Taco Bell is better. Just saying. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. That is pretty much all the positive points I can say. Walking up to the place, there were a few people inside at tables, no customers at the counter. I walked in, ordered, and watched the employees work getting orders ready. I ordered at 11:32, order #6. About five minutes after I ordered, they called #5. The next order was a few minutes later, #4. At the ten minute mark, they called out #2. That poor guy had to have been waiting forever. As I was watching the employees prep the orders, I watched employee 1 (wearing gloves) getting the taquitos from the storage and hand them to the manager who dropped them in the fryer. After a few minutes, manager uses tongs to grip the taquitos from the oil, tips them one way, then the other, and drops them in the serving container. I then saw employee 1 get some kind of cleaning bucket from the back, put it under the sink in front, and wipe off his still-gloved hands on his pants before going back to handling food. No glove switch, no hand washing. Later, he touched the order kiosk waiting on customers and went directly back to handling food, Employee 2 also touched the kiosk while gloved and went back to handling food orders directly after. I ordered to go but curiosity got the best of me so when I got my order at 11:45, I opened it up to try it. It was gross. The ends of the flour taquitos were crisp but everything in between was a soggy, oily mess. They weren't even warm enough to melt the cheese. I got one beef, one chicken, and one potato. I could only ID the beef. I think the potato was the spicier one. The beans were watery. The rice wasn't bad, but it's microwaved in a bag and dumped in the warmer they serve out of. I also ordered the street corn in a cup. It was drowning in squeezable butter flavored product and dusted with cheese. It was okay, but not anything like street corn. The food is amazing here!! It is NOT FAST FOOD!!! This is quality made, in house hand crafted deliciousness!!! Everything on the menu is crafted in the building by hand. The flavor of the sauces are absolutely top notch, the taquitos are hand rolled here, all the ingredients for each item are made here fresh!!!! Every day! Not like other places , that I won't mention...eat here once and you won't ever go back there again. This is locally owned so when you eat here you are helping a small local business. I ordered the chicken and potato taquitos. The sauce is OK, in my opinion and I thought the chicken was well seasoned. Honestly, my favorite were the potato ones. The orange rice had an interesting flavor palette, and the beans were pretty simple. I love their tea options as ai LOVE tea, but I'm not sure if I would come. I went through the drive thru. The workers explained the different ways they make their taquitos. I went with one that had a lot of sauce and was able to try potato, beef and chicken. The potato and beef were my favorite. The taquitos were nice and crispy. There beans were good too but the rice was meh. I'll be back to try the og style soon. read more

Went by for dinner last night. Just wanted to see what it was like. We got a two ground beef taco meal, taquitos, a protein bowl and a side of guacamole. I love the crunch on the taco shell, but I loved even more was I would break off pieces of the shell and scoop up the guacamole. That guacamole is so good. You can tell it's fresh, chunks of avocado, perfect amount of heat, and I love the amount of lime. They put on it. My son said his protein bowl was good. He inhaled the taquitos before he made it home. The two taco is the perfect size. It's just enough food to fill you up. The young lady behind the counter was super nice. We placed our order and got in and out really fast. I love how the tacos are made. They remind me of this little taco spot. I used to visit when I was younger and lived in LA. Anxiously waited for this place to open! So glad we have something like this in fresno now for the days I'm not wanting to make flautas at home lol. After a couple times of trying this place i do have a few opinions. First Of all having a drive thru is amazing. The decor inside is bright and they do a good job at keeping everything clean. The menu is simple but the sauces and toppings can add some flare! So when first trying this place i really enjoyed my meal. On the next couple of times i liked it a bit less. SO a bit of inconsistency. I did notice that on one of my visits the taquitos did taste more oily than the other times. Regardless the chicken flour ones were still good in my opinion. I did try the potato ones and those could use some improvement. The rice and beans were a bit to salty for my liking. As for the corn in the cup it's rather good and I'll be going to them each time I'm craving elote! Honorable mention are the queso fries, now those are quite good. Will i be back? Yes, for quick drive thru snacks! Do i think its the best place to get these items? No but they are convenient. read more

This place is one of the newer spots I've seen pop-up near the new development in northwest Fresno so I wanted to try it out! First, I had no idea they had a drive-thru! So if you want something quick, now you know you don't need to get out of the car! The food was great! The taquitos were nice and crispy, and everything was warm! The bento-box-styled container is very nice as it separates everything too. The mild sauce I got with the loaded combo was good! It wasn't really spicy at all, but it offered some slight heat. Think more like some spicy mayo at a hibachi restaurant. The churro donut was also great! It wasn't too sweet and it had a crisp outside with a super fluffy inside! The service was very quick and nice! It was a bit slow, with only 1 other table being used but the staff was very friendly and offered to give recommendations given it was my first time there. The place is very modern and it's not too noisy. I love that you can see within the kitchen also, as it has an open-floor plan. read more

Was in the area and decided to give them a try! They weren't busy inside but it was a cold night, thankfully for drive thru. Upon looking at the menu it looked simple the lady on the intercom greeted us right away. As we were ordering didn't realize it was quite complex as they had many options as to modify your meal. We ended up asking so many questions, haha the lady was so patient and kind. Thankfully there was no one behind us felt like we there talking to her for longer than 10mins. We ended up ordering 4pk beef taquito meal (corn tortilla), queso fries, and Asada nachos. They give you options on the spice of the salsa from mild to spicy can't quite remember what they called it). We also ordered sweet corn in a cup but realized they did add it to our order, thankfully we weren't charged. Waited about 10mins for our food at the window. The kind worker recommended the taco burger and one of their bowls during our next visit. It's about a 25min drive from my house to this location and the food was still very warm. To our surprise the food was AMAZING! Everything was fresh. The queso fries smelled like it had gravy, the fries perfectly fried and perfect cheesy goodness! The rice and beans were delicious so much flavor and a hit of spice. The taquitos were amazing very crunchy and the beef was good. The asada nachos were also good!! The tortillas were thick. Just a tab bit on the pricey side for the portions but actually super surprised that everything was tasty! Only regret was that we didn't order more food! I honestly cannot wait to return! read more

Paid for and a Long wait to receive.....they were busy! FYI, there is an 80 cent charge to get extra hot sauce. She apologized after forgetting to add it upon asking why there was an extra charge. Lunchtime! My chicken asada bowl was Really Good!! Actually, surprisingly good! The chicken & asada tasted much better than it looks. Tasty beans, rice, fresh guacamole and salsa. Spicy hot Tasty extra hot salsa! Leftovers for me too! Good amount. Mother said hers was good, but complained she didn't have a good amount of meat. Decided to try this place since it's new in town. I got the OG Taquitos meal and the corn in a cup. The taquitos themselves had a great flavor but 0 crunch which was a little disappointing. The rice was super garlicky and yummy but the beans had a flavor I wasn't a fan of. The corn itself lacked in some seasoning but with a little extra additives it would've been great. The service at this location was absolutely phenomenal and the workers were super helpful and kind!! I came back for the 3rd time so I could try the churro donuts this time and OMG they came out warm and delicious. Service was quick and I was greeted immediately when I walked in. The music wasn't too loud this time and of course the crowd wasn't crazy like the first day so I was able to hear my order when it was called out. A pleasant surprise and change from the norm. Although the weird mixture of reggae music at a Mexican food served restaurant, the staff was kind and welcoming. The food was quite delicious! Most would not think much of taquitos, but the creative toppings with unique side of beans and rice makes this a must try for any person looking for something new! The potato tacos are of a mashed/puree style, not tasty at all. The drink machine was not in order. They were out of flour tortillas for the beef taquitos. The place was still clean (1 star). The green salsa was super spicy and flavorful (hence another star). $38 for 5 pack of taquitos without the guac sauce, 2 potato taco combo and 1 extra taco. I wouldn't come back nor recommend, there is another taco spot nearby that does not miss on their taquitos. I had the pleasure of trying the beef taquitos (corn and flour) on soft opening day 1! I got them in the drive thru. The corn stood up and were still delicious after the drive home. The flour did not make it under the weight of the sauce. I think eating them at the restaurant would do them justice. The churro donut was delightful. Warm. Soft. Sweet. The service was wonderful and it seems they are getting the kinks out. My food was beautifully presented. It was so delicious I forgot to take a picture. Well, I went to this place for lunch. I had not tried it before and it was just brand newly opened. The restaurant was very clean. There is a picture or a big piece of artwork on the wall that shows the owner when he was playing at Fresno State University. It wasn't that cheap to eat there and the french fries were very tasty. I understand these days. It's just very difficult to go anywhere and not pay quite a bit of money for any food. Owners of businesses have to pay for rent, electricity, insurance employee costs, and when you have a bunch of those, it's impossible to lower the cost of food. If you're hungry and you want a taquito, you should try it see if you like it. read more

Tried a new place in Fresno for dinner last night and it was delicious!! Taquitos and tacos are crispy. They are made fresh to order and filled with plenty of protein. Loved the crunch with every bite. Service was amazing. The menu is simple which makes it easy to order. The whole restaurant greets and thanks you after every customer. The restaurant is very clean and the decor is nice. The food is a little pricey but worth it. I get a ton of Tex Mex vibes from this place. I think this is something that Fresno needed to have and it will be a successful business. I tried the taco burgers, reminiscing about Taco Bell's discontinued Bell Burgers. They were extremely disappointing! First of all, my bill was $10.79, I paid with a $20 bill. The cashier was out of 5's and called for change. I offered another dollar to get back $10.21 instead of $9.21. She said: "I don't know how to do that, I have change coming". (I tried to explain to no avail to a California educated person.) I waited several minutes, with a customer behind me, until she got some 5's. My change was one 5, three 1's, five quarters, two dimes & a penny. Obviously she can't count and was also out of 1's and not smart enough to call for more for future sales. Five minutes later a guy comes out calling "#55"! Everyone had food but me, so I asked "#59? 2 burgers?" He replied: "no, #55" and returned to the kitchen. Several minutes later he came back and said "yes, this is yours". I got home with 2 burgers in a box covered with taco sauce fingerprints. The buns weren't toasted and there was no fry sauce, as described on the menu. The meat was sloppy wet with way too much taco sauce while the large non-crumbled chunks of ground meat were bland. Overall, the burgers were sloppy wet and overly spicy from too much sauce and the non-toasted buns were soggy. I might go back in a year or two if they hire a competent manager, train their employees, and survive that long. Unless my experience was a fluke, I seriously doubt they'll last that long. I also noticed the picture on their menu shows a taco with a cracked shell. Who would be proud to advertise or serve that? A picture on Yelp shows 2 tacos with broken shells! Obviously they have no pride in their product and no quality control protocols. read more

opening a Mexican restaurant in Fresno is very challenging as we have SO MANY and to open a chain is more of a challenge. We finally tried out this place. started to drive through but didn't want to Rush order so we went inside. this place is super clean and the employees are very nice and professional. We were pretty excited to order the Taco burger because they were a hit at Taco Bell back in the day. The taste was satisfactory only because the bun was smashed. All of our food was lukewarm. The OG Taquitos were also just satisfactory because the ends were burnt. Not in a hurry to return there but I'm sure they are doing their best. read more
