I posted a quote earlier and would like to change it. They do good work but seems there's not good communication between the father, who does much of the work, and the son, who has direct contact with the customers. The son is very nice and tries his best but doesn't t always take proper notes or communicate the customer's requests with the upholsterers, so there are errors. I experienced that with the work they did for me. I would suggest you be very specific with them; have them write everything you want down on their order form and check the merchandise prior to leaving their shop. read more

Based only on the Yelp reviews, we took 2 15 year old easy chair cushions to Rodriquez Upholstery for re-stuffing. We were given various options including 3 or 4 different foam densities or the option to replace the foam/down insert that the cushions were originally stuffed with. They fully explained the differences in the cost and comfort factors. We decided it wasn't worth the more expensive down option and they helped us select an appropriate foam density. They did have to order the foam but they had the cushions ready in just 3 days! They expertly re-stuffed the cushions and treated them so that they are wrinkle free and look better than they did when we first ordered these custom chairs. Each cushion was less than $100. We were very pleased with their expertise and communication and would highly recommend them!! read more

These guys are the best! Pickup and delivery along with fast service. We bought new chairs for our dining room table. The chairs were not padded enough in the cushions which made us feel very small when at the table. Return to the store became a hassle and slow. The cushions are awesome now. Miguel and his crew are top notch. Had an unfortunate situation, in which my puppy had chewed up and ripped a side of my parents sofa. After doing research I went with Rodriguez Upholstery due to their quick response and quote of a more than fair price. Miguel helped me pick the perfect fabric to fix the sofa and quickly ordered it. While waiting for UPS to deliver it another unexpected twist happened during the process, where we needed the sofa fixed immediately. With it being Christmas Eve and me needing the sofa done the day after Christmas, I thought I was asking for you way too much, but not for these guys! They gave me the peace of mind by messaging me on Christmas Eve that they would have it done. I tried these guys out on a chair and they went above and beyond my expectations. I asked them to turn the upholstery so the fabric ran a different way and there were no questions asked and they informed me that it would take more material, which I expected so that way there were no surprises. I waited 5 months to write a review to make sure the stitching and rewrapping of the seat cushion wore well and all is great. They have already done another chair and ottoman of mine. I ordered the fabric through them and the price was GREAT. Don't hesitate to take there advise on fabric or anything related. They know what they're talking about. I asked how long it would take because this was the chair I use daily and said they would get back to me. Got back to me in a hour and said it could be done in 2 days. WOW. I didn't pursue it because it wouldn't be fair to other customers who waited in line for their pieces to be finished. Cat had virtually destroyed leather couch and loveseat...We have high quality paintings and decorator items in the room so we asked Michael if he could remove just the seat section of the couch and replace with a microfiber type of material which would match up perfectly with a large original "Yellow Submarine" painting. Michael worked with us to find the very best color, between an orange and a yellow and did a fantastic job on the project. He took two days and now our eclectic room is perfect! He gave us the leather seats back and explained how they easily could be refurbished and the scratches removed if we ever wanted to redo our interior design. You drive up to this place and it's in an older part of Indio, but don't let that fool you. Sr.Rodriguez is an old master from Mexico and has taught his son Michael everything he knows. We have referred two friends to them and they are thrilled at how they can take a virtual throwaway piece of furniture and make it look perfect...all for a very reasonable price. It's been many years since I had had anything upholstered so I was quite shocked by the quote but the quote I got from another company was even higher.
