I have never encountered a more nakedly mercenary practice in my life. The single biggest reason I will NEVER return, and the key reason they will lose my business forever, is the front desk staff, particularly the person named Lyanna. ​Condescending and Unprofessional Lyanna ​The person running the front desk, Lyanna, is an absolute nightmare. She is rude, dismissive, and clearly views every patient not as a person in need of care, but as a walking ATM. ​Lyanna is extremely condescending and utterly unprofessional. She speaks down to you, makes you feel like an inconvenience for daring to ask basic questions about their inflated bills, and has an appalling attitude that should disqualify her from ever working in a service-facing role. Dealing with her is so frustrating, it makes you want to cancel your appointment right there. ​The Overcharging Scam ​The main issue here is the shocking level of overcharging. They seem to invent procedures and fees just to inflate the bill, and their itemization is deliberately opaque. Adding to the general unprofessionalism, the fact that they don't even have sinks or running water in the procedure rooms should have been my first clue that corners are being cut everywhere but the billing department. ​Their billing practices are a total scam, especially for an In-Network provider. I was explicitly told my insurance covers 70% of the service, yet the patient amount they demanded from me was somehow higher than the portion the insurance company was responsible for! ​When I challenged the extortionate bill, the answer I got (likely from Lyanna herself) was an utterly ridiculous and unacceptable: "We don't know how much the insurance company is going to pay until they pay it." This is a blatant lie and a complete disregard for standard in-network fee schedules. It is a clear attempt to fleece the patient for the maximum amount before the insurance even processes the claim. ​If you want a dentist who cares about your teeth more than your wallet and who doesn't employ rude, unprofessional staff like Lyanna, run, don't walk, away from this place. You'll leave feeling fleeced, frustrated, and thoroughly insulted. Save yourself the headache and the exorbitant bill.

She made me feel very at ease. And the best part is that every chair has its own TV right in front of it. Perfect for people who would rather take their minds off of what is going on in their mouths. The open floor plan seems a little weird at first (the dental chairs are separated by furniture) but it soon became comfortable. The dentist went over my x-rays with me and he didn't even annoy me with the "your brushing your teeth too hard" lecture. Yup, I've heard that before and I appreciate the love! Now the front desk said its unethical to change codes now. But its not unethical to charge your patients based on your inability to do your job correctly? Why should I have to pay MORE? If they put the right code in the first time, my out of pocket would have been $125. I have already paid $360 so I should have gotten a refund. This billing office is a joke. Dont go here.

During my second visit to place the permanent crown, she used numbing gel to prepare me for the needle, but she was too rushed to allow enough time for the gel to properly numb the area. As a result, I experienced a great deal of pain and anxiety from the needle. Actually, the worst ever. If I were satisfied with the results of the crown, maybe it would have all been worth it. But to top off the bad experience, I am not at all happy with the crown. The size and shape of it is all wrong. It looks nothing like the tooth it replaced. If Dr. Braatz wasn't so rushed and had bothered to put a mirror in my hand to view the crown before cementing it into place - like every other dentist I've visited has done in the past - I would have rejected it and asked for a replacement. The temporary crown looked better than the permanent one. Now, $1000 later, I'm stuck with a tooth that I hate, and it shows in my smile. It's a permanent reminder of why I dislike going to the dentist. The only positives were that the office was clean and they were on time for both appointments. Otherwise if I could give zero stars I would.
