ChoChee! Her attention to detail, technique, and ability to execute exactly what I was describing,…read moreeven without showing her a picture (oops), was spot on. I love color, but I don't want it to be too over the top. I asked for softness and dimension and got just that. What especially stood out to me was how she approached my hair. During the application, she blow dried away the stray hairs before applying the color. Maybe it's not a new technique, but it was new to me and I really appreciated that level of attention. Anything that helps keep my hair healthier for longer, I need it! As for the salon itself, it's the nicest spot in the area. If I'm going to be sitting around for hours getting my hair done, I need it to be somewhere I actually enjoy being.

Thank you Nikki and Joe for working on me for 5-6 hours to get this done. Honestly, I almost feel bad because Nikki would explain to me the process in detail and I would be clueless and just nodding my head since this was my first time and I got no clue about being blonde along with the technical terms included in the process of doing it. She knew this and changed her way of explaining so that I could understand it better. Haha. Things I learned was 1 close my eyes when they're rinsing off the bleach, 2 also close my eyes when I'm on the dryer with the bleach and 3 take all the stretch breaks that's offered. There's always a first time for everyone. The results were amazing!! I was nervous, scared and excited because it was a big change but also I didn't know if the color was gonna match me. She assured me that it would look great and it takes a lot to say something like that because that just meant that she knew what she was doing and it was true. Experience was great! She also fixed my chunky haircut and made it more streamlined which ultimately shaped it up to look amazing. We also did a trial run of curls to see how long it would hold if I decided to get it done a day before my nurse graduation this month. Not to mention they're so eager to help out with your progress shots too. Thank you so much!! Will definitely be back in the future. :)

Appointments can be made online directly from his website, or by emailing/texting him directly. He is very flexible and accommodating with appointments. I have had fine hair all my life, but even still my hair has always taken well to perms, always. Even the last one over a year ago. The only complaint I had was the use of larger rods which made my hair more wavy curl than curly. Nori had said that my hair wouldn't take well to a perm, but because I know my hair's history, I asked him do it anyway and he agreed to do it. First he used a more gentle solution because of my pervious perm over a year ago (did not ask if I wanted that), and I didn't know until he was already in the process of using it on my hair... my hair needs the stronger solution. Second he did a loose curl wrap instead of a tight curl wrap. With fine hair (or at least my hair) it needs to be curled up against the scalp. I think he did this because it was a hot treatment perm (which I never had before) vs a cold treatment perm. He didn't give an option. So the perm came out ok on the bottom because it already had the previous perm that was there from a year ago. But the top part of my hair had virtually no difference. If you have fine hair and looking to get a perm, I would not recommend Nori. I'm sure he does really well with all other hair services. To his credit, the perm itself, aside from the lack of curl, was a healthy perm (did not harm my hair) and he did give a very nice cut prior to the perm process. I think if he would have explained his treatment process and how it differed from what I had previously experienced, that may have helped my decision to go elsewhere, before wasting over $200 I had taken a year 1/2 to save. Again I think he probably does really well with the other services he provides. I just think for women (or men) with fine hair, you may want to think twice if you're looking to get a perm.

Parking: Metered parking, somewhat tight due to gym; however, the salon does provide you a pass. Front desk person: Woman that answers the phone provides the recommendation on who to see based on the description that you give her; altough I'm not sure she is the right person so make those determinations. Color: Failed results at all times, kept saying that it's a process, yet she never invested in achieving the color as we discussed. I felt low and disregarded every single time I left the salon. I paid over $1000 to not obtain the results in each session. When I shared my concerns with her and advised that the incorrect color was used, she became distant, ghosted me on text and was not honest about when she was in the office. I called the salon and the woman at the front told me she was there. I feel cheated and hurt. There is no salon manager, no one that cares or that you can speak to about your concerns. She is so warm, funny, talented and beautiful and she makes you feel special and pretty. She's literally one of the sweetest people I've ever known. Now, let's talk extensions. I've wanted them forever - I have pretty thin hair that does not like to grow past my shoulders. Amy and I met for the consult and played with all the color swatches (so fun!). We took some time making sure we had the right colors because once you order the hair you can't change the color. The colors turned out ah-maz-ing. It takes a few hours to install but the time flies by because Amy and I are just chatting away and having fun. The end result seriously brought me to tears. It took some getting used to because the hair feels like another appendage when you never had much hair before. I thought the bonds would be uncomfortable to sleep in but they are not - I don't even really notice them anymore. With my hair being thin I was worried about stressing it out and causing it to weaken my natural hair and creating long term damage. That is always a risk when you color, use heat or anything really, so I just try to be super careful that I don't tug the hair too hard, get it stuck under my purse strap, let my kids pull on it, etc. I always kinda have my guard up now, lol, but it's so worth it. When I went in for my first lift (about 4 weeks post-install) Amy moved a couple of pieces around based on my feedback/questions, shaped the front a little and made it look more amazing! She also looked for signs that my hair roots were getting stressed out or if I was being too rough on the bonds. So she really goes the extra mile to have you looking fab and keep your natural hair healthy. And, because you are investing in this hair, don't skimp on the quality hair care products. Whatever Amy suggests you get, just get it. They have an amazing line of Kevin Murphy products and she set me up with everything I needed. It is pricey, but if you skimp you won't get a very long life out of your hair. This is like a dream come true. My hair has always been one of the things I disliked most about myself and as silly as it might sound, these extensions have changed my life. Thank you, Amy for being the sweetheart you are and for your expertise!
