There are trails as well as paved paths for walking and jogging enthusiasts. The trails do not have much of an elevation change, but they are immersive enough to where you feel like you are in nature. In the midst of one of the trails, you can see the platforms and zip lines associated with the Go Ape Adventure Park. There is a part of another trail that has a beautiful wooden deck that is very peaceful and is akin to other parks I've experienced in Japan and Hawaii. So, if you like changes of scenery, Oak Point is a great option- it's a chameleon in that way. There are restroom facilities that are well maintained located by the large pond as well as ample parking. As far as variety of landscapes and well maintained grounds, Oak Point is definitely a terrific option for outdoor activities in DFW.

Many people come here for family photos on the little bridge. Very quaint. There are ball fields here too. Plus some Pokémon Go can be played. Several gyms and stops. It's not bad for trainers. It is within eyesight of the Allen Eagle Stadium. There are beautiful, walking trails and bicycling paths. Much of the length of some of the trails runs along the creek. Today the park also pays host to sporting events, though it's homage to yesteryear is not lost. This 125 acre park offers a variety of activities for people. There is a BMX track and skate park, baseball/softball diamonds, hiking & biking trails, grill and picnic table, a playground, and more. I was just here for a stroll. I had been at the dam site on the other side of Exchange Parkway, and there was a trail connecting the two areas that I walked. It was a nice paved trail that is protected by surveillance cameras. There's a huge colorful fun playground for kids, a large shaded gazebo and a surprise cast of wildlife including turtles, frogs, ducks, geese, and swans. We stop here often to eat our McDonald's after shopping at Krogers.. who knew running errands could include a moment watching nature, lol.
