I know a few people who have got that wrong, and in an embarrassing public setting. Predictably, they sell shoes and footwear, with few exceptions. There's good customer service with student discount available, and most importantly, a good selection of shoes including the increasingly more popular Crocs and Ugg boots. It is a trendy place, and always busy. There are plenty of other places you can get shoes, and at a better price, but it is a good shop and worth a look. Especially if you have student discount, or if there's a sale on.

There is a reason this store is popular; it has great deals. Case in point: Italian-made knee-high leather boots for about 60 squids (i.e., under $100 with my exchange rate that day). P.S.: For those not in the know, "Schuh" is "shoe" auf Deutsch. It doesn't make sense to me why there's a German name for a shoe store in Scotland that sells Italian boots, but hey....to each his [United Colors of Benetton] own.

Shoes, shoes, shoes!…read more I have to admit, shoe-shopping is like my second-to-least favourite thing to do, but while persevering i like to pop in to Office once in awhile. For a small store it has a good selection, and good separation of men's and women's for the hectic who like to get in and out, or send their boyfriend off for his own without losing him! The stock seems to change quite quickly, so it's not the best place to try something on and then decide to come back after your next payday. Prices can be high, but it tends to be good quality shoemanship and their pumps and flats and sandshoes are very reasonably priced indeed. They also have a huge selection of decorated Converse, which you'd be hard pushed to find elsewhere. Top notch!

While this shop can get hectic, for every second customer they have a cheery, usually pretty, shop assistant eager to help. I've genuinely been very impressed with the service whenever I've been in this store, even on a busy weekend. The shoes and boots in Office aren't cheap but in my view they're reasonable because they're always of good quality and bang on trend.

However, if you're looking for a cheap pair of imitation shoes then it's actually alright! Selling fake Ugg's for little more than a tenner, and fake Converse for a pittance, if you're really skint and looking for shoes to serve a short term purpose it's alright. The shoes aren't the best quality but they last as long as Primark's ranges (and sometimes that can be surprisingly long). I once bought a pair of sassy red boots from Priceless that lasted me three years. My friend bought the same pair in grey from Schuh and her boots lasted her a fortnight before they let the rain in. It is the stuff of fairytales and probably only happens once, but for that reason alone I can't slate Priceless too much. Those shoes were my feet's best friends for many years and even though they were cheap designer material, I loved 'em all the same. May they now rest in peace after a long and fulfilling life.

There are basket type things full of shoes, and the overwhelming scent of plastic. There are plenty of staff here to help if you can attract their attention usually they are chatting to other staff and not paying attention to who is on the floor. Several times in the year they have sales on and this is probably the best time to stock up. Usually I'm offered wax or spray to polish my shoes from this store, but not this time they must have forgot to up sell. Overall they provide good foot wear for all seasons, at really cheap prices.

What is good is that you do not need to wait for the alternative foot to be sourced as the shoes are in pairs which makes the shopping experience a bit better than that of waiting for a shop assistant to become free to get the other shoe. The prices are really reasonable and most of the shoes are good quality. A good shoe shop with some nice shoes for the whole family.

I wouldn't normally do a review of a shop, yet the service I got in here was really good. Schuh have a wide variety of shoes - all on the slightly alternative side - which I love. You can get brands such as Vans, Converse and Skechers as well as my personal favourite - Irregular Choice. The staff are attentive, quick to say hello, and the young gentleman who served me today was, if anything, a bit too over-enthusiastic. They do mobile card payments so you don't have to pay a bill, and if you're happy giving out an email address, they'll email you the receipt which I think is a great idea! Lovely wee shop.

They have a great range, and some really fun shoes. I particularly like the Irregular Choice brand for fancy shoes, and on this visit I noticed that Schuh have started doing their own range of similarly styled, very fun and pretty shoes. But anyway, I was here for a pair of sensible and sturdy flat shoes, not some sequinned and be-ribboned fripperies. And they have sensible shoes too. They also have other brands I like like Rocket Dog and Blowfish. So although I'm not really into shoes, I really could fill my boots (sorry) with shoes here. Because they have such a big range, as a retail outlet, Schuh does feel a bit cramped - there are shoes everywhere you turn, and there's not really a free flow round the shop, so leave your big shoulder bag at home if you don't want to wreak havoc with the free standing displays. I bought a pair of Doc Marten Mary Janes. My boyfriend is going to hate them because they look like shoes I had for school in 1978 and that's not sexy. They're big and clumpy but I think they're quite cool, and anyway we're coming up for winter, so that's what I got. They didn't have my size in stock, but they have a good service where they will order them for you and if you don't like them you can return them with no quibble at all within a year. While you can order them to be delivered to your home (for free!) I had them ordered in to the shop, which is really convenient as if you don't like them, the return will take two minutes. The staff are really helpful. Maybe a bit too helpful in that within 2 minutes of being in the shop, you WILL be asked at least 4 times if you 'need any help'. And I get the distinct feeling that they WILL tell you that your choice of shoes is the best choice of shoes ever in the world even if you have the most hideous creations known to shoe-kind on your feet. They guy who I got today had some quite funny banter though, so I almost even enjoyed my shoe buying experience. I might even go back for some cute little Rocket Dog ankle boots I saw.
