So I hopped on a plane to London one day on my own because I heard Drake say something about YOLO on the radio and I'm an impressionable teen. My hotel was a walk away from this tattoo studio so I thought "AYYYYY my dad hates tattoos let's get it started hot" and walked in wanting to get my first tattoo at a foreign place in commemoration of the day. Should've probably thought what I wanted to get through more, but spontaneity is a beast of burden in that way and as a result I had no idea what I wanted to get as an image to go with the date. Two wonderful, wonderful, chill as hell, beauties by the name of Mike & Anna (I THINK. I SUCK BALLS AT NAMES) were working and Mike sort of just went back and forth with me on what I wanted. Which I was really grateful for because it meant my tattoo would have more of a relation to the artist as well. We settled on a Poppy (nothing to do with remembrance day or anything I'm just a dumb tourist that saw it everywhere when I landed) and simple print date because I'm also a dumb hipster that likes minimalistic shit. Also holy shit I didn't even have an appointment and they were still like come on in! ANYWAY, I asked Mike to put it at a discrete location in case I needed to hide it from my parents or my workplace so it's on my side next to my left breast. The poppy's like my third nipple lol. I even got away with going completely naked to a bathhouse in Japan where tattoos are a no no, so size and placement get a 10/10 For a first tattoo it was like a weird tickle, it never hurt, but Mike kept asking if I was okay anyway through out the whole thing. So rad! And Anna & Mike were so easy to talk to, easy going, honest, and even made me a damn list of places to see during my stay. I don't remember how long it took because time flew by. Anna even gave me a contact in case I needed a locals help cause she felt bad for me and seriously y'all were nice x 1000. I wish I could've met the others that worked here, because if these two were anything to go by, the other artists are probably a blast too. My tattoo is so clean and well done, can't believe I lucked out on walking in here for my first one. Next time I stop by London I'll be sure to bring gifts and get another. In the end, the tattoo doesn't just remind me of the trip, but it reminds me of the really brilliant time I had in Lauren's studio with two awesome tattoo artists. So much more worth it.

I got my first piercing there when i was 14 I got my nose pierced and Verna was really kind and helpful. I went back a couple of years later to my second lobe, industrial and a flat piercing, and I got looked after when I had a bit of trouble during one of the piercings. Also I highly recommend this place because their aftercare was amazing, when I was having problems they were happy for me to pop in and check over if everything was ok. Overall they have lovely staff, they don't rush through things and they have great aftercare.

Was disappointed with the quality. Lines and shading both quite bad... there are multiple errors which Kai refused to acknowledge. wobbly lines, and spacing is inconsistent. I feel mugged off as he u Insisted he could do the design I was asking for and said it was "dead simple" but the final result was like a sloppy low grade version with poorly executed lines. I was also disappointed by the customer service from Kai and generally he was not very friendly. Literally the type of artist I was trying to avoid. The tattoo was very important as it is in remembrance of my brother but Kai still refused to give me a partial refund to go towards having it fixed by someone else. I would not want it redone by Kai for free as he didnt do a good job on the lines and I would not trust him to do a good job second time around. He was also very unsympathetic and even patronising in his reply, bringing up one of my other tattoos by another artist having the audacity to say it did not heal well and that I am not happy with that one either. When in reality I am very happy with my other tattoo which is 10 years old, has never needed a touch up and looks far better than the one Kai gave me. Regardless it is Very inappropriate to bring up my tattoo by another artist. Really regret going to him. Massively disappointing experience, and now my memorial for my brother is ruined. They said that Elle would be available to do the tattoo. It is a very detailed tattoo and she was not scared of it but excited by the tattoo. When I arrived to Kilburn I was quickly greeted and completed an online waiver. Elle introduced herself and showed me the art that she created. She put a lot of time and creativity in preparing to tattoo me. We agreed on a size and location and then got to work. I was beyond impressed with Elle's talent. My tattoo is amazing!! Elle has a light touch and in incredibly detailed in her tattooing. I was able to watch a few other tattoo artist while I was there and they were also incredibly talented. I called on a Saturday morning and spoke to their very sweet receptionist, Chloe. I told her the tattoos that each of us wanted to get (song quote for me, roman numerals for him) and she asked me to email the designs over to her and she would see if she could get us in same day. No more than an hour after I sent the designs in I received an email back from Nik Carville (owner) saying he could fit us in 90 minutes later. We couldn't' believe it. The shop itself is small but very clean. They sell t-shirts and have a donation can for their beer fund, which I loved. I went in first. Nik was easy to work with and was quick at his craft. He also had a very dry sense of humor and he and his colleague (who was tattooing someone else next to me) joked the whole time I was in there. It was very entertaining and really took my mind off of the pain. My boyfriend is also very happy with Niks work. I would say the only downside to our visit was the parking - there is only street parking - but you can't dock a star for that. All around, it was a 5-star experience. We would go back.
