By far the best leather goods store in Vallarta. I got a pair of boots (men's 13) which is a hard size to find in most places. The price and selection is hard to beat, the staff inside was super accommodating and provided lots of valuable information. Speaking a bit of Spanish helps to expedite the process but is certainly not required. They are the only store that had shoes and goods for a fair price, and to top it off they were not pushy or overbearing when it came to selling. I was pretty impressed with this leather goods store. It's nothing like walking into a store on a warm day and just smelling that unmistakable scent of tanned leather. The postcards that they were selling caught my eye from the window as we passed by so we decided to pop in since I'm a postcard collector. Little did I know that the place is two floors of all leather goods and a small section of local beaded items and touristy goods. There is so much selection here from wallets, boots, jackets, vests, belts, money clips, shirts, hair and neck accessories, purses, suitcases, and other things. It's not just cow leather either. They have stingray, alligator, ostrich, and more. If they can kill it, dry it and tan it, then it's probably on the shelves of this store. The prices are unbelievable. Real leather wallets for $5-$7 USD, belts for about the same, big purses $7-20 and cowboy boots in just about any price range. One of the people in my party got some really nice cowboy boots and was able to haggle the price down to within the range she wanted to pay. Honestly, the sticker price was actual well below what one would pay in the U.S. This is a really nice store and don't forget to check out the second floor as there is also a small historical memorabilia museum up there as well. read more

The smell of leather once you walk through the double doors is delectable. Nobody really greets you or cares that you're in their store, but that also means they aren't going to hover and bother you while you browse. I immediately went upstairs as per recommendations on TA. All handbags upstairs are half price. They also have old ships and relics from days gone by. Fun stuff to look at. I found a pair of hand tooled leather sandals for $260 pesos that fit my huge ski feet. Super cute and super comfortable. Went back downstairs to pick out a leather bracelet as a gift to my sister. Boyfriend met me at that point and found a money clip wallet he liked. We bought it and it fell apart the next day. We came back a week later to see if it could be fixed and they exchanged it for another one. Very good service and a shop worth visiting! read more
