The staff and Vets go above and beyond for your pets. They are knowledgeable and experienced and for me that means a lot! Highly recommend

They've cared for my dog and cats for years. Friendly, attentive, caring and educated.read more

Terrible experience. We had a puppy who had been normal, but turned anxious during the Covid years…read moredue to lack of socialization. Several dog trainers had recommended training with an e-collar. They assured us that it would be a way to communicate with our dog and that an e-collar vibration was not painful and simply a way to get his attention for a command. I had even tried it on my own forearm to ensure it wasn't painful. Long story short, it didn't help the situation. Trying to fix the issue is how we ended up with an appointment at this clinic to see if there were any options to undo the damage that had been done. Dr. Phil Kelch was blunt and condescending, telling my wife we had done everything wrong and implying we were bad owners for listening to outdated advice (how were we supposed to know?). He laid into her relentlessly to the point that she was in tears. Don't go here if you want a vet that understands your pets are family. We were here to lean on him for guidance and to help us through a tough situation and instead he was entirely condescending and unhelpful, talking down to her the entire time. She had to walk out to collect herself, and he followed her out saying he was not going to charge us for the appointment because he "didn't want a bad review," not because he felt any sort of shame for how he treated her. We had been warned about this vet from others, but continued going because we had been established there. I wish we would have listened. Edit: Your response to this review further demonstrates your total lack of manner and awareness. She had tried to explain to you that he has never bitten anyone, but that his behavior shows he is obviously uncomfortable when she is around, something we were hoping to fix before our next baby arrives. You wouldn't listen, instead looking to shame and condescend before listening to our report, then airing out what should be between you and I in this review. I offered an honest critique of your practice. You took personal shots at my family. I would like to add that at the appointment, you were further condescending when she said she has looked into behavior therapists, saying that you don't know of any around here who are vets. Maybe if you had asked about it instead of making assumptions, you would have discovered that our behavior therapist we had contacted was indeed vet who focuses on positive reinforcement. We were in your practice only a month ago and described the exact situation to the other vet and she said this behavior was common between dogs and toddlers and that we could look for solutions. Instead, Dr. Phil, you replied to our review with further condescension and insistence that we let our pet bite our daughter, which is completely untrue. We have done nothing but what we believed at the time to be in the best interest of both our pet and our children, and you treat us like we're as good of dog owners as Michael Vick. Thank you for your reply. I think it demonstrates to everyone reading this why they shouldn't go to your practice. We arrived hopeful for solutions, and you offered neither hope nor solutions. On top of that, you gave no apology for how you made my 9-months pregnant wife feel with your dreadful bedside manner when she trusted you with our beloved pet.
