As fate would have it, we were forced back to Gualala the next day to see a doctor and as I drove past Anchor Bay from opposite direction I knew we were staying that night. While in waiting room I called and they had a spot for my 24' RV that night. The woman was delightful on the phone and reserved our spot for the night. Pulled in right at closing time and got set up for sunset. This is a quaint little spot on the ocean with its own private beach. Dog friendly and beautiful as the waves crashed the shore. Hookup was easy, although I couldn't get my water hose to stop leaking at the RV inlet so it was puddling in the sand. Sites are a tad closer so you get to know your neighbors since they have limited space, I think only 45 sites. But as evening fell, you could hear the crashing waves. Was great to sit out in the darkness at midnight and see the moon reflecting in the crashing waves. Looked like electric flowing across the waves. A very memorable spot. There is supposedly a good Thai restaurant in walking distance with easy access from the beach. We only stayed one night, but would definitely go back. Our neighbors said they'd been there all week and meet up each year there.

Our son and his fiancé were to be married there before the beer festival and it went so well! The camp host, Reese, took such good care of us. She was kind, friendly, and oh so helpful! The crew that runs the maintenance part is amazing, as well! Becky, John, and Connor did all they could to make our stay comfortable and joyous. It is such a great community feeling there! Our rv sites were clean and mowed when we arrived. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The price of the sites is very inexpensive. Bring cash! The amenities nearby are plenty. We were able to get propane for our fire pits right down the road. We enjoyed visiting the nearby wineries and Anderson Valley Brewing Company. The grocery store has a deli and there's a taco truck right out front! We will definitely be making a trip back!

I stayed for two nights. Surprising amount of shade due to copious small, medium, and larger trees throughout the park but especially on the southern edge (next to noisy commercial loading facility, however) where huge pines block out the sun pretty much the entire day. In the heat of the summer this was a boon. No fires allowed. Urgh. Bonfires are fun! Charcoal and cooking fires appear to be ok though -- not allowed in brochure but the camp host and others are using em. Staff is friendly. Live-in camp hosts at two different sites will take care of you. Bathrooms and showers were good. Big shower stalls. Water slow to get hot but it definitely gets there. Very close to downtown Ukiah. Multiple wifi routers with strong signal are provided but internet was still awful -- probably competition for limited bandwidth from too many campers, and might be solvable with smart per-user throttling configuration help. I had to stick with LTE hotspot off the phone which was lightning fast by comparison but forced me to shell out $15 for a temp bandwidth upgrade. Oh well. No issues with "gang element", prisoners working nearby, or out of control grass. Other reviewers must have terrible luck.

The kitchen is very well stocked with all of the supplies and gear you could possibly need. The views from the house are absolutely incredible, and our family loved greeting the seals perched below each morning. Highlights from our stay included soaks in the hot tub, countless family walks on the bluff trails, exploring the Hot Spot Loop/San Andreas Fault Interpretive Loop, breakfast at Trinks in Gualala, lunch at the Lodge, grilling dinner on the deck, watching tons of World Cup games in the spacious and comfortable living room, and magical visits to Pebble Beach, Ohlson Beach, And Black Point Beach. This year, our boys also attended a week of Sea Ranch Kids Camp at the Links. They enjoyed their time there, especially the bounce house, art projects, and kayaking trip on the Gualala River. STAY AWAY It might…read moreseem like just a run down spot, but they are having other problems. Angela seemed to be on her last nerve fiber when I called. She asked a lot of personal questions about my life, my RV, and so on. I asked what she needed to know and she said she had had trouble with people moving in permanently. I'm so sorry for anyone who has to live here! She also accused me of trying to use an expired Good Sam membership. Every part of the process, she treated me like a criminal instead of a customer. I gave her the benefit of the doubt given she said she has chronic fatigue. I get that but wow When I arrived She said she needed to pick the spot for me and even though the park was half empty the whole 2 night stay, put me right next to the loudest people in the park. When I called she was kind enough to offer me a different site, but she wanted me to camp next to the electrical transformer. I finally ended up in a corner she said was full of homeless people, which turned out to be cats. I was concerned about the possibility of fleas given the cats were sheltering under my RV and I was also feeling pretty sick at this site. The place is run down but I could tell that from previous reviews. It was relatively quiet in my corner with the exception of the cats. In the morning I was to leave, I brought some grey water into the bathroom with me. She had gone into detail about how their sewage system was broken and at the site, the power was out and the sewage was overgrown. One could also see sewage overflowing around the trash cans. She BURST into the bathroom, slamming every door while I used the toilet and then yelled as I left: "WAS THAT URINE FROM YOUR TOILET?" I said no and explained it was water with a little soap. I called later just to be sure she understood what it was- I wanted to be responsible in case there was some issue with that method of grey water disposal. During the call, I also pointed out that treating guests this way, with this menacing constant suspicion doesn't help guests feel welcome. She told me to never make another reservation there (way ahead of you) and that if your RV is fully contained, one should use the site hookup. I thought I was doing them a favor but I guess not. I guess my money is not good enough for Angela or maybe her boss? Next thing I know I get a call from the same number and I picked up with the assumption that they were going to apologize. No, now they are accusing me of dumping toilet paper on their lot. The person said there was urine and toilet paper and that I need to return and clean it. I asked if I need to call the police because this was starting to become harassment. She said I needed to bring lye... I asked if she was accusing me of lying. It was so wild. She said no L-Y-E it's easy to remember. Are they disposing of bodies? WOW I have never been so freakishly mistreated by a camp host.

The tow truck driver towed us to the fairground in Ukiah. We got in pretty late but the camp hosts took care of us and got us a spot. The next day we were supposed to get a replacement RV by 9am but it didn't show up till 6pm. The hosts were nice enough to let us stay all day waiting for it to arrive. We ended up staying another night because it got so late. We needed room to tow the old one away and deliver a new one, so the hosts actually stuck a RESERVED sign on the space next to us so we'd have to room we needed. We really appreciate all their help and definitely to stay there again in the future.

I was part of a program and it ended in a retreat at Whispertree. So we stayed here for 3 or 4 days…read morein September 2024 for the retreat. There were between 30 and 40 of us here. I stayed in the house (can't recall the name now). Most of the group stayed at the camps. The bed was reasonably comfortable. They do have a beautiful kitchen. We catered our food. We only used the kitchen to boil water for tea. It was the bee season and our food was feeding the bees nicely. It was a moment to appreciate the co-existence in the nature. There was a hot tub on site. I didn't have time to enjoy it but I had some happy friends at night. There was an outdoor shower area and it looked quite nice. The bathrooms here are rustic yet modern? If that makes sense. The campus here is incredibly beautiful. The trees treated us nicely. There were many good memories left here and we were lucky to secure the facility for our retreat. Our program was pretty packed. I wished I had more time to explore the campus. It was beautiful here.

I felt comforted and supported, inspired and emboldened as a leader. Every detail was taken care of and every creature comfort was there! My guests were incredibly happy with the spaces and we had plenty of room for all of us. It's amazing how the land supported such deep work, as if the wisdom of all groups prior to ours had somehow primed and opened up the space for us to take our personal and collective journeys of transformation. You can feel all of the love and care of the owners and all of the stewards of the land who came before. It was magical, sacred, safe, transformative, deep, joyful, peaceful and more. I am still receiving insights for myself and for my group.
