I dropped my shoes off on Thursday paid in full. He said for me to pick the shoes up on Saturday at noon so I arrived thirty minutes early and my shoes was not ready. He asked me to wait so I did...come to find out he did NOT REPAIR my shoes only because he could not put the studs on the bottom of heels...Ugh so he couldn't just tell me that before he drilled the bottom of my heels? I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to believe that the bad reviews were outdated. But seriously, this service is TERRIBLE. The store looks like a hoarder's living room with memorabilia and knick-knacks from the 80s. The pricing is on the high side and he demands cash up front. When I went to pick up my shoes they were in a ripped, used Kroger's plastic bag with the heels poking out the sides. The quality of the work was so sloppy that I'm throwing away one of the pairs. And he had the nerve to charge me a $5 "storage fee" for the shoes being there over 30 days. read more

One word - Garbage. Slow, unprofessional and disgrace to the craft. Brought shoes in for just a heel repair. Came to pick them up and after having him look for the shoes for over 30 minutes its found the repairs were not done. He then tries to rush repair, but doesn't have the correct color. So what does he do, he starts to paint my $100 shoes [the WRONG color] before asking if this was acceptable. Then when I pull a tazmanian devil move, he wants to give attitude. Had to argue for a refund, which he did not give. But I called the bank and took care of that. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER take ANYTHING there for repair. I had a similar experience to Jamie C. When I went to pick up my shoes a week after I had dropped them off, he couldn't find them. After a 10 or 15 minute search, he found my shoes but they were never repaired. He told me to come back at a later time to pick them up, and he never apologized for this. I would not recommend this place to others. read more

Lousy service!! First time called and said shoes would be ready but they weren't. Had to wait for him to find and fix. 2nd time left a pair for over a week, called ahead, was told they were done. When I arrived took 20 minutes for him to find them and nothing had been done. Took them back to look for someone else to repair. Won't be a 3rd time! read more

I wish I had read these reviews before I took my shoes here. He will tell you when shoes will be done but once you get there to pick them up, they are not done and he can't find them. What a mess AND he has a bad attitude. Please do not waste your time people. Trust me you will be highly disappointed. read more

Took a pair of boots there and was told they would be ready in a week. returned and he couldn't find them for 15-20 minutes. Was told by the end of week, called that time and he said he was waiting on his material to be shipped but it should be another week. This continued for almost 3 months. When I went to get them to take to another shop, again it took him about 30 minutes to find the boots, which by the way were red. It's amazing he can find anything in his shop, there is no order there even with your numbered ticket. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere. read more

Regardless of all the negative reviews...i had a positive experience..I was very pleased with the results, after 2 other local Shoe repair shops, didnt even attempt to try,...Mr. Rodgers didnt flinch at the simple challenge & He got the job done. I just so happen to have a quick turn around time ( BECAUSE IT WAS JUST THAT SIMPLE!). Im sorry some of yall had negative experiences...but its a reason he's still in Business after 20+ years....Thanks again Mr. Rodgers..keep up the good work. read more

I would NEVER recommend this place! If you want your stuff in worse shape than when you dropped it off take it here. If you want to pay a lot of money and get your stuff back and have it break soon after take it here. He s cash only and will change his price at the blink of an eye. I took a high end leather purse to get the straps fixed and he said it would take a week when I called it was another week. When I called again it was going to be another week. When I finally got my purse back three weeks later I was thrilled. Got it home and realized the strap was sewn on backwards. There was a silver buckle that should be showing. Hello, pay attention to detail buddy, granted I should have paid attention to but I was so excited to have it back I didn't. So back up to the store I go and when I got there he refused to fix it while I was there he said "he was busy" and I needed to leave it. When I got it back the 2nd time he had glue and black sticky stuff all over the bag. When I asked him about it he said he didn't do it. WTF? A couple weeks later the strap broke again. So back to the store I go for the 3rd time. At this point I'm done. He's not good, out of the way, terrible customer service and can't fix a purse strap, isn't this his livelihood? So I showed him where the strap broke and he asked how much stuff did I have in there? He said leather straps just don't come unstitched. I'll be the first to tell you they do if they were NEVER sewn. Yep, you heard me right I left my purse there for three weeks and where he said he sewed it there were no stitch marks and no rips where it was supposed to be sewn. This time there was NO way I was leaving my purse and all I wanted was my money back. I'm not paying for a service I didn't receive. When I requested my money he said no he'll fix it just leave it. I said no, I want my money and he said NO leave it my leather s on there I'll fix it, people make mistakes. I understand people make mistakes but come on this is ridiculous. I insisted on getting my money back and he said how much did I pay. When I told him $20 he said I would not charge that much for one strap when I told him he fixed 4 but I've been back 2 other times he said no way he's not giving me my money back. After I stated again I wanted my money back he stared me down and then started to scream at me and eventually gave me $5 back right out of his wallet. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF. Be wary of places that don't have prices posted, take cash only and can't guarantee when your belonging will be ready. He's very expensive for crappy craftsmanship and terrible customer service! read more

This place is terrible. I brought my shoe in on a Friday to have the leather either glued or sewn to the sole and should have been an easy job. I was asked to leave the shoe and return Saturday to pick up the repaired shoe. I returned Saturday and it took him 15 minutes to find the shoe and when he did the shoe wasn't started on. So I was asked to return at 4pm and I said ok. I called at four to check on the repair and was asked to come Monday and pick up the shoe because the glue had to set overnight. I came in Monday and once again it took 15 minutes to find the shoe and when it was given to me it had glue all over the shoe and some off color brown shoe polish on it to try and disguise the fact that it was a sloppy and unprofessional job. I asked him to try and clean up some of the glue and polish and after waiting an additional 15 minutes he put the shoe on the counter, said "ITS READY" and walked to the back of the shop. The shoe still looked terrible and I will never give this guy my business again. My advice... PLEASE SHOP ELSEWHERE. read more
