I killed a roach in room 110 around midnight Christmas Eve/Morning. I brought it, dead, to the…read morefront desk, then went back to my room. After I was asleep, a couple hours later, I received a text message from the front desk attendant. She had use the roach as an excuse to look up my phone number to ask me for a cigarette. No other mention of the roach. I have elderly relatives in Rockdale, will need a Rockdale hotel again in the future. Probably not this one.

Our pipes bursted again so we needed to find a convenient place to stay for a few days. The front desk clerk was very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend her. Later we saw that the hotel water had turned brown. I thought it was unusual. I asked the clerk , who was different from the one who greeted us, about a room change. She seemed a little confused about my request so I explained that we needed to run an errand and will return. My husband insisted on handling our request because it seemed that the new on duty desk clerk was a little hostile. The clerk explained that the city works on the water system without informing the residents. I understood, however she began to ask us about our experience checking in before check in time, what time did we check in? Did the clerk explain that we could not check in before three o'clock? And we should not have been allowed to check in at 11:00 am. The clerk walked over to the sign on the wall, "Check-In 3:00p.m." That is where I nearly lost it. I am a PhD holder. My husband is also a PhD holder and we own several companies and this woman felt that she had to walk over and point to a sign to show us what 3 PM look like. I walked away as my husband continued a conversation. He's more patient than I am. So back to the question , hire and train welcoming individuals who are good at customer service.

It…read moremight had been the time I came here, but there were swarms of grasshoppers and crickets all around the exterior of the hotel. There were a bunch of dead ones too so add the 105+ degree weather and you got yourself a bad odor that lingered in the hotel rooms. The staff here were pretty nice so that one star was for them. My room was on the ground floor so it was fine except there were bugs in my room. It wasn't bad compared with my coworkers' rooms which had grasshoppers in them. Lucky for me that annoying flies and what looked like a small beetle instead of grasshoppers. The floor felt really dirty to me and it almost felt like it was damp but it wasn't. It felt like my feet were so dirty just walking around my room. The complimentary breakfast was from 6am to 10am and it was complimentary for a reason. The choices were limited not to mention the eggs and what appeared to be sausage had only enough for one person. If the bug problem was eliminated, the rooms were cleaned better, and breakfast was better then this would be a decent place to stay at.

We reserved a room with a credit card 3 hours before our expected arrival. 30 minutes later our cars tire monitor showed a low tire. It was after 6 pm on Sunday. There weren't any repair stations open anywhere near our location even though we were in south Ft Worth. Lots of closed places. Luckily we pulled into a Motel 6 parking lot and were basically stuck there until Monday morning. We couldn't go that far on the 50 mph spare. I called the Days Inn and they happily cancelled our reservation and wished us luck with the tire repair. It took four tries to get through to an actual person. Their automated system needs work so I deducted a star.
