David Myers has been my accountant for close to ten years and he was one of the best local…read morerecommendations I received when I moved into the Charlotte, NC area. You work directly with him and not some jr. accountant so he knows you from year-to-year. He also notifies me on a regular basis of items such as payroll forms that need to be submitted so I don't get behind on filing forms that could get me in trouble if I neglect them. Taxes are complicated, but I've also gotten a nice refund every year as he really knows how to identify all of the tax deductions that I'm eligible for that I would never know about otherwise. I can't guarantee everyone else would do as well on the refunds, but he really finds all of the deductions and fills out all of the appropriate forms which are typically a pain in the ass to fill out. My typical tax returns which he prepares for me usually end up over 30 pages each year because I have my own business so it's not something I want to prepare myself each year. He's also very reasonable and fair about his pricing as he has low overhead even though he has a nice professional office. Previously, I was with another accounting firm who charged an arm-and-a-leg and shuffled me between jr. accountants each year so I never really got to know the CPA partner or felt like I was getting my money's worth. Having David as my accountant is kind of like knowing that one local car mechanic who really knows his stuff, fixes it right the first time and doesn't rip you off because he's really honest. After you've been ripped off by the dealer's service center or franchised service station, you're really thankful that you've found the guy who could do you right! I don't give out 5 stars lightly, but David's a good person to work with and others that I have recommended him to have also stayed with him for many years and they've thanked me for the recommendation. So that must say something about the quality and value of his services.

They then refused to use a telephone to correct the issue. This business seems to ONLY want to do business over email. Well, I tried that. The picture below shows how many attempts I made to get my meeting rescheduled. After the fifth attempt, I FINNALY got a response saying they are now closed tor the season! Haha! The same email explained they would be back in the office on August 18th and to reach back out at that time to continue where we left off. I had no choice since they had all my original tax documents and I could not retrieve them. I waited patiently for this time to arrive. They just returned back to the office at the said time and notified me that since I missed the onboarding call on April 22 that they refused to reschedule, they are not taking on any clients. If you are a high net-worth client like myself, I would avoid this company like the plague. They are unresponsive (as shown below), they lack systems to help when a client cant get into a meeting, they have no issue lying about revisiting your tasks after their promise to do so.

I also felt the accountant working on my taxes was not very experienced and was just checking boxes that I probably could've done if I just did my taxes myself. With Hunter, that was not the case. I felt he gave my finances the attention they needed, and he was not rushing me out the door.
