Looks like they did some work. Quiet, clean, and nice staff. Can't complain for a road side motel.

I'm not saying all, but there's only one receptionist named Trena whom I felt was more empathetic in my situation and was the only one who made us feel welcome and seemed happy to help. When I first arrived, I was struggling to unload everything out of the car since I had my baby in a stroller and they were able to assist me. All other members made it feel like we were bothering them when we are asking for help. We are a military family and we stayed here for a long-term maybe for over two weeks while waiting for our apartment to be available. We have a newborn and cats. They have so much red tape tapes and house rules when it comes to housekeeping. They keep on saying that it's California law that guests must stay out during housekeeping, however when I looked it up I cannot find any law saying that guests must stay out when they're doing housekeeping. One of their house rules is that we cannot stay at all inside the room while their housekeeping second is that we have to keep the cats in the kennel when they are housekeeping. Having to put the cats in the kennel and moving outside the lobby with a newborn every other day is not an easy job. I tried to compromise and put the cats inside the bathroom while they clean the main area, but they still won't allow or accept that compromise. They're just not understanding at all with certain people's situation. When it comes to following rules, they're pretty black and white and unwilling to help customers out.

They had 2 kinds of waffle batter (malted vanilla and "sparkling strawberry" as a nod to Paris Hilton -that's hot ) The medium size pool and fitness centers looked okay, but I didn't have time to try them out. Now this wasn't the staff's fault but the walls are so thin and we had some loud neighbors for some reason opening and closing their door @ 6 am on a Sunday morning not exaggerating, probably 30 times in a row. In quick succession. Not people coming in and out just rapid-fire open-close open-close. I cannot fathom why anyone would do that but it was highly disruptive. So I took away a star for the thinness of the walls. The view from our room was just the parking lot so nothing special.

There was an empty ziploc bag under the desk (didn't take a pic). Long, black strand of hair on top of one of the towels in the bathroom (didn't take a pic), and another on the tub. But those weren't too big a deal until I saw a bug crawling on the bathroom wall. It looked like a small cockroach to me. Or maybe a carpet beetle? I don't know but...eew. Just glad it wasn't on the bed! Otherwise, location is great being near the freeway and a shopping center with restaurants and a Starbucks. Would I stay here again? Only if I absolutely had no other options. Two stars: 1 for location and 1 for the guy at the front desk.

I needed a place to stay for a last minute overnight in the area. I normally stay a little further west as my actual work has me in Pleasanton. I think I will be staying here going forward. First, they allow the use of digital check-in and the use of a digital key. More and more, Hilton hotels are refusing to allow either. In fact, the number of properties that require in-person check-in and the presentation of a hard credit card continue to go up. Not at this property. They indicate that check-in is 4pm, but they released the key to me at about 2:30. Next, it feels like a small boutique hotel. The DoubleTree brand is synonymous with larger, upscale amenities. While this property definitely had the amenities, it's smaller than other properties in the brand. That made it feel quaint. The only thing I was unhappy with was the lack of a microwave in the room. The business traveler brands such as Garden Inn and Hampton Inn both have them in the room and this property should too. Anyway...if you're staying in the area, you owe it to yourself to at least consider this property.

After going to the "ready" room, it was clearly not ready as they were still cleaning it and was also the wrong room even though the front desk had confirmed it was correct. The second room, phone was broken, fridge not cool. Tv doesn't work. And when I asked about the crib, they said "sorry we had some but they were maybe stolen so we don't have any anymore..." Like what?! So I'm off to buy a crib for the night and you should go somewhere else. Btw. The elevator certificate has been expired for over a year and it definitely makes weird sounds.

Yelp for the win! I…read morefound this place due to the Yelp reviews. Looking for a quick sister getaway in our backyard and the reviews looked so good on this place so decided to book right away. The price was very good considering how close it was to the getaway weekend and I was very happy with said price. Get to the resort and checked-in because we had also made spa reservations (separate review) and we were greeted by such warm, friendly staff. They walked us to the spa. Once done with the spa, it was earlier than check-in and we asked if we could leave our baggage and change (we were going wine tasting) and staff was so accommodating that they were actually able to get us into our room early! They didn't have to do this and it was so appreciated that they went beyond to make us feel welcome. Room was nice! Clean and spacious. I loved that you could text them for anything you needed at all. We got back in time to use the hot tub and enjoy their really happy, happy hour. We went back to the room to relax and watch tv and we were able to ask for a cold bottle of wine to be sent up to the room. The next day for breakfast - we went down after we got ready and the food was served HOT and it was very good and filling. We absolutely loved this place, the hospitality, the environment and we are so happy that we found this place based on yelper reviews!

The room itself was comfortable and I had a great experience during my stay. My only initial concern was that the hallways were quite dark and dimly lit. When I first arrived and was walking to my room, it made me feel a little uneasy, but once I got into the room, everything was great. The one area I think could be improved is the breakfast. I paid an additional $20 to include breakfast with my stay. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was told that I could either choose the continental breakfast or select one dish from the menu. I was also told that the continental option did not include any hot food. I chose the continental breakfast, but I was surprised to find that there was essentially no protein option at all. It was mostly carbohydrates. Even something simple like a boiled or scrambled egg would have made the breakfast feel much more balanced and complete. For a $20 breakfast add-on, I actually think it would be better not to make guests choose between a continental breakfast and one hot dish. Including a simple protein such as eggs with the continental breakfast would make a big difference and provide much better value. Other than the breakfast and the dark hallways, I really enjoyed my stay. The cleanliness and comfort of the room were excellent, and with a few small improvements, the overall experience could be even better.

Easy walking distance to Chevron gas station for water and food items, and Jack in the Box. The breakfast was good- eggs, potatoes, waffle maker, bread/bagels, muffins. The room was spacious with 2 comfy queen beds. I really enjoyed having a kitchenette in the room with plates, utensils, pots, a pan, etc. We went to Safeway to purchase items to cook on the stove or in the microwave, and they were easy to use. The ladies at the front desk were nice at check in and were helpful with getting what I needed for laundry. The laundry room was easy to use as well- $2.75 for the washer, $2.75 for the dryer, and 1.65 to purchase laundry detergent from the front desk. I loved this convenience as well to not pack as much. Parking was easy and accessible. Once we were settled, our room was clean and spacious, located on the third floor away from the elevator, which kept things quiet. Check-in was quick and straightforward, and the front desk hostess was genuinely kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, the issues started right away. The first room we were given had a strong curry smell, and we had to request a different room. While they did move us without much hassle, that's something that should have been caught beforehand. The bathroom in the new room felt old and worn, with dated fixtures that need updating. The shower was the biggest letdown--water pressure was extremely weak, the pipes rattled loudly, and the shower head made an odd high-pitched "singing" noise the entire time. Breakfast downstairs wasn't worth it, and the coffee was just as disappointing. We ended up heading out to a local breakfast spot instead. Overall, the hotel benefits from its location and room size, but it clearly needs upgrades and better attention to maintenance. It's fine if you only need a basic place to sleep, but there are better options out there for the price.
