed down into the floor, so the option of moving the border to straighten it out would expose that damage. Also, due to the angle of the border being so far from straight, the option of possibly stretching the carpet wasn't possible to correct the issue. Basically, their installer did a poor job and their only solution is for us to accept a crooked living room carpet, or accept the visible damage to the wood floors once the border is moved to straighten the carpet out. Needless to say, we will not be using this company again. Their attention to detail and willingness to stand behind their work has proven to be non-existent. read more

I am very very pleased with the install of my new floors that Romanoff Renovations installed for me. I was nervous when I first decided to get new floors since we are in covid and also that I never worked with this rcompany before. The installer called and let me know he was on his way he came in checked that all the materials were correct since they were dropped off by Home Depot prior to the job. He had His mask on and He immediately got to work and he got rid of the old carpet and installed the new floors. He did a marvelous job. I still can't believe he did it in less than 8hrs! Miguel arrived first thing in the morning and worked non-stop until the carpet was installed in two bedrooms, a hallway, and stairs. He did a great job and knew what he was doing! The initial installation was cancelled due to a worker injury but Romanoff offered an alternative of having one person come out the next day which I appreciated.
