And several TV's showing something different. Rod's offer a pizza buffet with salad bar that's way better any other! We walked in & were promptly greeted and seated. Our waitress was friendly. We stated with fried Mac & cheese balls. The dipping sauce was amazing! We ordered the family meal for 2 that could have easily fed 3. The salad bar options were great. Our 10 inch pizza was excellent. The spaghetti & meatballs and garlic bread were delicious. My only complaint is that the menu says they offer carrot cake, but they do not. read more

Fantastic lunch! When I walked in, it smelled like an old school Pizza Hut from the 80's. It was dark and a little dated, but that's what a pizzeria should be IMO. The pizza was the best I've had in years. Perfect thin crust, excellent toppings, and the sauce was heavenly. I had the pizza buffet, which also offered salad and dessert, but I only had eyes for the pizza. The music was classic rock from the 60's-80's. Absolutely a fantastic lunch. The waitresses were very sweet and we ordered the feast for two. I think my only concern was there was just not much flavor in the spaghetti. Whenever we visit Hot Springs, we always come back to Rod's for their delicious pizza. The meat lovers, Razerbaccio, is our favorite. We decided to have Rod's for Christmas Eve. We ordered two extra large Godfather's. These two pizzas were nothing like what they used to be. I was worried we wouldn't have enough. They looked like something you'd get from any chain pizza joint but we paid over 80.00 for these. We've been eating at Rod's for over 40 years. My fiancé and I ate here per recommendation of our duck tour driver. I got the 15 inch godmother and he got the 10 inch god father. The only difference between the two, is one has peppers and the other doesn't. They were both very tasty! Just be warned the pizzas are extremely dense and VERY FILLING! They are deep dish to the extreme! Two people could eat on one 10 inch pizza, probably even three people! The 15 inch pizza was HUGE and so heavy! The ordering process and customer service were fine on this visit unlike some others posts. We ordered in store for take-out. They said it would be 35 minutes to be ready. It was closer to an hour before it was. We asked about the crust. She assured me it was made in house. It tasted like it came from the frozen section of the grocer, though. I've had better frozen pizzas. I can usually force a couple of slices down when I'm hungry. We tried a chicken pizza with tomatoes, basil, garlic, peppers, etc and it was delicious. The thin crust was a little tough but still good. We also ordered the smoked pepperoni that Rod's makes. It was also good. The pepperonis are small and could have had a few more on the pizza but it was still really good. Solid local pizza joint. It seems like every mid-sized town and up has their local pizza parlor. This is Hot Springs' version. The staff was very friendly and the pizza was good. Their crust is good an ingredients are above average. Very reasonable prices. Is it the beat pizza I've ever had? No. Though it's probably top five. This is more or less Chicago style pizza with a less deep dish. Definitely worth a look. read more

If you're a pizza lover, give this place a try. When I visited, it was on a week day so it wasn't busy at all. When I walked in, I went to the counter and was greeted by a woman. She informed me that I could either do buffet (pizza, salad, and drink) or order pizza. I was there for one thing and one thing only, The Godfather Pizza lol. I ordered a 23" because I wanted to take some home to my family (the slices were large so I could have probably gotten the 10"). The pizza was AMAZING! The pizza is packed with toppings and I mean packed!! I love how they cover the top with provolone cheese (drooling). Did I already say the pizza was AMAZING, lol?! The staff seemed nice, they came by twice to check on us. A younger guy brought my pizza to the table and was nice about getting me a to go box. I noticed that a couple of tables weren't bussed and that the same lady that seated us, was one of the ladies that checked on, cashed us out, and kept up with the buffet bar. We are tourists and were told this pizza is the best and worth the wait. After multiple attempts to call and constantly getting a busy signal (who gets busy signals anymore? Invest in a multi line phone, they don't cost that much) my husband drove down to the building to order. For ONE Godfather pizza, he was told 45 min to one hour wait. Fine, it's supposed to be worth it. Almost an hour and a half later, he checks on the status of our 1 pizza order, still another 35 minutes he's told. We stopped in to Rods pizza after going to see the lights at the Garden. They had a great atmosphere and the pizza was fantastic. They also had a small salad bar that hit the spot. The items on the salad bar were very fresh and clean. The staff kept refilling the buffet. We ordered two pizzas the grandmother and meat. Both were excellent. The service was very quick and courteous, yet they seemed very flustered at times. They may have been overwhelmed by the number of Christmas parties going on. I would recommend. read more
