I was referred to Gus months ago, and my only regret is that I did not go sooner. As a cross-country motorcycle rider I had jammed up my shoulder pretty good went into see him. It was the most amazing hour and a half spent working, not just on my shoulder, which, by the way, after a few days of soreness I was at a good 90% better. He worked on the entire body. Two weeks later my lower back and hips were giving me problems due to other activities. Booked again and my goodness this man listens and focuses in need and then balances the attention to all areas the surrounding areas. Again, I know I'm gonna be sore in the next day or two but after that, I expect to feel much better. His availability if you do not pre-book is pretty tight so I learned my lesson and at the end of todays session I've already booked for two weeks out!!! read more

Had my first visit with Gus last week after he was recommended by my lash tech & I was not disappointed one bit! I had so much built up tension & I left feeling so relaxed and loose. I've had many massages where I left feeling like my problem areas weren't addressed but he worked out as much out as possible in my 90 mins and I didn't leave in pain as I have with past experiences elsewhere. You can tell this isn't just a job for him and he actually wants to work your tension out and that is exactly what I've been looking for. Also, tiny but mighty detail...I screwed up & wore my hair down and he had a water bottle, mints AND a hair tie conveniently placed out for me! This was my first time going to a masseuse, and I can say Gus set the bar VERY high! I recently majorly upped my weightlifting routine, and ended up pulling something in my left shoulder. Gus' schedule was super booked but there just so happened to be a slot open after I got off work. This guy HAS to be magic. He knew EXACTLY what and where to work on, even in trouble spots I didn't mention. His pressure was firm exactly where it needed to be. You can tell he knows exactly what your body needs and really pays attention to every detail of it. I didn't even realize how many aches and pains I had until he got rid of them! He also made sure to check in with me throughout the session which I majorly appreciated. I was very nervous about undressing and being given a massage by another man, but Gus' professional and calm demeanor put my nerves to rest. He kept the blanket over my lower and stomach area the whole time and respected my boundaries. I'm not much of a talker so I appreciated that we didn't talk much during the session. BTW the atmosphere in his area is great! Nice decorations and the lofi beats music was perfect. Overall: 12/10!!! I would give more than 5 stars if Yelp let me. I was the victim of a hit & run on the freeway (they caught the guy). Basically I was t-boned in my driver's side door and spun out. This resulted in me hitting my head on the driver's side window, giving me a concussion and a shoulder tear among other issues. After the collision, I saw a chiropractor who basically did nothing. I also saw an acupuncturist who was wonderful. But, when COVID hit, she stopped coming up to the Antelope Valley. So, I asked around on Instagram for referrals and recommendations and that's how I was introduced to Gus. I told him about my injuries before booking to make sure it was a good fit and let him know what had happened so that he could make it a comfortable experience as I am still in pain. I'm happy to say, Gus is GREAT! I have now been seeing him for several months. THE SPACE: He sets the massage room space for you to help you relax. The temperature of the room is perfect. He uses a heated pad under you and then also has something for your back. It's fairly quiet outside of the massage room in the entire spa space so you aren't crazy distracted with other spa customers. He uses essential oils for aroma therapy and plays music that is relaxing. Everything is clean in the space, it's not cluttered. LET'S CHAT ABOUT GUS: He is strong and his pressure is on point. He often checks in to see how I am doing. His appearance is clean cut. (I once had a masseusse whose cologne had me sneezing when I first entered the room I worried the entire time face down because my nose was running!) If I'm quiet, he is too. (I had one masseusse at a high-end spa talk the ENTIRE time!) He can really hone in on the areas that hurt but still creates balance going over other areas. I feel like Gus really cares about tackling my problem areas and yet still helping me relax. AFTER: I drink a lot of water and get a good night's sleep. I do find that I sleep better after the massage and my pain and stress levels are better for a while. I've also added yoga into my self-care and feel that the massage + yoga is very helpful as I continue in my recovery. Around the end of Week 2, I know it's time to see Gus again! I text him for availability and find that 'the secret' must be out because he is often booked! Then I ask myself why I don't just pre-book! Go SEE Gus and then thank me! read more

So I was a total newbie to massages and a little nervous about what to expect. Gus has been absolutely awesome and a pro in his craft. I started developing some joint problems after upping my workout game and his massages have been a game changer. After one massage I had lasting relief from almost all of my pain. Wow! I recently discovered Gus through Instagram. I had read the reviews and thought I'd give him a try. I have been going to massage therapists for years and they can be hit or miss. I am a registered nurse and spend a lot of time on my feet so periodical massages are a must. With Gus, the first time he put his hands on my back I felt an immediate difference in quality. I appreciate a good amount of pressure during massages and he did not disappoint. Everything was perfect and he checked in at several points during the massage to make sure it was so. I have been going to Gus since 2007. Everyone has that one person- that doctor, hairdresser, trainer who they could not live without and Gus would be that person for me! I have always had constant neck stiffness, which is a very sensitive place that you don't trust anyone to massage. He gingerly but persistently works out the stiffness so I am able to have full turning radius on my neck. By going to Gus fairly religiously on a monthly basis, my neck stiffness has become less severe and it's rare that I'm in full stiff neck mode! My husband who regularly works out and plays a lot of sports relies on Gus to loosen up sore muscles. My brother, my friends have all gone to Gus and rave about him. Gus is the best massage therapist I have ever had. I feel kind of cheated with all the others before I met Gus. Before each massage Gus will ask me if there are any areas that I would like him to focus on. It may sound small to some but to me I see it as Gus viewing me as a person and not money on legs. Best Massage therapist in the Antelope Valley! I'm in the Dental field for my profession. By the end of the week my neck and back have been strained.
