Well, I think the first visit was a fluke and just happen to have all the right ingredients show up on that particular night to make it wildly entertaining from an observe-and-report point of view. On the return visit the crowd was drastically different, the awesomely entertaining bartender was no longer there (and when I mean no longer there I mean she was fired from the bar after the previous weekend I was told,) and there was just no energy in the place. So, this place might be hit-or-miss depending on what you're looking for. I doubt I will be returning because I think it was a one-and-done mix on the first visit and the place is a little out of my way in general. Since Peppermill is still a smoke filled dive bar with a couple of other decent dive bars within a few blocks of it I will keep my rating at an 'OK' 3 stars.

I don't know what got into me - maybe it was the poolside ambiance or the exciting view of downtown Fort Worth - I knew I wanted a stiff cocktail. The Mojito successfully delivered. For a reasonable price, the serving size was generous as were there fresh ingredients of the drink.
