We recently contracted Jose at DC Custom Upholstery to recover our two barrel chairs. We are very happy with the result. Jose admitted his dad did both chairs so a shout out to him! The chairs look new. The craftsmanship is unmatched. Better than the original. Jose and his dad pick up and deliver every piece. I suggest you give these guys an opportunity if you need upholstery services. read more

DC Custom Upholstery - Two barrel chairs - Furniture Reupholstery Near Me - Palm Springs, California

The worst. They lie and give you false information and never deliver. I waited for weeks only to experience having to pick back up my merchandise order. Buyer beware. Clearly Carlos should be running his shop instead of whining on Yelp, FB and Instagram, read more

I needed a quick repair to a dining chair. Juan was absolutely wonderful. It didn't seem to matter that it was probably not worth his while. He repaired and delivered the chair back good as new. I can't speak highly enough about the customer service and attention to detail! Highly recommended. FIVE STARS read more

I had some vintage 1940s fabric I wanted to turn into a couple throw pillows. So I met with one member of their team to go over exactly how to lay out the large repeating pattern, and he used tape to mark where to make the cuts. I went and bought additional fabric for the backs, then returned to their shop with everything they needed to make the pillow covers and gave them to a different employee. When they were done, they didn't follow my directions at all. The two team members did not communicate with each other. As a result, my family heirloom vintage fabric was destroyed. They disregarded the taped pattern layout that we had carefully measured and instead, cut straight through the main images of the pattern. I nearly wept. (Actually, I did, a little.) I was all ready to support a local family-run enterprise. But since the family members involved apparently never spoke with each other about my project's design requirements, irreparable harm was done to my property. I asked them to disassemble what they'd done, and I did not pay them for their work. I cannot recommend DC Custom Upholstery. read more

Jose and his team used some fabric i sourced to re-cover my outdoor cushions. They did a great job and completed the project really quick. Would highly recommend read more

Dropped of this pair of stools with vintage bark cloth fabric and asked if the family at DC Custom could have them back in about 10 days. They called 2 days later and said that they were done. Another fantastic job. We had them recover my mother's Milo Baughman chair from 1968. We brought them the Knoll fabric and they did an outstanding job. Very reasonably priced for the quality work they do. Highly recommend! read more

Be aware that this business' service quality has deteriorated. I'm a previous client. So on November 8, I went in to order four new outdoor cushions. The needed fabric was confirmed as being available so I put my 50% down. They told me the cushions would be available Jan/Feb. Seemed like four months was a long time, but I said OK. When March came around with no contact from the business, I called to see what was up. Proprietor was confused about which order was mine even though I had the order number to give him. After it was clear that he didn't know, he said he'd have to call me back. When he did call back, he said the cushions hadn't been made yet. Four months and they hadn't gotten around to my small project!! He blamed it on someone else at their business. They lost me as a customer and you all should know that this place is so disorganized that they can't keep orders straight or produce product as promised or even call to advise that they will not be able to supply as promised. This was not a fabric availability problem. It was business disorganization. read more

My Brown Jordan sunshade needed new Sunbrella fabric after 11 years with the current fabric. Jose at DC Custom Upholstery gave me a quote based upon a photo, and had the Sunbrella fabric samples in his shop. He promptly came to the house to disassemble and take it away (it wouldn't fit in any SUV). He delivered and re-assembled it this morning, having done an absolutely beautiful job. I had priced new sunshades, but the only ones available were either wildly expensive, smaller scale, and/or very cheaply made. The original Brown Jordan product is really investment-grade outdoor furniture. If yours needs restoration, contact Jose! read more

Jose came by to pick up the chairs and was efficient and punctual. It seemed odd that there wasn't any paperwork and I briefly thought that might be the end of my chairs. However, all went well and I received the bid and invoice via email. The chairs came back a couple of weeks later before the promised date. My poodles chewed the corners of my leather cushions on my sofa. Knowing I couldn't match the leather, I decided to upholster the cushions with a contrasting patterned fabric.
