This is a long overdue review, but I wanted to make sure they knew how much I appreciate them and their help. I had Rohan glass cut a piece of mirror and brushed nickel schluter for me for a bathroom wall. I wanted to install it myself, so they gave me some tips on what type of glue and screws to use. They even drilled the holes in the schluter for me when I went to back to get another piece (I screwed up the first one). I would definitely use them again. read more

We have used Rohan Glass for various table top glass but we really needed a new Glass Shower Door Enclosure so I called them and they scheduled an appointment on the day that I needed, they showed up on time and took detailed measurements and were prompt on giving us a fair price . They came out again and took more exact measurements and ordered exactly what I wanted . Rohan Glass has been a fixture in North Hollywood since who-knows-when. It was there in 1985 when I moved to "Valley Glen" which is realtor talk in an attempt to make the area sound more desirable & therefore up home prices & thereby up their commissions. However, compared to then & now, Rohan has changed from having a storefront to becoming a "backdoor" operation which can't really be seen from the Oxnard Street. You have to walk into the drive way to the right of the building to reach their business now. The only indication of the store is an abbreviated sign in front with an added small sign stating, "Last Stop for Glass before the Freeway". (So very tongue-in-cheek) But the door under the big Rohan sign clearly instructs Rohan customers to go to the driveway. I have taken many window frames with the window glass broken, and they will fix & install the new glass. Many years later & by then had left the neighborhood, but still remembered Rohan for its good service & quality repair with reasonable prices. One day I accidentally broke off the front leg of my irridescent glass lizard I had gotten at the Guthrie/Rinard Gallery in New Orleans....love that crazy, laissez-les-bons-temps-rouler city of voodoo & excellent, unique Cajun/Creole cuisine. The guys at Rohan Glass bonded the two pieces together to the point you could barely see the meeting of the two glass pieces, except for the underside where the bonding was more obvious. However, how many people are going to flip the glass lizard over & see the ultra thin crack? Since it took me about two weeks to come pick up my lizard, the guys at Rohan made him their "pet" and named him "Chip". Cool place to get all your glass work repaired as well as buying new glass related pieces. Update: 2017-2-21 Nydia helped me out, & she is a fun, thoughtful, fast talking, efficient dynamo who runs the store w/ charming savoir-faire. Responded super-fast on Yelp, gave me a reasonable quote, and they were just up the street from me (Valley Village area), so I took my square coffee table directly into their shop for accurate measurements. The location is a little hard to find -- you'll need to pull into a blink-and-you'll-miss-it alleyway off Oxnard, and it's a busy street, so be careful with your entry/exits. Once inside, everyone was incredibly friendly; there was no rush on the order, but turnaround time was stupid quick (1-2 days), and the results speak for themselves. Where do I start? Their customer service is absolutely phenomenal. I was looking to simply get a quote on a window that I needed fixed. When I called I got Nydia; the most caring, friendly and outgoing woman I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Not only did she walk me through the process of what I needed to do in order to get the window panel to their location, she told me that they would lend me the tool to take it out. As a 25-year-old at the time of this post I can say that helped tremendously as I'm still in the stage of life where rent and food take precedence over most things in my budget. The other shower enclosure (a straight forward 90 degree enclosure with door) ended up being 45% higher than 3 other bids. When he sensed my shock on the phone, he asked how much higher he was. I told him. He said to be careful of quality, etc. We had the other guy do our other bathroom, so we know at least 1 of the 3 alternate bids was great quality. I told him so. I had a wonderful experience using Rohan Glass. My glass shower door was too heavy for its hinges, which had bent to the point that I couldn't open the door. One call to Rohan did it all! They came out the next day, measured for a supporting bar, and had it installed a few days later. They overcharge and don't necessarily cut the glass there. I used Rohan Glass recently and as stated in my earlier review was quoted more than a competitor. They matched their price the first time. But, I was quoted double what another shop in the valley quoted me and I had to wait several days for it. I like to support local business, but when I needed a single piece of regular window glass this time measuring 11" x 18" I was quoted $40! Whoa! I was told by the woman who helped me that I would 99% get it the same day but she couldn't promise me. Without even thinking about it, I made a drive to my old neighborhood and got the same exact piece of glass for $9.54! I waited less than 5 minutes for it. Why would they charge a returning customer 4x as much? It was dishonest and I really felt insulted by it. I won't go back there. read more

Great people! I bought some glass from them to built shelves for a built-in after my renovation. Nydia was amazing! She told me how to measure the space I have to make sure I had the right measurements, and she advised me how to install my shelves. We did have a small problem with the size the first time but she helped me out and we got the pieces cut the right size on the second time.
