    Godfather pizza

Went to Rods today. Food is amazing as ever. Great salad bar and wonderful service. Always a joy!

OMGosh the best pizza ever! The Godfather!!! So cheesy and loaded with toppings!!! The wait staff were so friendly and helpful!

Pizza, spaghetti with meatballs, and garlic bread.
    Ann B.

The waitresses were very sweet and we ordered the feast for two. I think my only concern was there was just not much flavor in the spaghetti. The meatballs were not fresh made according to the waitress after I mentioned they weren't great. And the pizza the crust was very thick with hardly any sauce or flavor. Go give it a try yourself. You may like it better than we did.

    Rods from the outside.
    Kerry E.

Worst pizza I've ever had. How can pizza be this bad. Sir charge on using a credit card.

Reallly good pizza. It was a lot quicker than they said it would be. Pizza is so much better than what the build outside looks like.

Not as great as it used to be. The godfather and godmother are still stellar options though.

The pies are huge and have eight slices. You can easily alter the pie. We had them add pepperoni to half of our pizza. We ate two slices each and brought home four slices. The server was very pleasant and was there to make us happy. The ambiance is simple, but the vibe is good...a happy loud, but not too loud. This is a Hot Springs icon and a must when you find yourself in Hot Springs. Highly recommend. Be sure to make a reservation; you must do so by phone.

This was our first time, I don't know when we'll be back to Hot Springs, but hopefully not our last. We ordered Spinach and Artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was great. The bread gave it a little something extra. It was only my wife and I so we split a Pizza and it couldn't have been better prepared! We saved just enough room for dessert and the Lemon Icebox Cake was a perfect treat on a warm summer day. The large glamour shot photos of women around the restaurant were unique and highly entertaining to us. It was a little dim, but that's just nitpicking. Overall 10 out of 10 would, and will, recommend every time!

I made fun of it when I read the sign as my father would eat Vienna sausages but this is not that, so good! The pizza is actually really good and it's Chicago traditional not Chicago pie which is thick through out. Had the long count and it was delicious. I added a side meatball to try which was ok, i found it too crumbly and dry but sauce was ok. Only thing didn't care for was the cheesesteak. I guess I had a mind fart and was thinking Philly cheesesteak which I wanted. This is an overstuffed pot roast style sandwich which is not the style I like. Lots of cheese and didn't notice the peppers or mushrooms. The au jus added didn't help the sandwich. The fries were ok the onion rings didn't have flavor. Not a fan of big fried rings. Still that dog though haha! Service was friendly and it's a busy place.

First off, the pizza was absolutely incredible. They call it Chicago-style, but honestly... I lived in Chicago for 14 years, and I can't think of many places there that beat this pizza. We ordered the KO Pizza and it was outrageously good. Perfect crust, loaded with flavor, and the kind of pizza that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy eating. The place was packed wall-to-wall, so service took a little while, but it was worth every second of the wait. Honestly, when a restaurant is this busy on a Sunday night before Memorial Day, that usually tells you everything you need to know. Also worth mentioning: I ordered a "small" side salad... which arrived in what appeared to be a family-sized serving bowl. My mom and I ended up splitting it because apparently Rocky's definition of "small" is "feed a softball team." Prices were shockingly reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. This place is a true Hot Springs institution right across from Oaklawn, and if you've never been, you absolutely need to go. It completely lives up to the nostalgia and hype. And a special shoutout to Jamie the bartender -- infectious smile, bobbing her head to the music while pouring drinks, and bringing such a fun, welcoming energy to the whole place. People like that are part of what makes restaurants memorable. Can't wait to come back.

It's the kind of place you could and would want to be a regular at if you lived nearby. I want to be a regular, and I live 500 miles away. But you can bet when I'm heading that way, I'm stopping in again. I had skipped lunch and was really hungry, but didn't want to get something real heavy either, and I though I had "sort of" done that. I was totaly wrong. Blue Crab Ravioli in an artichoke/spinache alfredo sauce, topped with toasted/roasted mozzarella... I know what you're thinking, cream sauce and cheese? How is that light you knucklehead? Well, I was thinking that ravioli, usually served with 4-6 pieces would be just drizzled in this topping. NOPE. Scalding hot cast iron skillet loaded with ravioli, in that heavy, cheese/cream sauce. But here's how good it was. I took half to go, and had 1/4 of that when I got home 2 days later (always carry a cooler bag kids...) Then I had the remainder for lunch one day. Best ravioli I've ever had, and I want to be Italian and have had a lot of pasta in my life. I sat at the bar, and when people sat down around me, we all started talking. It's that kind of place. It's also dark, dank, gritty, and it's character shows in every space. Did I mention the great tunes? Yep... music right up my alley. Food, drinks, music, vibes... Yeah, 10 - 10 would go back again. And again.

Had to continuously interrupt the bartender talking with their friend at the bar. 2.) a DOG was behind the bar. Never seen that before. A public place. No pets allowed. And yet, for the 2nd day in a row a dog is running free. Cute and fluffy! But not the place. 3.) made a very specific request, and would've been fine if the answer was no but the bartender said very enthusiastically "SURE!" And then once the bill arrived I was charged double. I explained the situation "oh, my bad, I misheard you and charged you for 2." That was it. So, it's your mistake for not paying attention because your friend is sitting at the bar but now it's my problem? I think not. To make matters worse? I went to pay using the QR code printed on the receipt and she immediately states "sorry, that doesn't work!" I tried it anyways. It worked! Do not recommend. Lots of cool spots, you can skip this one.

So we had to-go boxes so we can each have leftovers for the week ahead. Their marinara sauce I've had since living in Arkansas. Oh! By the way, we didn't order adult beverages (only water) and walked away after paying only $26.88 before tip. I think it was very reasonable and the best food in the area so far. It seems that most customers stop and pick up orders to-go here, which is perfectly fine. It left us plenty of room for the 20+ of us to sit and dine. If I had one thing to say about improving service it's that they were understaffed but in rural, western Arkansas, I think you can expect something like that. My husband is a big sports fan and loves pizza while watching a game, so we've been trying out different spots since we don't get delivery in our area. We found Molly's and gave it a shot. My husband gave the pizza a thumbs up--he said it was tasty, though a bit on the pricey side. As someone who's not into pizza, I ordered the spinach salad. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. It was labeled as a "family size" but honestly wouldn't feed two people as a side. It was mostly spinach with about one chopped egg and some bacon bits--for around \$10.19 If you're looking for a hearty salad in the Village, I'd recommend trying some other local options instead.
