They don't make you feel bad for not flossing, they are gentle, and they know your name. Dr. Rubin has the softest touch too! I got my mercury fillings removed and it was enjoyable! I don't feel shame going to the dentist anymore. The office has a very alternative take on dental care so you know you're in good hands.

Dr. Rubin was by far the only dentist I had ever truly adored and who I felt most genuinely cared…read morefor at the time that I saw him. I first saw him because I was looking for a holistic, mercury-free dentist. I had problems from poorly-done fillings from my previous dentist, and he did his absolute best to fix the damage (and further decay) that had been done as a result of them. Both him and his hygentists were friendly and warm, and they really made me feel at ease, which is a big thing for me with my anxiety involving needles in my mouth! I never had a bad visit - even the ones where filling and drilling were involved. I was relieved when I found out they offer CareCredit because I was without dental insurance and fixing all those poor fillings really added up. Being able to make payments really saved me financially. I am so, so sad I had to move away from him because at the time of this writing I have not found any dentist that matches his caliber! If you're in the Seattle area I would definitely recommend seeing him.

I have been a patient in Dr Maruhashi's clinic for 4-5 years…read more 1. On my first visit to the clinic, I was told to do a x-ray exam. When I asked if my insurance will cover, the answer was yes. But it turned out to be false. And I have to pay for it. I would expect they admit their mistake. I don't think that $50 is a big deal for them. 2. I have a lot of pain when my teeth was having infection and the nerve was dying. I called on Thu and was told that clinic is closed on Friday. But I was not told that in such case I can schedule urgent care on Sat. So I have to bear the pain for another 3 days till Monday. 3. A late cancellation of follow up appt for the root canal and have to reschedule. This is fine. But when I arrived on time for the rescheduled appt, I had to wait for almost an hour. It will be great if they can just tell me they are running behind and I can arrive late instead of sitting and waiting. I have work to do. From my experience, I feel I am not valued as a patient and the staffs do not take responsibility for their own mistakes.

Patients should not be forced to get X-rays in order to get their teeth cleaned. They refuse to accept emailed X-rays from other dentist offices claiming they "don't transfer well." Here…read moreare the bottom line points you should know: 1) I have seen a number of great dentists over my lifetime, and had a good amount of work done, and Dr. Wayman is without question the BEST dentist I have (or likely will ever) see. I am a physician myself and have high standards. When I leave Seattle, I know I won't be able to find a clone. 2) His technical expertise is outstanding. He is a perfectionist, which is a highly desirable quality in any medical professional I see! 3) He will not break the bank. His charges are reasonable and he will attempt to do his work in a cost-effective (but excellent) manner. 4) He is obsessive. My first visit was an hour an a half, and most of the time was spent with him inspecting my teeth in detail (see #2) 5) Staff are all incredibly personable, helpful, and competent. Most of them have worked with him for many years, which is also telling. 6) His hygienist, Deb, is equally thorough, compulsive, and personable. You will never have a dental cleaning that is as deep and extensive, which is wonderful because it optimally prevents gum and tooth disease. I'm confident there's more I could say, but for God's sake, if the above has not persuaded you to see him then I don't know what possibly would. :)
