The Latte comes with that wonderful artistic swirl on top! The butter croissant is delicious and the chocolate chip cookie even better. There is great music (jazz) playing. They have "Toasties", salads and other treats. I like it here. The woman that gave us our clock tower tour recommended it. Restaurant with larger menu upstairs. It's lovely upstairs as well. There are also a few children as it's nice, but comfortable. Make sure you check out the hallway.

We spent 3 days in Jo's room in Kinsale and loved her hospitality. The rooms are not 5 star but are well appointed and have everything you need. Jo's food is just awesome. You need to stop for breakfast or lunch no matter where you stay in Kinsale. We will defiantly be back our next time in Ireland.

Just amazing cappuccinos, lattes, machiattos and teas. Food is excellent as well and we ate breakfast every morning here while we stayed in Cobh. Can't more highly recommend.

Turns out the owner worked in Washington D.C. for over 20- years before moving back to Youghal, which was serendipitous since I live in that area. Highly recommend checking this place out. This is truly a reader's dream place. The fare is minimal but fresh and delicious from the bits we tried. This brings me to the hot chocolate. Hubby had the tall mug of steaming milk placed in front of him with an enormous block of chocolate on a stick - like a huge square lollipop. The idea was to stick it in the milk and stir until melted. There was a choice of white, milk or dark if I remember correctly (definitely more than just the white chocolate option). He absolutely LOVED it and declared it to be the best he had ever had - check out the photos. The ONLY reason they didn't get a 5 star was due to the lack of seating. We had to wait a while to get a seat and I'm not sure what they could do about that, but if you only have a limited amount of time in Kinsale, you may just want to pop your head in first to see if there is anything available.

Prices were a bit high, as to be expected in a town like this. the next morning we woke to try our selections. My scone had raisins (I would have preferred cranberries) and was quite dry and bland, even for a "day old" bite. It tasted basically like flour and some raisins from time to time. Everyone else opted for the barista's favorite: some berry cobbler bar. The next morning, all their pastry bags were dripping with butter/oil. I don't think anyone had more than half their bar - everyone commented it was quite heavy and had wished they had went with another option. All in all - it got the job done: we were fed and ready to hit the road for another day of exploring the countryside. But, next time we may opt for another place to pick up selections if we find ourselves in town again.
