It is right off the interstate. I mean, right off. You can see it from I-20. And they have a Jimmy John's. Maybe I should've led with that? Yes. They have a Jimmy John's at this brand new TA which also means it is brand new. I know, right? My favorite sandwich spot is now located two miles from Ruston, future site of Louisiana's very first Buc-ee's. This might be the greatest two mile stretch of road in the entire state. You go, Grambling! You go! And I am so there for it.

This place has some terribly nasty restrooms. I think from the looks of it, the restrooms have…read morebeen let go for too long - they need to be renovated. The sinks were stained with some sort of grime which is kind of ironic considering we are expected (along with the employees) to wash our hands before leaving the restroom. The store is large with a wide variety of items to purchase. They have everything from lottery, beer, wine & cigarettes to souvenirs, toys, food & a plethora of beverages. I only wanted coffee & it didn't look fresh either so I passed on that & got a Dr Pepper instead. The lady at the cash register was very nice but the other three were busy talking to her so it took a minute to check out. Overall, I would only come back if I were running out of gas on this same route.

My issue is mainly with the UHaul portion of the operation...originally had appointment to pick up a trailer at 12 noon...for some reason it gets pushed to 1 PM....arrive at location at approximately 12:05 PM...This is where I learn customer service is abysmal....The UHaul employee tells us tough luck you'll have to wait until 1 PM....even though it would have taken him all of 10 minutes to check out the trailer we had to wait 55 minutes to get it...I've dealt with UHaul locations all over the state of LA and until 11/28/12 had never been treated so shabbily...when the guy finally arrives he wants me to do all the heavy lifting etc...I looked him dead in the eye and said I waited 55 minutes for you to do your job so I'm simply gonna stand here and watch you do it! If it can be helped or I have a say, in the future I'll never use this UHaul location again.
