I went in hoping to find the right faja for me but ended up leaving without one. I should have picked the type of faja I wanted but instead the girl that helped me, I forgot her name but she was very petite. I made it clear to her that I don't do well with too much compression, I've been having some issues with fajas due to the compression so she tells me "don't look at the size" and brings me an XS I like to breath when wearing a faja, she then stated she's put bigger girls than me in an XS. I'm going to preface this review by saying that I really do like this place and they have amazing and quality products so I would definitely recommend coming here for your post-op needs. I came here looking for my stage 2 faja. I was 2 weeks post-op. When I got there, my waist was measured and the girl told me I was a 2XS. I was a little shocked but open to trying it. The girl was really nice and she helped me, huffing and puffing, to get into it. Immediately I felt really uncomfortable and felt like I was going to faint. I asked her if this was safe for me and my organs because I literally felt like I was being squished by a python. She insisted that my waist measurement put me at a 2XS. I was super duper hesitant but felt pressured into keeping that size. So I bought two at her recommendation. I drove 15 minutes home and tried to give it a shot. Finally after two hours I had to take it off. I felt SO faint. I asked my massage therapist if what I was feeling was normal and showed her the marks that it left on my skin. She told me I shouldn't be feeling like that. So I called my doctor and they too confirmed that the faja was like too tight. I called the store back and talked to Nancy, the owner. I told her what happened and asked if I could just exchange it for a bigger size. She only let me exchange the one that wasn't open. And she also said that I should have told the associate if it was uncomfortable. The thing is I DID, but was told that was "normal". Although I totally get why they don't allow exchanges on ones that were worn, I feel like I was sized wrong and the blame should really be on the business. I talked to my doctor and showed him the faja and he confirmed that it was way too small and would have done damage because 1) it would have constructed blood circulation which is SUPER important to recovery in the crucial month after surgery and 2) it would have squished the fat on my butt, compromising those results. I went back to look at the sizing and I realized that while I "measured" 2XS in the waist, I measured a Medium in the hips. After a little more research on how a faja should fit - the general consensus amongst doctors is that it should fit snugly but should feel like second skin - and not at all constrictive. What sucks is that I would have totally come back to buy more fajas and shapewear but now I'm a little jaded because I'm stuck with a $125 faja that's just going to sit in my closet. Moral of the story: I would absolutely recommend coming here for your post-op needs. The girls and the owner Nancy are totally sweet but remember to follow the advice of your doctor. Also, try on several sizes before committing to which one you buy. They told me 2XS and I ended up choosing a Medium. read more
