After a few days in the midst of a power outage that lasted a few hours, I discovered I wasn't able to use a personal hotspot for my IPad. As seniors, we prefer to use iPad rather than our iPhones to pay bills or send and read email.i tried to contact Telus but could not speak to a person and kept getting the Same message. Basically, old phones don't have the capacity for PH. Newer ones did, I had an iphone 12. At no point was I told the essential package I signed up for did not have PH. Telus would not help me. Brett at Mobile Klinic was amazing. He cancelled the contract and set me up with Koodo. He transferred everything and when we left we felt we got the best customer service around. Or you can buy from them directly. WIND's prices & included services are unbeatable. Even better, I used unlimited add-on roaming services in US, which costs me about 1/10 of what Rogers would charge. Had no problem with rumored coverage issue so far. Should have switched much earlier. Simply awesome! Update after a year: With more usage, I find out a few coverage issue spots, such as in NW Costco. Phone struggles in getting signal from Wind and/or Telus, the result is it can't call or text there. Can live with that. Just wait till out in the parking lot. But another tricky part made me lower my rating from 5 to 4: Wind charges more when using its own data if you don't have data plan, than using other carriers data when roaming. That doesn't make sense.

Texted with Francis that He had left the Samsung A5 in a paper note with rubber around it & plenty of info as to name & my cell number contact. Last month I find out store has been closed since Dec/2025 & in early April I spoke to a 2day employee who would call me back if he could find it as it was not in any place where He had looked inside the rear of that Wireless repair Solutions on 37St SW West of 17Ave SW at that time. He told me He would check with Manager at other store & the New owner. We'll, it's now April 24/2026 and have still received a text or gotten that phone call as to where my repaired Samsung A5 has disappeared to. The phone number displayed on the window of Wireless repair solution at 393 -17Ave SW of 403-727-2012 is not in service at this time. All I wanted was my cellphone repaired so I could get my pictures & it's memory from that phone. Got NO CELLPHONE & PAID $200. IN CASH UPFRONT & THEY CAN'T FIND MY PHONE AFTER THEY KEEP FLIPPING OWNERSHIP & NO WANTS TO OWN UP WHERE THAT REPAIRED A54 IS THEIR SYSTEM!!! Review made on April 24/2026. After several tries and waiting it would take a charge then all was ok for 2 or so more days then it started acting up again this time saying moisture disconnect cable. My cell has never been around water and these cells are to be somewhat water proof. I only charge my cell once one time at night by a wall plug not by a car charger that a cable could be setting on a floor in water. I purchased a wireless charger no problems. Once again after a day my cell works using the cable for 2 days only. Now a issue does not charge at all with the cable and says nothing about moisture. As this company hands your cell back after completing diagnostic test and shows all good there is no warranty covered. I was advised to contact Samsung for the ok for repairs . I wish I had just sent my cell to them in the 1st place perhaps it would have been fixed right! Now this store can not find my repair order? Interesting! I all ready spoke to the Toronto call center they had all the info and made a note I be in this Friday at the 37 street location "LINCOLN Park" for a diagnostic test on my cell. I was told 7 to 24 hrs for this and they would prove to me the results afterwards. At this point I pass and take my cell somewhere else as there is enough stress in today's would don't need a anymore.

Layout of store is clean and employees seem to genuinely want to help out you whenever you enter the store. Only two locations in Calgary and this was quite a bit larger (renovations occurred a few year back).
