Undeterred, I decided to take a stroll around the nursery to see if I could find any hidden gems. As I wandered through the rows of plants, my eyes caught sight of a peculiar sight. Nestled within a 15-gallon plant container, I noticed two black oak seedlings volunteering their presence. They seemed to be thriving amidst the other plants, their delicate leaves dancing in the gentle breeze. It was as if they were calling out to me, begging for a new home. With a sense of excitement and possibility, I approached the nursery staff to inquire about these unexpected discoveries. They seemed surprised, unaware that these resilient seedlings had taken root within the confines of the container. After a brief discussion, the staff kindly give me these little wonders, acknowledging that they could be a special addition to any garden. Carefully, I carried the seedlings to my car, installed them in water. Since the cost was zero, the value was outstanding.

Today I saw this feed store and decided to go check it out and see what they have to offer in comparison to the other feed stores I go to. As I'm looking around...I'm thinking, wow great prices! I comment to the girl there that they have good prices and she tells me they try to keep the prices lower than the other feed stores. I didn't need anything particular today but the prices were good and I thought I may as well grab a few things while I was there. One of the bags I was buying was a bag or "wet cob" priced at $23.99 for a 50 pound bag. I get to the register and the girl rings up the wet cob...$32.99! I ask her if the price was correct, she assures me it is. I thought maybe I had looked at the wrong price. I tell her it's too much for that and I switch to something else, she rings up my other items. As we're leaving, my friend and I go back to where the wet cob was and recheck the price....it in fact DID say $23.99. Soooo....why was she trying to charge me $10 more? She made a comment that she hadn't gotten around to changing the price tags. How long does it take to change a price tag because when we arrived no one was there. I don't know about you, but when I shop...the price of an item determines whether or not I buy the item. If the price says $5 but it's really $10? Chances are, I'm not buying it for $10 and the reason I bought it was because I though it was $5. With that being said, after I got home and checked my receipt.....Out of the 4 items on my ticket...only ONE had the price that I saw on the shelf. The other THREE items were rang up with different prices! I'm sorry young lady, but that is what you call Bait and Switch. This is my first and last visit to your feed store, I thought I had found a good one but that is not good business practice. Fix your shelf tags!

I had a 2 hour job that Raymond had assured me numerous times he would complete in the next week or…read moreday or two over the last 7 months. He never did show up as stated and he seldom replied to my email or phone inquiries. I have known Raymond for years and never previously knew him to act this way so I continued to have faith in him to eventually complete the job before my deadline from ECC for completion. About a week ago I sent him an email stating my frustration with his repeated misinformation and several promises to complete the job in previous months and stated this was not compatible with how I had known him to be. Today less than 2 weeks before final deadline, I see him working next door. He tells me he was not happy with that email and now refuses to do the work agreed upon. I don't know what happened to the man I once knew! At this time I am so disappointed in him and so frustrated with his constantly bailing on the assurances he gave me, I cannot recommend Raymond or Down to Earth for ANY job!!

I was recommended Van's as the source for the doors for my new custom home build in Copperopolis by…read moremy general contractor. I oriented myself to doors from YouTube as much as I could--a subject I knew nothing about--and thought through the design style I was looking for. When I went in for my appointment with Dave, sending the blueprints ahead of me, he was able to quickly walk me through the process of selecting my doors. For example, he knew from the blueprint that an exposed front door like mine really had to be fiberglass to hold up to the blazing heat and winter storms. The shaker style interior doors (MDF) were a no-brainer for me, but to choose the front door I had to take catalogues home. There was one stop back to finalize things months later before the order went in, and Dave pointed out that we had changed the front size, which would make the handle disproportionate. Changed it. I wasn't there for the installation process, the contractor coordinated it. It is Thanksgiving day, and I just wanted to thank Dave and his crew. All the doors make me happier than I could have imagined as a new home owner.
