The owner of this place is very hard to work with. Bad attitude, rude, uncooperative. He speaks no English and is easily flustered. Dense. He was yelling at his daughter on the phone, who was trying to interpret for me. I also found him inconsiderate of my time, with him wanting me to come to his shop to explain (for the third time) what I wanted, which was actually a simple job, only for him to tell me to come back again tomorrow because he was too busy for me to explain the job to him (again). No Call, No Response NOTHING. i finally called them myself and they apologized and said they will get on it Immediately.. i received a call within two day saying: GOOD NEWS your stool will be ready in two day come by Friday to pick them up. When I arrived today I found out the never ordered the materials, they never stated the repairs .. they are the most Dysfunctional company I've ever come across.. I had a lumbar support and seat cushion that were seperate pieces which I wanted sewed together into one piece. Use it for my 3 wheeled motorcycle to make seat more comfortable on long rides. This business was great!! We needed too update our RV as the leather furniture had gotten old and cracked on the seats. We came here, looked at samples, got a quote and away we went. They were spot on with the delivery of our material and the time it would take to complete our job. At the end they admitted that the valance detail was more time consuming than they had quoted for. I am an interior designer doing a house in The Vintage so thought I'd give this shop a try. I was terribly wrong in giving him furniture to reupholster. He's a hot head and after misplacing one sofa for a day...and forgetting to put the rear skirt on, he demanded I come get the rest of pieces within a twenty four hour period or he would throw them out. When I went to pick them up in 105 degree heat, half of them were stripped and no help was offered to load them..unbelievable! read more

I have a 1995 Chevy S 10 truck that had a rip in the driver's seat I called the dealership to see if they could match the seat upholstery and they said they had no idea since the truck was 25 years old so I decided to go on the Internet and see if I could find a match online. I was unable to find anything I went to one car Upholstery shop as I was going to do the entire two seats and carpet because I could not find anything that matched and was quoted $2500. I then searched the Internet for Car upholstery shops that could repair my seat and came across P & M Upholstery in Indio. I took my truck in and asked if they had a material that could match and to my surprise, they came out with the material it was almost exactly a match. I asked them how much it would cost to repair the seat and was quoted $180. I must say at that point I was ecstatic. I also asked if they could match the stitching and they said no problem. I asked when they could do the job and they said tomorrow and asked how long it would take. They said it would take one day. That same day I returned and dropped the truck off. I came back to pick it up the next day. When I picked it up, I was astonished at the quality and the perfect workmanship of matching the passenger seat. I cannot say enough about how professional and how wonderful a job they did on my truck. We took our mustang in for front and back seats + new convertible top. They quoted a price and then said it would be an additional $200.00 for the mustang logo as they had to send it out to get done. We went to check on the car and they were working on the logo while we were there. DID NOT HAVE TO SEND OUT - WHY LIE? The top was installed and then P & M stated that did not include liner! WHAT?? Top was not aligned correctly and when we called back they stated that we could bring the car back and they would rip the top off and give us our money back! Very tempted to do that!!!! Excellent quality of work! I was especially pleased with the level of customer service provided. Multiple upholstery shops did not want to help me order fabric and several told me to go to LA for fabric. P&M brought out multiple books with samples, helped filter out the colors I didn't want so I could focus on swatches that were relevant to me. They called the vendor for my desired fabric, and ordered it for me on the spot. All my accent pillows are beautifully crafted, and my dining room chairs are beautiful!! read more

Had a problem with my driver side seat on my corvette. Came undone. Went to dealer and of course they said needed a whole new seat cover....$900. Just for the cover. Told them i'd look elsewhere. Went to P&M ... straight pros. He looked at it and said 1 day, $150. Dropped it off late, returned next day same time, fixed. Looked like it originally did. To my surprise he said it's only$145, $5 less than he originally quoted me. I told him we agreed on $150, I'll pay you the $150. Told me if it undid itself to bring it back he'd fix it for free. The pattern I chose was no longer available but he was able to find somerhing similar. I actually like this better. He set up an appointment and was very prompt. He calls before coming out. Took my stock 2018 Yamaha MT 07 motorcycle seat in due to it being extremely uncomfortable. They recommend a gel insert for more comfort. Just got it back and seat is 100 times more comfortable. Seat doesn't even look altered either. Wish I would have found them 2 years ago. read more

I can not express how happy and appreciative of the work done by this group. My first visit to P&M was to have a new valance made for my golf cart. I met the owners and a woundeful young employee (Francisco) he is a very knowledge, patient and dedicated to customer service. The price was very fair. I was so happy when I picked it up what a great job. I asked Francisco to look at pictures of a leather coach that was completely worn out and as it turned out two parts of the frame were broken. He quoted a price to completely re-upholster the coach and replace all the cushion stuffing. They fixed the frame worked hard to get an almost (99%) identical match to the original fourteen year old coach. The price was extremely fair and was ready for pick two days earlier than agreed. They definitely went the extra mile. The end result ? FROM COMPLETELY WORN TO BRAND NEW. If I could give them TEN STARS I WOULD. read more
