Throughout my experience she's been exceptionally receptive and thorough in making sure I'm comfortable and healthy. Her directions are clear and her responses to my questions are plentiful and well-informed. Secondly, she's an absolute artist. Her keen eye took my original idea and added some small but impactful differences to my end result, giving me something better than I could have ever imagined. Her office manager Janetta is equally as dedicated and continued to go out of her way to ensure I was on track and proactively clear about the next steps. This really helped me to feel completely at ease in their hands and look forward to my operation with nothing but excitement and anticipation. Each office visit is an absolute treat thanks to these two. My operation itself was wonderfully efficient with an impressively professional and charmingly tender team of staff ensuring pure comfort and ease. My results are getting more and more beautiful by the day as I heal and I am just over the moon. I feel absolutely stunning in my skin. Thank you to this wonderful practice and all those in it for making my dreams come true!!! xo

I cannot recommend Dr. Afridi highly enough. She really listened to my concerns, understood what…read morewas bothering me, and what I was hoping to achieve. She was honest about what was achievable and what was not, which I deeply appreciated. I never felt rushed--she always took her time with me, patiently answering my endless questions. From the very start, she was warm, caring, and reassuring, and I felt like we were true partners in this journey. Beyond her personable approach, Dr. Afridi is an exceptional surgeon. She is meticulous in her work and spent the time needed to make sure everything was done exactly right. It's clear she genuinely cares about achieving the best possible results. From day one, I could tell she was deeply invested in me and went above and beyond to ensure I would be happy with the outcome. I came to her for a very tricky and sensitive procedure: ankle liposuction. This was something I had struggled with for years. No matter how much I exercised, I could never change the shape of this stubborn area, and it always left me feeling self-conscious. It even limited my fashion choices (hello, maxi dresses!)--I spent most of my life trying to cover my legs. Even with all that frustration, the idea of surgery was daunting. I did not want to take unnecessary risks with my health and had decided I would not undergo general anesthesia. Dr. Afridi immediately put me at ease by creating a plan to do the procedure under local anesthesia instead. On the day of surgery, she and her team made me feel completely cared for and supported. I was comfortable the entire time (her nurse even held my hand, which meant so much). The whole experience was far easier than I ever imagined--I had very little pain and was able to walk out of the office the same day. Dr. Afridi's skill and attention to detail were evident throughout, and I always felt safe in her hands. The results? Truly outstanding. For the first time in my life, I feel confident about this part of my body. This wasn't just a surgery--it freed me from years of insecurity. Dr. Afridi is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but also a compassionate partner in her patients' journeys. If you're considering a procedure and want a doctor who is meticulous, caring, and genuinely invested in your outcome, I honestly can't imagine anyone better.

EMSculpt uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to trigger muscle contractions thereby providing improved muscle tone in FDA indicated areas (abdominals, buttocks). I had 101 questions, ranging from ongoing maintenance requirements through to technical questions on how the machine operates. Danielle was the first person at a retail location able to confidently answer all my questions, it is clear she is well-versed in EMSculpt treatment and has been attending ongoing training on best practices in the use of EMSculpt. She was very forthright in EMSculpt's benefits (e.g. if you have a fat layer, it might not be as effective) and drawbacks (e.g. if you don't continue EMSculpt maintenance treatments, you might not sustain the improvements you received via EMSculpt akin to going to a personal trainer 7 days a week then dropping down to 1 day a week). The office was well appointed and conveniently located near a subway station. Although I did not end up actually buying anything after taking up so much of her time, she was very gracious. I will definitely return.

My previous doctors had all kept prescribing the same or higher strengths of birth control, told me that my problem was lack of hydration, or told me I had to take high doses of pain killers every month. I went to Dr. Yu since I suspected endometriosis and I had an incredible experience! Dr. Yu helped me adjust and laid out multiple different options while keeping an ear out to hear me express whether there were improvements in my symptoms. He was extremely professional and encouraging and gave me a lot of useful information based on extensive check ups and comprehensive blood work. I also got my IUD inserted with Dr. Yu and, from the stories I've heard, had one of the more pleasant and smooth experiences I could have imagined. Although the process was painful, Dr. Yu was very fast and precise and walked me through the whole thing step-by-step -- including when to expect pain, when to expect it to diminish, what symptoms to expect over the next couple weeks, etc. His office space was always clean and his team additionally offered pain medications when they saw me come out to help relieve my symptoms. My partner also had no issues after the process either and I have now been pain-free for months. I highly recommend him for any related procedures and will be going to him and his team as long as I am a resident of NYC!

I first saw Dr. Yu at a friend's recommendation, before beginning my pregnancy journey. At the…read morefirst visit, I appreciated how direct, calm, and responsive he was to all of my many questions; I also chose him because I wanted to see a solo practitioner who would be present at my delivery. I echo all of the many wonderful things written about Dr. Yu and his office staff in other google/yelp reviews. A few other things I found exceptional and am particularly grateful for include: - He is extremely focused on the health of mom (in addition to the health of baby). Throughout instances for me both during pregnancy and postpartum, he offered very direct advice and recommendations of procedures he thought I should do, including calling me to make sure I went to the ER when there was something I didn't know was serious. At other times, he was very clear in explaining the pros and cons of decisions so that I could exercise my discretion, and respectful of my choices. - During labor and delivery, he was present from relatively early on and checked in multiple times, including ensuring that I knew when the hospital shift change was occurring so I could make a more informed decision on when to get my epidural. When I was researching doulas, I spoke with some who had been at deliveries by Dr. Yu and who said that he was more present than most OBs and was willing to listen to women's preferences during delivery. I found this to be true, and also found that Dr. Yu advocated for decisions that he thought would lead to a shorter delivery with less pain when I was on the fence about taking certain actions. I also found his instructions on how to push very clear (it's hard if you have an epidural and cannot feel anything)! - Healing from the different surgical procedures he has performed (during pregnancy, tears after delivery, circumcision for baby) has always been extremely smooth. - He does his own ultrasounds and does them at every visit, so you don't need to go into the hospital to get an ultrasound. I found it very reassuring to check baby's heartrate at every visit. - His office is very clear and flexible about billing, including a) accepting checks from insurance (who sent them only to me and not to the office directly) and b) explaining how he was an out of network provider but would not balance bill patients (and how that intersects with the No Surprises Act). - He is so responsive -- in particular via his messaging system; very rarely did I wait longer than 4 hours for a response (including on weekends, and messages sent at 9 pm). Lab results were provided almost immediately via the messaging system. He also gives you plenty of notice if he is going on vacation (which only happened once in my almost 2 years of seeing him). - He has wonderful contacts for referrals, such as for specialty procedures required to be performed by maternal fetal medicine specialists, breast surgeons, surgeons for fibroids, and more. He is always professional and even has a sense of humor. I would highly recommend him to all of my friends (and already have).

Even though the office itself is very…read morerun-down and in need of significant renovation, I always felt the dental care was good, so I overlooked the condition of the space. This week, I went in for my routine six-month cleaning and X-rays. Everything went well, and I was told my X-rays looked great. Before I left, however, a new dentist came in for a quick exam and told me I needed two dental procedures within the next couple of weeks. It didn't feel quite right, but I trusted the recommendation and scheduled the appointment. Something continued to bother me, so I sought a second opinion from a prosthodontist. After a thorough evaluation, she told me the recommended procedures were unnecessary and strongly advised me not to move forward with them. I called West End Dental Associates to express my concerns. I was told the dentist I saw was a new hire and that the head dentist would call me the following day to discuss the situation. Unfortunately, I never received that call. What concerns me most is not just that I was given what another dental specialist considered poor clinical advice, but also the complete lack of follow-up after I raised my concerns. That experience has caused me to lose confidence in the practice, and I will be taking my dental care elsewhere.

He claims to employ a unique…read more"basket" cannula to excise firm gland tissue without cutting the nipple, instead accessing it through the armpit. However, I am here to inform anyone who is apprehensive about scars, hesitant to travel, or facing any other concerns that if you opt for a surgeon like this, you will only receive liposuction, contrary to what you were assured. In my case, the results of liposuction alone were aesthetically inferior to my previous appearance. In stark contrast to what Dr. Weintraub promised and what he advertises on Instagram, he did not remove ANY gland tissue. A different surgeon recently removed gland from me and verified it with photos. The second surgeon confirmed that I had previously undergone liposuction alone. Worse, even the lipo only procedure that Dr. Weintraub performed was uneven, removing way more from one side. I'm still dealing with the asymmetries. For this he charged me over $13,000. I believe there's only one reliable way to remove gland, and that's through the areola. I now understand that a skilled surgeon can minimize scars and can prevent cratering. Don't let an unscrupulous surgeon play on your fears.
