I've been a Hilton loyalist for well over 20-years. While I try not to include bias, I'm sure I'm biased. Well, I have a new favorite Hilton Property in the Livermore area. I needed a place to stay for a last minute overnight in the area. I normally stay a little further west as my actual work has me in Pleasanton. I think I will be staying here going forward. First, they allow the use of digital check-in and the use of a digital key. More and more, Hilton hotels are refusing to allow either. In fact, the number of properties that require in-person check-in and the presentation of a hard credit card continue to go up. Not at this property. They indicate that check-in is 4pm, but they released the key to me at about 2:30. Next, it feels like a small boutique hotel. The DoubleTree brand is synonymous with larger, upscale amenities. While this property definitely had the amenities, it's smaller than other properties in the brand. That made it feel quaint. The only thing I was unhappy with was the lack of a microwave in the room. The business traveler brands such as Garden Inn and Hampton Inn both have them in the room and this property should too. Anyway...if you're staying in the area, you owe it to yourself to at least consider this property. read more

Choose a different hotel. We booked two rooms here and requested a crib. When we arrived after check in time, was told one room wouldn't be ready until 5 but the other room was ready. After going to the "ready" room, it was clearly not ready as they were still cleaning it and was also the wrong room even though the front desk had confirmed it was correct. The second room, phone was broken, fridge not cool. Tv doesn't work. And when I asked about the crib, they said "sorry we had some but they were maybe stolen so we don't have any anymore..." Like what?! So I'm off to buy a crib for the night and you should go somewhere else. Btw. The elevator certificate has been expired for over a year and it definitely makes weird sounds. read more

I only come for the cookies. Kidding But I stay here often when I visit my hometown. And the rooms are always clean, staffs always nice and whatever I need they always have it. Great location, no complaints ! read more

I cannot recommend this establishment. The elevator felt quite unsafe. My entire floor had an unpleasant odor reminiscent of a dirty diaper. Only one ice machine is operational on the third floor. The rooms don't have microwaves, and when I inquired with the staff member if she could fill my cup with ice at the bar, she directed me to the third floor. Quite disappointing. read more

I booked this place for a one week stay then my job extended my stay so I added a week to my stay. I had to add a day between my stay because you just can't add a Saturday to you Friday check out... ok so I paid for an extra Friday then I was locked out because my card expired on Friday then also on Saturday so I had to again go down to the front desk to get them redone. Then housekeeping started banging on my door telling me to get out and that I'm passed checkout. I told her that I am current on my stay and she insisted on me getting out. Again had to go to the front desk to straighten things out. The communication just was not there. I contemplated filing a complaint with Hilton about the situation. read more

Very clean and conveniently located. Our room setup was a bit odd. The "sofa" was hard and uncomfortable in addition to the odd placement of the two stationery pillows. The "desk" was an oblong table nestled under the bureau counter which required you to pull it out for use making it awkward. There's a large open space in the corner as if a chair should possibly be there. Also our bath mat was visibly threadbare. Also there wasn't a luggage rack to lay your suitcase. Wouldn't be my top pick to stay in the future. read more

Experience here was great!!!! We celebrated our 32nd HS Reunion at their event center. The staff was awesome (Rob & Harbert) Food of choice was awesome very delicious. We also stayed here, rooms ware clean, and are newly renovated. Thanks Lana for all your help. read more

Odd location but this Hilton property does the trick if you're passing through and need a spot to stay for a night. No excitement or anything entertaining on site, but the room amenities offers all the basics. Free overnight parking. Front desk staff were sweet which is not always the case for Hilton properties. Didn't get a chance to try food at the onsite restaurant but the menu looked good. Also, there isn't a business center at this Doubletree which I thought was also unusual (computers, printer, etc.). The Hiltons should drive to this property and personally take down the Doubletree sign. This hotel does not meet DoubleTree standards. At least not any Doubletree I have stayed in. The lobby is nice; beyond that, the hotel is outdated--no Cookies at check-in. Our room had 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper; the staff seemed a little put out when we asked for a roll. Dinner on the first night: My wife was served a meal with a key ingredient (listed on the menu) that the server did not mention until after the meal was delivered to our table. Oddly, they offered us a discount on one of our cocktails rather than on the meal itself. Breakfast - We purchased our hotel stay with an upcharge for breakfast each morning. On our first morning, we ate breakfast, and it was horrible. Cold, Soggy meat and eggs. It just wasn't good. We ended up going to a McDonald's (about 5 minutes away) for the rest of the mornings of our trip, forfeiting the breakfast we'd already paid for. read more

We are repeat visitors and enjoy this location! It is inviting in many ways. The first greeting is the entrance and front desk. You and your family can arrive to the front entrance with your vehicle and unload. The lobby is beautiful. Staff greets you with a smile. The rooms are big, clean, and put together with a modern and useful approach. The closet is out-fitted with hangars and shelves; with the option to use the room safe. The bathroom is clean and vanity lighting is present! The bedding is crisp and clean. The blues and greys are warming and chillaxing. Today was 98 degrees very hot day so I decided to book a hotel room so the grandkids can swim we drove thru traffic got here the waiting room is full of flies! First red flag, second red flag nobody was at the front desk phone is ringing nonstop then a young lady comes from idk where and puts the caller on hold and helps us I ask her what's the hours for swimming she says the swimming pool is closed how it's summer time in the bay area 3rd red flag we tell her wow we booked this hotel so kids can swim she cuts me off and says I can refund u ur money!! I tell her I refuse to go back out in that heat we get to the room it smells like musty and cigarette smell smh we leave to Walmart and leave the sliding door open to air out the room speed things up 8:30am we get knock at the door it's house keeping trying to clean the room OMG don't book here staff is under trained and the rooms remind you of a motel bathroom shower floor is digusting try the Marriott cause the Hilton Livermore don't live up to the hiltons it's giving motel 6 or super 8 read more

The Double Tree in Livermore provided a comfortable two-night stay while attending a seminar in the hotel's banquet room. I had checked from the Hilton app the evening before and selected a room on the first floor. The digital key was not available at this hotel at that time so I went to the front desk to get a key. However, when I arrived, they gave me a different room on the first floor, which was fine except the room key would not open the door. So they gave me room 213 on the second floor, which was fine. The double beds were made and the bathroom was clean. After the first night, house keeping had made my bed and provided a clean towel. The hotel stay was fairly simple, but not perfect. One of the pull out lights next to the bed didn't work, the TV Guide didn't match what was on TV, and house keeping threw out a bag that I was using to pack my shoes. The banquet room was really nice and the chandeliers looked lovely. The warm cookie upon arrival was delicious. I ate in the hotel restaurant twice for lunch and the food was okay. The turkey and chicken were a bit dry, but staff was happy to provide more gravy upon request. The workout room was just okay. No TV or music to listen to. They don't have a lot of machines but luckily no one was in there when I was there. The treadmill and elliptical machines were not connected to the TV stations so it made working out a little boring. All of the staff I encountered were nice and polite...from check-in to the restaurant staff. The restaurant staff didn't bring out our lunch plates the first day until we flagged them down and asked. Service was better the second day. There are several good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. read more

Extremely frustrating experience and it's been five hours since check-in. Had to call to ask for the WiFi and restaurant/room service bar hour, check-out time absolutely nothing was said;'it was an extremely cold experience overall including the bar where I ordered a nightcap to a lukewarm bartender who just seemed to want to go home; I tipped him $4 anyways... customer service skills lacking immensely; be prepare for fend for yourself other than given your room number. A smile goes a long way, especially when working for tips you want to feel you really deserve! The room is good, about 8/10 as far as hotel stays; Hilton never disappoints!! Which is the reason for my dismay; it is disheartening to leave this review. I had called the desk twice; the first time--no response. A few hours later it rang at least ten times (again), then was answered and was able to get the WiFi. For $110, this has not been a smooth ride. The pool is also closed. I learned that by reading a sign at the front desk. read more

Room was "ok". Food was awful, amenities sucked. Workout room? Just treadmills. Best of all... apparently 2-3 people have died here. 1st floor room had a dead body found in it. Someone died from Covid on 2nd Floor. Ghost/ tingling sensors go off here. read more

Checked in around 11pm. Fell asleep for an hour and a half & woke up to hear a loud buzzing and humming noise in my room. Called the front desk to complain. Of course I didn't want maintenance coming to my room just to hear the loud noise at 3am. Hoping to get a refund and speak to Mgr at 9am! read more

The place is beautifuly done but whoever renovated did not have build quality in mind. I went from room 210 with the shower not draining water since it was sloped incorrectly. Thinking it may have just been that room we politely asked for another room. We switched to 211 and same issue.. Scarlett was very accommodating and found us a room with a shower that worked properly on the 1st floor. We also noticed there were no fridges,no trashcan or lotion in the bathroom in all three of the rooms inconveniencing us even more. The next morning I wanted to use my gold member benefits to receive breakfast. The host relayed my request to his manager (Eduardo Escareno) and he didn't even bother to come out and explain to me why he's denying my request. read more

Spent the night here with family so we don't go back and forth from Daly City. Yesterday we went to a party in Dublin and today we're going to Union City for another party. Check-in late around 6pm. They gave us a different room than what was given the day before. Later that day around 10pm, family was hungry to I went out to find food. On my way to the elevator I notice a piece of paper next to the elevator, stating on May 19, 2024 from 9am to 2pm they will shut off the water due to an emergency plumbing issue. Disappointment nobody at the front said anything. If we had known, would have had the kids shower that night. Today (May 19) our family of 5 had to do everything before 9am, which was difficult as everyone slept late. Around 9am they shut off the water. Couldn't flush the toilet anymore. If we wanted to brush our teeth, it's a no go, etc. if you plan of showering, I would let it run a bit as it takes awhile for the hot water to kick-in read more

I can't believe this place doesn't have fridges, microwaves, or even reliable hot water in the showers. Definitely not up to the Doubletree standards. If they're going to charge for breakfast they could at least get an espresso machine too. Powdered creamer is just embarrassing. The only thing keeping the rating from dropping lower is the staff. Joshua and Scarlett were top notch. As a new hotel I'm willing to give them a bit of grace, but they really need to step up their game. read more

The hotel is old but I think it was renovated the rooms are ok but it smells like dirty wet mop the carpet was dirty felt like they didn't even vacuum it properly and I saw some dust on the tv stand... people are out on the balcony smoking weed when I walk in the back door in the afternoon but the lobby is good and the staff was wonderful.. Couple of things!! No warm cookies given, no body wash in our room, breakfast stopped early and we were told it ends at 1030, the chief took a "break" and closed early. The refrigerator was filled with spoiled food from previous guest, slow drain in shower, out of shower gel, and I can hear next door showers from my room. It was a connecting room setting but still I did not want to hear what my next door does because they can hear what I do!!! I called the front and they offered new room but after unpacking I refused. Regardless of offering to change room, they should keep the room clean and improve sound proofing. Oh one more, I had to waste water for 1-2 minutes to get hot water in shower. They mentioned there is a scheduled hot water maintenance tomorrow. This will be the first and last visit to this location. read more

Very nice hotel! Unprofessional front desk staff. I live in the area and decided to plan a stay here but after visiting the location today 12/11/23 I instantly changed my mind. I walked in and the front desk girl "scarlet" was sitting at the bar as if she were a customer, being very loud. I had to wait for her to come back to her post to finally greet me. So this place has been remodeled and is really nice on the inside. The kitchen and bar are amazing. Great drink selection. The food is delicious and so reasonably priced. The chef has put a lot into the menu. I travel a lot, and I will put this on my list of locations for my coworkers to stay at and eat on site. read more
