Took my 2 1/2 year old son here for his first haircut. Ryan, who is the owner took special care to talk him through everything and talk about what he was doing! He's a dad himself so did a great job. The buzzers are loud and it could be scary for a little person but with Ryan helping explain it made a great first experience! Will definitely be taking him back when he's ready for his next haircut! Most uneven haircut ever, by about an inch difference on one side to the other. Barber rushed along with electric trimmer to save himself time, but without listening to how I like my hair cut or paying close attention to symmetry. Covered it up by styling my hair with overly scented product so I didn't notice the asymmetry until washing my hair the next day. I did look cleaner cut for my job interview, but I definitely wish I had never stepped in. read more

This place is incredible! My husband and I are from Austin, which of course is super hip and trendy. We came to Springfield to visit family and my husband fell behind and wasn't able to get his hair cut before we left. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised to find a place like Rogue in Springfield! I absolutely love the redo of the old gas station, and the inside is super clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and there were even complimentary cocktails! My husband treated himself to the hot towel shave and loved it. And he was so pleased with the amazing job that the guy did on his hair! I think that for future trips, he will definitely be waiting until we get to SGF to get his haircut. We also thought the prices were completely reasonable for the experience that you are paying for. I didn't try anything, but I learned while there that they have a full service waxing studio, specializing in speed waxing, so I will be excited to try that out on our next visit. read more

I think they've been open for about six years. The space and decor are cool and comfortable, four chairs in the shop. Probably best to have an appointment, but they worked me in within an hour without one. It's a legit hipster barber shop...if you know, you know. Friendly banter around the room. Now, while I admired the other two haircuts being performed, I wasn't satisfied with mine (sorry, don't know my barber's name)...created a part that was too low on the side, was shaky on the fade aspect, and cut more than I had specified off the top. I will go back for the vibe and because of the other cuts I witnessed, but not the same barber. As always, be very specific with ur barber. read more

I want to be clear, Ryan (owner) is hands down the best. However, they have the worst receptionist ever. She was so rude to my wife that my favorite barber just lost us as well as all other clients of his that have heard about this last incident. The problem is that while trying to maintain a hipster vibe and seem exclusive, they end up falling short on the personal touches of kindness that is required for any small business owner. There is so much irony in this because make no mistake, they will act super polite...to your face; but it's just that typical poser hipster politeness, not actual human decency. So the main beef that led to me finally taking the time outta my super busy life to write this is two prong. 1 - They spoke in a "too rude to tolerate" way over the phone for my liking, I'm very chill... till I'm not. 2 - They took that hostile approach over the fact that we called to reschedule my appointment, only to get a busy signal 18 separate times before finally getting through to them. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my 10 year old son at Rogue Barber because he is very particular and has a ton of hair. The entire staff was super friendly. His Barber, Tyler, did a great haircut! I was more impressed by the way he treated my son with the same courtesy he would an adult. I'm certain Tyler has a client for life. read more

Been in a couple of times. The first time a blonde guy gave me a really good cut. He was friendly and professional. The guy behind him, however, was drunk and obnoxious. When I went back for my second visit I ended up with the obnoxious guy. This time he was even drunker. Kept taking shots during the cut and basically yelling at everyone. Apparently he is the owner. The cut was actually decent, but the experience was terrible. There were a couple other guys there who seemed to know what they were doing and also seemed to be sober. If I ever go back I will make sure to go to one of the other barbers. But I probably won't return. Maybe the owner should go to AA before work each day? I certainly hope he isn't driving himself home. read more

I looked like a Q-tip. That's when I found Jared at Rogue Barber. He was just about to go on lunch break when I walked in, and after a quick chat, he decided to stay and help me out. He gave me a thorough consultation and was meticulous and detailed during the entire hair cut. He asked me for feedback throughout, and took his craft very seriously. Everyone in the shop was friendly and professional. All this for $22, definitely extremely reasonable price considering the level of service and attentiveness from Jared. read more
