My wife and I contacted three companies in the St. Petersburg area about installing hurricane shutters on our condo. Roll Shield was the second company to give us an estimate on the new hurricane shutters. It did not take long after Larry, Roll Shields salesperson, explained their system, the materials they would use etc. that I knew I did not need to meet with the third company. Larry was professional and took all the time I needed to understand the scope of the work Roll Shield would do and the stages in which it would happen. I signed the contract that afternoon. A rep from Roll Shield came by and took the final measurements for my hurricane shutters. When the installation crew arrived they were pleasant and professional. Two days were required to install all of the shutters and I could not be more happy. Roll Shield crew cleaned up the area before they left the first day and when they completed the job on the second day. We love the shutters and feel much better about protection they will provide in bad weather. No reason for you to make multiple calls to shutter companies...make one call and call Roll Shield. RollShield was one of 5 vendors we contacted for information about window opening hurricane protection. We initially worked with Don as our salesman and point of contact. Due to demand, our appointment was set out approximately 7 days and Don showed up on time and prepared with all the information needed. Other vendors tried to give us the "if you sign today" routines however Don was patient with our many questions due to the size of the investment. Ultimately we went with the CrimSafe screens on our window openings, accordion door on our patio slider, and the fabric protection for our front door opening. Had never seen the CrimSafe screens we were somewhat reluctant to purchase without seeing them. Don offered to have us come by his home to see the ones he had installed and we were welcomed into his home to view and "play" with the screens. Sold us 100%. The production and installation were completed as promised even if their busy season. Trey was our installer and there is not a bad thing to say about his skills or customer service. I would highly recommend giving RollShield a call for your window or hurricane protection needs. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! RollShield continues to be a bad choice and zero stars would be a more accurate representation of our experience with RollShield. We first left a review on October 27th, detailing the unnerving experience with RollShield when we discovered that RollShield had ordered and intended to install a set of doors that were 8' instead of 9.5' (1 and 1/2 foot shorter than which we had contracted for and for which we had given our 50% deposit of $11, 500). Buyer Beware.....this is IMPORTANT....RollShield had 100% intention of sending someone out to tear up our lanai and frame for installation a set of doors which cost $5500 less than the doors we chose and for which we gave deposit. We placed our order for doors from the $23,000 option. RollShield dismissed the contract and ordered doors from the $17,000 option. RollShield has had our $11,500 deposit for 10 months and we have nothing. Think long and hard if this is the company you want to do business with. They will manipulate your job and take your money and you will have to get lawyers to do battle for you. read more

I am working with Greg Moore of Roll Sheild on a misunderstanding that took place earlier in the year. Our HOA would not let him do work on our home because they claimed their was not enough room. We hired Roman and Roman attorneys to prove that there was and they measured for themselves. I realize now that the HOA conflicted my opinion about the entire Roll Sheild company. I do believe that my negative veiw steemed from hear say and because the bank financing the project refused to give a refund and said that Greg Moore was the one holding it back. Although we did get the refund back from the bank, it was six months later. At this time I have no hard feelings against Greg Moore and am changing my review. Despite some initial skepticism due to mixed reviews, the quality of both the product and service exceeded my expectations. Everyone I interacted with, from sales and customer service to the installers, Gennci and Llira, was professional, responsive, and thorough. The installers went above and beyond, staying in constant communication with me while I was out of state during the installation. They sent detailed photos of their work and even pointed out unrelated repair issues that needed attention--something well beyond their scope. Less than stellar customer service. I put down a deposit and didn't hear anything for three months. Then when they came to do the final measurements, I discovered the original order by the salesman was in error. I requested the corrected revision of the order and asked for recommendations or alternatives. I was promised a call back and photos. A month later. Nothing. Then I called the office only to be given the runaround and two days later, no one wants to take responsibility. Meanwhile they have had my 5K for 4 months. What do I have, nothing. Great company with a great team, they did a Fantastic Job installing our new windows. I initially met Greg, the owner of RollShield, seven years again when my truck got a flat tire right in front of his office. The tire iron I had did not fit the lug nuts for my vehicle; Greg happened to be out front and stopped his day to let me borrow his tire iron. That act of kindness saved me a lot of time that day, and I never forgot his help. RollShield installed accordion and roll down hurricane shutters, as well as CrimeSafe screening on our side porch several years ago. Fortunately, they didn't have to prove themselves until last month when we were directly impacted by a hurricane. Our RollShield products protected our home as advertised. We called about accordion shutters but the salesman they sent out convinced us to consider a product from Australia called Crimsafe that they custom mount to each window and it stays on all year. Not only does it protect my home from storms, it also offers great security from burglars and our heating and air conditioning bill has dropped about 30%.
