I have been a patient at this hospital several times throughout the past 4 years. I am a healthy, unmedicated, and happy human being. More than I ever was before. I am only 17 years of age, but I have always been wise beyond my years. I won't make this review pages long by explaining all of the incidents I had at this facility. However, I will say this: Parents and legal guardians, helping your child starts with YOU. I have a strong belief that every person on this Earth a "by-product" of their environment and influences. Coming from a teenager that has struggled with self harm, s***** attempts, substance abuse, relationship abuse, various mood disorders, etc. I can rightfully say that I understand. And mental hospitals (your child/patient will tell you this part) SUCK! They're HORRIBLE! Because staff is often performative in their acts of "care." At Rolling Hills, I have encountered many stressful and damaging events. There are sweet nurses and tech there, like Mrs. Alicia :) But there's also a lot of unempathetic people employed at this facility - And others. Whether you bring your child to Trust Point, or Vertava, or Rolling Hills, they face the risk of being scrutinized by annoying staff (employees that lack consistent work ethic & real HEART). But that's what people need when they struggle. They need to be surrounded by people that care. So please, keep your child/patient safe. Take them to a mental hospital if you don't think that they/you can handle them being at home. BUT! Please please please, let your kid know you love them. Or grandson, or sister, or aunt, or whomever. Avoid having to put your "patient" in a predicament and ask them what they think they need. I know it can be difficult to differentiate between truth and lie, when trying to aid someone with poor mental health, but it's possible. I promise :) Everybody is capable of being saved read more

It's nothing but a medicated prison. No counseling is offered. I had a horrifying experience there. Cold food, mean nurses and unsympathetic doctors read more

absolutely horrible care, do not at any point go here, they only want your money, no compassion or real care, just a bunch of stupid children unexperierianced, its all absolutely about the mone, you will leave here feeling worse! save yourself and go somewhere with educated adults, not high school children who know nothing but stupid role play games, please if you really need mental health help stay away from this place read more

My husband was in severe crisis and Rolling Hills Hospital gave him the help he needed. They were more than I could have hoped for!!! The outpatient programs changed his life in profound ways. Annabelle, his therapist was smart thorough, kind, listened and always available and DR Z the Psychopharmacologist was kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. Thank God for Rolling HIlls Hospital!!! They saved my hisband's life! read more

Awful! They turned my Son loose in a catatonic state, and said "he was at his base line." This is after I text the social worker, and told many of the nurses to tell the doctor he is not ready! He got back home having delusions, took off all his clothes and ran out the door naked, kicked out a window, ran out into traffic in the middle of the night three times, stayed awake for three days and nights, we had to take him back to the emergency room and have him re admitted. Rolling hills is the epitome of inept when it comes to mental health issues. He could have hurt himself, or something fatal could have happened to him or someone else because of their negligence. If you want the worded for your loved one send them here! That was sarcasm by the way! There will be legal repercussions as I am in the process of seeking out legal counsel for what was done to him, and the rest of our family. I have witnesses to all of this! If I could give zero stars I would. Better yet; negative 5 stars! read more

I want to start off by saying unfortunately this is my sons 6th facility for treatment. I think it is important for me to stress because I have experience with many facilities in Memphis, Nashville and California. This was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this facility for treatment be it detox or otherwise. My son was admitted on Thursday, at that time he was accompanied by his interventionist. The interventionist gave all of my sons belongings to the facility and left his card stating to call him for anything and with updates. The facility had his wallet and phone the whole time and continued to tell my son they did not have any of his things his interventionist had them and that was a complete lie. My son expected to be transferred to Cumberland after detox. The facility knew on Friday that my son was not getting a bed at Cumberland and waited until Monday to tell him. The only way we were notified of this change was through our interventionist NOT the facility. The facility did not notify us of this information until 3:00 on Monday. My son has addiction issues and is there for detox the meds they administered him for sleep are Valium. My son had to tell them to please stop administering him these meds as they are interfering with his cravings. Never in treatment has my son ever been given valium or anything in the Benzo family while detoxing. The social worker has set hours that in treatment I have never heard of Monday-Friday till 3:30. In all other facilities at least you have a backup if someone is not there, NOT HERE no backup you are just shit out of luck and talk to you Monday. Yesterday I get a call from social worker that my son is going from Nashville to Florida for treatment. Never did they discuss with us nor did they call the interventionist, they dictatated treatment, they were just supposed to stabalize him not dictate future treatment. We were able to get him placed in Nashville thanks to our interventionist, Asher Levine, and only thanks to him. Rolling Hills stated he was being discharged at midnight regardless of whether he had placement. You did not have my son's best interest when trying to place in the next treatment facility, nor did you include his team in that conversation. I feel I need to explain how you did not have my son's best interest for treatment at heart. You wanted me to put him on a plane to Florida with no one facilitating him at the airport and also did not care if there was a connecting flight to the treatment facility. When I asked what happens if he shows up at the facility in Florida drunk, your social worker's response was he will just have to detox again. This response and the whole scenario was reckless in the scope of continuing treatment. ALSO, my family had and will continue to have a professional interventionist, Asher Levine. We pay for his unwavering knowledge and for him to be our son's advocate in treatment for exactly the Florida scenario. Your organization was aware of Asher from day one because he was there with my son at admittance and told your facility he is to be kept in the loop and left a card. Again, he is my sons and my family's advocate and you treated him like crap and denied him access to my son. My son signed a release for Asher. It is not your call ever to dictate who my son has and will have access to, this scenario absolutely infuriates me and I want all to know. My son would not be here today without Asher and that is a fact. My son is an adult BUT when you have a client that comes through your door with a team and signs releases whether you like it or not it is your duty in the best interest of all involved to work with the whole team. The anxiety you put me and my son in telling us he was going to Florida, period, was uncalled for and ridiculous. I have nothing further to say to anyone at your facility. I just hope all read and take caution from our experience. read more

Hated this place. The food was gross, there was nothing to do in our rooms and I almost went insane there, the beds were so uncomfortable and it was hard to sleep at night because staff would come in our room and shine flashlights in our eyes and leave the door open when they left. The shower was the worst part of the bathroom, the curtain was way to up and there was water everywhere when we finished showering. This place was fucking hell. read more

I mean I've been here several times and not a lot has changed here! Food was good and I did learn some things from the groups they offered but it was so many HIPPA violations and miscommunication amongst the staff with the patients I wish there were more activities like Pet Therapy and use of electronic devices if students as well as inmates can have electronic devices when some of them also face mental illnesses then why can we here? Because sometimes you need more than 5-10 minutes of phone time to conduct your affairs even though you're in a mental health facility also many people would love to have gotten a Rolling Hills shirt so maybe a gift shop might help I see that there were vending machines so why not offer sone things with Rolling Hills on it? Maybe even incorporate it in the groups offered as prizes because adults still love free gifts as well as the adolescents! read more

I know everyone wants to give a psych hospital a one-star review. Many people are there by force, and have emotional trauma from being in a locked hospital with other patients of various acuities. However, the interaction I had with this place was awful. It seems like it is primarily focused on profit. The employees look extremely stressed and underpaid, like they work at a nonprofit or something. Guessing by the size of the place, it looks like there are tons of beds and they probably make plenty money. There is lots of intake paperwork, which I'm sure is typed into the computer system, instead of having a modern one with an iPad. The paperwork has many duplicate questions too. This wastes everyone's time. The therapy programs seem lifted out of the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book. "Change your thoughts, change your feelings." If it were so easy, I wouldn't have to be interacting with a psychiatric hospital. Please spare me the platitudes. In total, this place is completely behind the times, and there is no excuse for that for a large for-profit hospital. I'm sure management is laughing all the way to the bank with this review though. read more

I'm sure every situation is different but we have had to use this hospital 4 times in the last year. Each time we were met with kindness and really good care. My son of course didn't like being in the acute units but they had to for a time keep him in acute units. The Dr our son has is, I think one of the best. They really have an understanding with medicine. Unlike other hospitals where they have just thrown drugs at my son hoping something worked. It does take a while for them to get their personal items when you drop them off. I am forever grateful for this safe place for my son, he has a condition that can flare up and become an emergency. They are always there. read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Gave a one because I could not give a zero or less. Horrible mental care and staff. Staff is mean to teen patients yelling at them and swearing dropping the F bomb. Admitted on Monday and discharged on Friday and they did nothing but swear and give them bad coping skills. read more

My grandson Tacio went to Rolling Hills in Franklin TN at 4am in the morning on Tue and a entire day has gone by and is still waiting to be evaluated by a Doctor. The place looks more like a prison then having a place that makes you feel like your wanted. When your having thoughts of suicide. He is 13 and never slept away from his family My daughter called he is sleeping in the day room because he is scared. He was brave enough to stay he need help.. But after he leaves this place I am scared be cause of this experience he gets here next time he might not say any thing and just do it.After being here and it is just heartbreaking for our entire family. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. If I had known that my daughter would basically be in prison for 7 days she would have been better off with her family. They did no group therapy, the doctors just asked if she was feeling ok every day and yep that's about it. I would NEVER ever send my child here and if you want a good program Rogers at St. Thomas is amazing! On a side note, one of their employees stole my daughters diamond ring she got for her 13th birthday on a special trip we took out of the country. They took it from her and said they would put it in the safe and when she went to leave there was no ring in the safe!!! So I started calling and it is now August (she was there at the begging of June) and I have had 3 people say they will follow it through and help me find it or whatever and no one out of the 3 people have followed up. I am an extremely busy person so I forgot about it for a few weeks and now I am pissed. I just emailed them to have someone call me tomorrow - doubt they will but I am not going to stop until that ring is found or they reimburse me. read more

It's like a prison, go for a visit you lose time and there's a "supervisor" all in your conversation. You can't take food in, I'd understand if that was upfront. Judging by the staff, they eat everything. Looks like a la Quinta. If you call that's a wait because you're transferred a few times. They don't know who is housed there and pickup is just as slow as everything else. They attempted to give my girlfriend a nicotine patch and a cup of pills that were for someone else. The only reason they get the star is because the families in the waiting room have the same complaints and I don't have another option. read more

If it were possible to give 1/10 of a star I would. This is a terrible place and I would never put anyone here that I remotely cared about. You can expect to be physically assaulted and ignored. I was assaulted there and the nurses didn't even check on me. I was unconscious. When I came to about 2 hours later, I had to crawl to the front desk to get help. I cannot stress enough how dangerous this hospital is - or that was my experience. This wasn't the first time a woman was assaulted here either. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone except to an attorney for legal representation. read more

Son was placed here by the local hospital, clearly no real choices for him. Admitted Friday morning, we received a call from him Friday night. Saturday we take him clean clothes, while were there they called my phone. Hello I am in your facility and you call??? "The social worker wants to know what's going on with your son." Left message and nothing. Wife calls Monday morning, nothing. I just left another message. Find some real help for your loved one. read more

If you have a teen at risk to themselves they might keep them safe but not come out for the better. This is a parking lot. No visitation, lack of communication, bullying allowed to happen in front of nurses/staff, no actual skills taught to manage life and had to pester for updates. No intensive therapy as was promised. OHHH and a LICE outbreak which caused the actual psychologist to miss therapy on a Monday (doctors, therapists and social workers don't work weekends) read more

This place is horrible and should be shut down. A family member was recently in this hospital and not once did we receive a call from a doctor or psychiatrist for an update. The Social Worker was the only one there that cared and agreed that our family member was not being treated right. Each day they saw a different doctor and different medications were being prescribed. The nurses were denying my family member of their right to speak to an advocate or Social Worker. The staff was rude and uncaring. We had to get the Social Worker to intervene on behalf of our family member to get them out. I could go on and on with examples. I never write reviews but feel so compelled to help others so that they do not go to this hospital. I feel bad for the patients that are stuck in there without a family member fighting to get them out. read more

I am writing this review to WARN others regarding the INPATIENT care at this hospital. I do not want any person or their family to have to go through what me and my wife are. My wife was admitted and during the course of her 1 week stay there were numerous issues. Please see below for the major issues: - After being admitted I was not provided any update regarding her medical care. By medical care I mean changes in medications, what the doctor recommended for treatment, and a plan of care. On the day prior to her discharge because I called and asked the social worker I received information on my wife's medical care. - Multiple instances of some nurse making derogatory statements towards the patients in public area. One nurse by name of Connie made a comment using foul language relating the nurses jobs to being babysitters. - My wife's medical record had incorrect information regarding her diabetes that would have been vital to her health if there had been a medical emergency. Also be aware that on her discharge papers this error still had not been corrected. - Spoke with a supervisor Heather regarding the medical record issue and was told, "We have issues with our computer system and it probably didn't update." The supervisor also said herself that they have issues with some of the nurses at the facility. read more

Their billing department cannot be trusted. It's clear after dealing with the Franklin TN location, that it's not about the patient, it's about how many visits they can talk you into so that you and your insurance can be billed as much as possible. I've spent hours trying to sort out the charges with them and with Cigna! Muddy waters. I get a different amount due every time I call. I do not trust them!! Ask questions, verify with your insurance and be slow to pay what they bill until you know all the facts! read more

This facility needs to shut their doors. While waiting with my child the employees were heard behind doors talking about the 9 discharges that day and how they wish they could keep the beds empty. The employees clearly have no desire to be there and it's shown in their lack of compassion and empathy. My child was taken back at 4pm after us having arrived at noon. They took her belongings when we arrived. We received a phone call from our daughter who was still sitting in her dirty clothes from the previous all nighter in the ER. They had yet to give her clean clothes or allow her to brush her teeth even though they knew she hadn't in over 24 hours. Why I asked, They rudely stated they're short handed. She had therapists that just didn't show to their group therapies, she was given incorrect doses of her medicine. And to make it all worse, I had a one on one with Jason, the facilities supervisor, to discuss the issues taking place. He acted impatient and didn't listen to a word I said. He took her belongings (at 10:30 am) and AGAIN when we got our 4:30 pm phone call, my daughter still did not receive her clothes. For the second time. So I've pulled her, when we left, they kept all of her EXPENSIVE toiletries I had brought her, that they NEVER let her use. I can't say enough about this terribly run facility. This is the problem with mental health, they have facilities like these that are greedy for money and have zero desire to help. This entire experience left my very hopeful daughter completely defeated and hopeless again. Do better. We lose innocent lives every day for mistakes and carelessness in the system like this one. Step into this place because you want to help, if not, leave! read more

Trying to find more information on what is really going on at this hospital. We dropped off my mental schizophrenic brother here multiple times. Every time they do nothing but drug him up alot and release him back to society. They do nothing to help at all besides be a system of drugs and charge money! This recent time last week we dropped him off because he wasn't feeling good and was aggressive. Mom took him to the hospital as he wanted the help as well. The worst mistake we could've made was taking him to this place. We get a call a day later saying he is in Jail. They will not tell us why nor where my brother was. A lady named Marqueya in Administration claims she couldn't say anything at all in regarding my brother although mother is on his paper work for release of information all the time. Will do everything and anything in my power to investigate what this hospital is doing an treating these patients! read more

This place has to B like the movie one who flew over Cuckoo's Nest. Saw someone I know there had to go get a lawyer to get her out due to the treatment there!!!! Served food in Styrofoam containers. The place held no classes to help improve or understand why They were there. Kept her drugged and walked no in a daze. She said she only saw a Dr on a monitor only. Never met one face on ever. I submitted my wife cause QuinCo recommend it well I was pleased with the place when I got there it was very pleased with the trees and the other plants not like Crestwyn I had to speak and push a button. My wife was treated very good. The only Negative thing that I can speak off when she was let go she did not receive any medications like she was in Collierville Baptist Hospital when they let her go they gave her the medications when she was released well when we got home I went to get her medications that Rolling Hills prescribe well I was told that our local Pharmacy did not have one of the main medicine they will have order it and have it mon and this was Fri. So I check with our other pharmacy and they also didn't have this medication. Since we had to wait three days that meant she would be off this medicine for 3 days. I think this very poor policy to not give her the rest of her medications that was given her while I had to fill her medicines. read more

I called on a Sunday night for my child that was in severe mental distress. They answered quickly and provided much needed information and guidance. When we got to the admissions office a short time later, we were met with kindness and empathy. My child was assessed thoroughly and recommended to receive inpatient care. We chose that option and the care my child received was second to none. Every staff member we encountered was knowledgeable and professional. My child spent 5 days there and was able to refocus and get the help so desperately needed without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. I received regular updates from from my child, the social worker, and the psychiatrist. Upon discharge, all follow up care had been scheduled for us. They have an expansive list of contracted insurances, as well a several types of inpatient and outpatient care available. If you or someone you know needs help, I highly recommend Rolling Hills. read more

Yesterday we took our 28 year old son there for a mental health evaluation. He suffers from bipolar disorder or ADHD. Entered the admissions area and were handed paperwork. They took him in to "triage" to take his vitals and were told he would be evaluated. 3 hours later his wife was called in and we waited. About 15 minutes after that, we were called in and he was sitting with his head in his hands. He had been in an empty room for 3 hours, he was freezing and he thought we just left him there. There was also a camera in the room. No one checked on him and he freaked out after we came in. He was screaming that he wanted out of the room and it escalated from there. We never saw a doctor and they never attempted to get one to help him. He was allowed to leave but only after he signed a paper admitting him to an out patient program (we have no intention on taking him back). The front desk admissions area has some of the most uncouth, unprofessional people I've ever seen. People in McDonald's are more qualified to deal with patients than they were. They were laughing, joking, and ignoring requests to turn down the tv. It was far from a tranquil atmosphere you'd think it would be when you take your loved one there for help. I OBVIOUSLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! read more

I went to Rolling Hills twice. The first time was in 2018 and my stay there was actually very nice. The front staff was caring, the food was tolerable, I could call people and have visitors, and the doctors/social workers understood what I was going through. But then I was admitted again this past January and it had changed into the worst place I had ever stayed. The nurses constantly yelled at patients, the therapists and doctors were incredibly rude, and I had no outside contact with family or friends. The only good part was that the other patients were so kind and understanding. I strongly do not recommend Rolling Hills to anyone with mental health issues. read more

Probably the worst care I have ever received. EVER! I felt like I was brushed under the rug. I am very unhappy with the outcome.

I was forced here against my will. Was then forced to stay a week. I was 18 and in the adult unit. They treated all of us like children. The beds were like bricks. I starved for a week because the food was so horrible. I don't recommend going there or sending a loved one there. The staff gets upset and puts you in the "Quiet Room" if you're upset. People get upset there isn't a reason to punish them for that. Also I was told the services were free and I now have to pay a $1911 bill. NEVER GO HERE!! read more

I was helping a family member checking into their outpatient programs. They were only supposed to do a 45 min free assessment, but she was kept in a locked room for 5 hours. They would not let her leave unless we agreed to sign up for one of their very expensive programs. They even threatened to transfer her to a state hospital that's meant for people with severe mental illness. She never talked to a psychiatrist during the assessment and the whole session was a high pressured sales pitch in disguise. The staff was very unprofessional and manipulative. I am shocked to see this type of practice of preying on unsuspecting people who just need some help with different treatment options. I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

This place is awful! It is nasty and some of the staff look down at u! The problem i have is depression, anxiety and panic attacks. I went just wanting to see Dr. Hart who I had seen 23 years ago out patient. I had tried to see him in his office but was told he wasn't taking new patients which I wasn't. Beth who is in his office told me there would be no way I could see him since they didn't have my records anymore. U might say I begged her knowing how good Dr. Hart is. She said she would put me on waiting list for the PA. Beth said ur address is and guess what she said my address from 23 yrs ago ....ummmm thought I wasn't in the computer and I was gonna be a new patient....so with that said I decided to go to Franklin to the hospital in hopes I could see Dr.Hart. I did get checked in and saw him the following morning. He put me on medication which I am still struggling with which i took for 5 days but I couldn't stomach staying there any longer. I did have one nurse Carolyn and one young man Blaise who were wonderful but that was it! Dr.Hart was always in a hurry or talking to u in front of all the other patients! I was hoping so much things would of been so much better because I am still not doing well at all. I have got to try to find someone else now. Living this experience was awful for me and 6 other people I was in there with. If we hadn't of had each other we wouldn't of been able to stay the time we were there! We took up for each other when the staff was so rude and hateful! Plz do not go there !!! I really felt like things could of been alot better! read more

What could families possibly want from a psychiatric hospital? I used to wonder that but now I know. You want your daughter to be safe, you want staff to care and you want to know what is happening. Your team did an awesome job for us during our worst time. My personal experience at Rolling Hills changed my life! I was hospitalized for a week and we had activities to do: group therapy, art and music therapy. The psychiatrists are amazing and really listen to your needs. The food was good, not awesome but good enough. Also I've really got to know so many new people and share our experiences together and knowing you're not alone. I've also been to partial hospital and inpatient therapy. Vince is an amazing mentor and has really educated us about depression. I'm also impressed there was an pharmacy class to educate us on medication and how our brain chemistry works. I highly recommend anyone for any kind of treatment they need. read more

Like being told that you're "full of sh*t" by the doctor? This place actually deserves 0 starts! The staff (including the doctors) were horrible. The terrible treatment was constant throughout my stay. The other posts are right on. The day before I was discharged, I sustained a fall on a wet floor and seriously injured my eye. It was swelling fast and in severe pain, so I went to the nurses station to see if I could get it checked on. The nurse told me the doctor was busy, and said that there was nothing she could do. I finally got to see Dr. Khati about 7 hours later. The only other time I saw a doctor was when Dr. Karl pulled me out into the hallway to tell me that he thought "I was full of sh*t". I was discharged a day early. So basically, if you like to be verbally abused, have your requests and needs ignored, and enjoy a prison like experience, this is your place! read more

They state that family supports are the basis of care for the patients from admission to discharge. That's a JOKE!! I tried numerous times to get a meeting with my daughter's doctor, social worker, and team, but it never happened. They wouldn't even return my calls. Therefore, I never knew what they were doing to my daughter or how she was the entire time she was there. Also, they didn't let me know that they were transferring her to a different facility.
