Came in to check on a specific date just 36. While waiting for a sales associate, I found the exact model that I wanted to gift for a friend who graduated law school. And after waiting 7 minutes for an associate decided to take a picture of the rolex model I was looking for. The security guard started yelling at me "my man, my man!" I turned and he yelled "you can't take a picture!" I didn't respond because I was surprised by his lack of professionalism. No signs indicate you can't take a picture, and I visited many Rolex stores: Honolulu, LA, DC, San Diego, Vegas, and have taken pictures with no issue. All in all, the reaction, tone, demeanor and professionalism was lacking. I walked out immediately after. This occurred Wednesday October 22nd at 2:30 PM. read more

I recently purchased an Explorer on the grey market to celebrate a big milestone in my career. I called this location and spoke to Jeff to ask if they'd help me in resizing the bracelet. I was told the service would be 100% complimentary even though I didn't purchase the Explorer through them. Jeff wasn't at the store today but Danny was and he was one of the most friendly salesperson I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. He was able to help me resize the bracelet in minutes, and was friendly as ever even though I wasn't a paying customer of this particular boutique. read more

On August 31, 2024, I brought my Rolex timepiece to the Rolex Boutique Tourneau on Michigan Avenue, Chicago, for repair due to a malfunction with the date adjustment. On September 13, 2024, I was informed that my watch was ready for pick up, but upon collection, I was told that it could not be repaired as a crucial component--the Automatic Module--was missing. My watch had functioned properly during my 12 years of ownership, and to my knowledge, all parts were intact when I entrusted it to the Rolex Boutique Tourneau. The Boutique now claims, without evidence or cause to support it, that the part was removed by another jeweler over a year ago. However, my watch had no issues during the past year, and the missing part was only identified while the watch was in the care and supervision of Rolex Boutique Tourneau and its service center in New York. On September 24, 2024, I contacted Rolex Headquarters (HQ) customer service regarding a serious discrepancy involving the handling of my watch by one of their authorized partners, the Rolex Boutique Tourneau on Michigan Avenue, Chicago. I informed Rolex HQ of the substandard customer service I had received from the Rolex Boutique Tourneau and that, while under their care, my watch was reported to have a missing part by Rolex New York HQ. To the best of my knowledge, all components of my watch were intact at the time I entrusted it to the Rolex Boutique Tourneau. The sudden claim that a critical part was missing raised serious concerns regarding the handling of my property while it was in the care of the Boutique. I was informed by the staff that due to the missing Automatic Module, the watch could not be repaired and that Rolex's policy dictates that they do not replace core parts that are reported as missing. Following this alarming revelation, I sought clarification from Rolex New York HQ regarding the status of my watch. During the discovery process, Rolex New York confirmed that there were no records indicating prior service performed on my watch outside of their organization, nor was there any evidence suggesting that any other parts were not original to the timepiece. This confirmation was crucial in reinforcing my belief that the missing Automatic Module had been lost while my watch was under the care and supervision of the Rolex Boutique Tourneau. Subsequently, I learned that, the Director of Rolex Boutique Tourneau, had been in direct communication with Rolex New York, making false claims regarding the condition of my watch. the Director at Rolex Boutique Tourneau , who is not an employee of Rolex but oversees operations at the Boutique, asserted that the Automatic Module had been removed by another jeweler over a year ago. However, this claim is unfounded and based solely on his assumptions, with no supporting evidence to substantiate it. As the last known individual to handle my watch prior to its arrival at Rolex HQ in New York, these assertions raise significant concerns about the accountability of the Boutique and the integrity of the claims being made. I found it particularly troubling that the Boutique continued to pursue this matter with Rolex New York despite my informing them that I had spoken directly with their headquarters and did not require his assistance in resolving the issue. I felt threatened by the Director of Rolex Boutique Tourneau when he implied the influence his name carries at Rolex HQ in New York, stating that they would follow his direction and claims, and disregard me as the customer / watch owner. Given the circumstances, it is apparent that there has been a serious mishandling of my property, either by Rolex New York HQ or their authorized partner, the Rolex Boutique Tourneau. The fact that a critical part of my watch is now reported missing while it was in their care raises significant questions about their handling practices and the overall accountability for the items entrusted to them. read more

I have gone into several ADs over the last year. Most of them are unfriendly and act like they dont need your business- which is fair i guess because they dont. My journey took about a year when I met Danny and he put me on a list for an OP. The sad part is I got very sick over this past year and spent a LOT of time at the hospital nearby. This also meant that I had to walk by this store every week. I have been to a few AD's in other cities and none of them make you feel good as this store. Even the security guards are nice. I got some bad medical news this week and decided to walk in. Jeff greeted me and said he would check to see what he had in stock. He came out with an expllorer II. It was gorgeous, but not really what I wanted. I have read that if you pass on a watch you are usually not given a second chance. I left the store sad. Well 2 hours later, Jeff called me and said he had an air king if im interested. I thought about it for a second and said yes. I had wanted a blue OP originally. I came in the next day and Jarrett help me purchase the watch. He was very nice and professional. Just what you would expect from a Rolex store. After 40 years of wanting one of these watches I am proud to say that I am part of the club. I could not be happier. Jeff ypu have now idea how much you made my year. Thank you very much read more

This was the worst Rolex experience I have ever had. As it is an hour and half way, I arranged with my sales associate to come in on a Saturday, and she said she would put the two watches that I was interested in on hold for a week. The night before, she texted me and said that she was not working on Saturday, but that someone else would be able to help me. When I come in, I try the watches and decide, and am ready to purchase. They then say they do not have the watches in inventory, as I tried on display watches. I responded by saying that I talked to my other associate on Thursday, two days ago, and was told that the watches were in and that she'd hold them for a week. The new associate looked worried and said would I like to speak with the manager. Of course! The manager came over and said that the watches had been sold, but then said that if I make an appointment for next week, that they would present a watch to me of their choosing. I said that I didn't want a random watch, I wanted the one that I had been waiting 9 months to purchase. He then said that they would present that one. I said that I thought you didn't have that one, and he said it's an experience. I didn't understand what that meant, but said that if they have the watch, that I would be happy to make an appt. to come in and purchase it. He said he didn't, but was happy to set up an appt. to give me an experience. I then said, let me know when you have the watch, and I'll make an appt. for the "experience." He then said that I was making a scene and being difficult. Confused, I left and will never purchase from here again. read more

So I came in here for a really easy request. See, my wife Kendall A. who is amazing, bought me a new Rolex. She saved for more than a year to make it happen. And it is beautiful and amazing and I love it and I love her! So I came in to the Rolex shop to get my new watch adjusted to fit me. I came in and showed them the watch, they went in back, took a link out (which they gave to me in a small plastic bag, of course), checked the fit, and I was on my way. Free of charge and fast as lightning. Beyond their service, they have a magnificent collection of Rolex watches. Like 100. Simply beautiful. The service was fast and friendly. This couldn't be a nicer place. I'll be back any time I need help or in the unlikely event that I'm in the market for a new Rolex. read more

Danny is awesome to work with, had my wife's datejust serviced, I'd drive 2 hours to come here any day vs dealing with grunos.

I grabbed coffee with a good friend recently and our conversation turned to watches. I mentioned looking for a piece to commemorate and wear at my wedding next year. He recommended that I stop by the Rolex boutique and talk to Mary Ahn, who both him and his family have had a relationship with for many years. Her name sounded familiar and I realized that Mary was the same person I talked to ~3 years ago. My grandfather had passed and left me his watch, which I had seen him wear every single day. Mary graciously gave me background info. about it - a 36mm datejust that is relatively simple amidst other models - but the time she gave me and appreciation she showed for the watch left a mark. My fiancé and I were wedding band shopping this past Saturday on Michigan Ave. and I decided to stop by the boutique. Mary greeted me and sat down to talk to the two of us to discuss what we were looking for. I was thoroughly impressed - she was warm, kind and patient while I looked through different models in the catalogue. I was admittedly looking to get a sought after sports model. Mary did not pass my interest off and claim outright unattainable. She suggested certain dial variations that would be more attainable, which showed a sincere effort to help me land a piece that I would love and pass down as a family heirloom. My fiancé's engagement ring is an heirloom of my family's and we are hoping I will be able to also pass down a watch with the special memory of our wedding attached. read more

I contacted this location a few months ago and spoke to Ben who was supposed to get back in touch but I never heard from him. Later on a friend connected me to Ashley and she was immediately able to get me an appointment and while the watch (es) I wanted were in the 5-8k range, I ended up paying almost 13k for a watch I didn't even think I would like, she's that awesome and I love the watch I bought. Ashley has since left the company and I asked if I would hear from anyone there after they take her accounts over. I was told I would be hearing from Ben to discuss the watches I was still interested in. I have not heard a word. Moving on. read more

I'm going to guess that most people in the market for a rolex aren't checking reviews on yelp first. That said, I'm reviewing anyway. I was searching for a stainless steel daytona with white dial and called ahead to see if they had one. This model is supposedly notoriously hard to find so I was pretty psyched when they said yes. I talked to Michael and told him I'd be in at noon. He was very friendly and knowledgable. The service was excellent, though I did ask if they had a black dial and he dissuaded me from looking. I later went back and got it resized because it was a little too tight the first time. Again, they remembered me and were very friendly and helpful. read more

I tried to come into the store the week of May 17th. Door was locked so I politely knocked. A man said it was appointment only and to call the number next to the door. I called twice, no answer so knocked again. I asked him what he would do if he was in my situation and he said "I don't know". I asked for the manager and was greeted by Stephanie A. , assistant store director. She said she was booked and had three appointments. At this time the store was completely empty. Our exchange took about 10 minutes so either all the appointments were late or this was a fib. I made an appointment and emailed ahead of time to see what styles were available and she told me only a few Cellini collection, but I saw multiple styles in the window. Why would you lie to me about this? I'll find another dealer and go there and I recommend anyone else does the same. read more

Ben was great! Excellent to work with and so professional. Ben also had great product knowledge.

They say patience is a virtue, and that the best things in life are worth waiting for. I understood these points as I left my name on the waiting list for one particular watch I really wanted from the store. As the years passed, I saw multiple life milestones come and pass me by- a special birthday, a wedding, a promotion, and so forth. I remained calm and courteous, asking for updates on the watch every few months. Throughout this time, I asked the sales associates if it would help me to have purchased *other* timepieces to help "establish a relationship" with them. They told me no, that they do *not* provide priority for someone who has not made any purchases in the past. So you could imagine my frustration when I found out several grey-market dealers in the Chicagoland area had bought multiple pieces of the very same watch that I wanted from the dealership- throughout the period that I was patiently waiting. They'd put their name down and after a couple months, they'd be reselling the piece elsewhere. When I asked how they're able to, one of the resellers said "easy, I just bought a Submariner from them first." My problem with Tourneau is not that they adopt an allocation-based sales model. I get that. I understand why they do, and I believe it ends up helping the owners just as much as it helps the authorized retailers. I wish, however, they were simply honest about it. I wasted literally three years waiting for that timepiece, and when I tried to find a channel to make it happen, they insisted that there was no other way than to wait- a falsehood that was blatantly exposed by the greater Chicagoland area watch seller network. Watches are sentimental things. We want one particular watch to keep forever, or at least a very, very long time- and we want the experience to be a positive one. The wait should feel worthwhile. The Tourneau Rolex boutique on Michigan Avenue simply left me with the blatant, unmistakeable message that the wait is *not* worthwhile, and that their services are *not* worth going out of your way for. read more

The watches are the same everywhere but it's the customer service that makes or breaks a showroom like this. I went in to look for a specific watch, and Michael assisted me. He was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, answered all my questions. Usually, when I go to bigger showrooms even around Chicago, the salespeople are indifferent and just want you to buy a watch, they couldn't care less if you need more information. In this case, Michael immediately emailed me pictures and gave me his card and even answered questions about maintenance of my previous purchase, etc. I am impressed, I will definitely go back here next time. read more

Despite the intimidation one is faced with upon entering a store like Rolex, you have to grasp the complexity of movement involved in the making to selling one of the few items in life that retain their value. I paid 7K for a 10K used timepiece. Yeah sure 7K is a stretch but in the end I can turn it just like that for what I paid. True it's not a stock and the risk of loss is bout neck to neck of that of a Rolex but that's why we have insurance. So before you pass judgement on a staff liable for anyone whom may be a moonlighting trespasser be warned they are there to serve you ultimately - even it it means taking your hat off as I was asked. I came to the manufacturer of my timepiece to resolve an issue with the clasp which was done on the spot by none other than a woman of elegance at no charge. read more

One buys a Rolex watch because they appreciate the finer things in life and high quality. Rolex is legendary for manufacturing amongst the finest automatic mechanical movements in the world. I love automatic movements and prefer over quartz battery watches. There's something marvelous about automatic watches powered solely by wrist movement. Unconscionably rude staff who would not let me pay by credit card without showing ID, and then accused me of having a fake driver's license. Suffice it to say, it was not "fake." Hmmm how should I put this... attempt to open the door but it was locked. A security detail came out immediately and said it' is by appointment only. (That's okay I understand, these are crazy times) then the security continue to say we don't have what you are looking for, skymasters or anything. ( I didn't know Rolex released a skymaster in 2021) I did not say anything to prompt him to preemptively tell me They don't have what I am looking for. So in an attempt to continue the conversation I asked if they had any date just; to which he replied, nope! I looked at the window and they had at least 5-7 date just displayed with multiple watches inside. Also I caught a glimpse of a black rubber strap indicating perhaps a yacht master. Anyways, customers who venture into the Rolex realm prepare to spend 5-80k should be greeted with more respect. If you are going to lie to my face, make the lie more realistic. End of the day this store made me question my lifelong loyalty to Rolex... perhaps Rolex should not be represented by stores with such horrible customer service. read more
