Town Place Suites by Marriott

In all fairness, we booked this place in an emergency. Our other air bnb fell through. Our original…read moreimpression was great because the room was clean and cool. And they are "pet friendly". We were also advised that there wouldn't be any pet fees, yet when we reviewed the bill, there's a $75 pet fee. Few things we noticed before settling in. 1. The bathroom has a stand up shower with half glass to avoid water leaking or splashing on the floor. That is pointless. The water was getting everywhere when we showered. They need to add a door that closes of they want to keep a stand up shower or change to a tub. 2. The water pressure sucks. And you can see the calcium build up on the shower head. The shower head should be cleaned at least once a month. 3. The bed, while big enough for us, had depressions in it (from normal wear and tear). With the depression in the bed and pillows being extremely soft, the bed was uncomfortable. 4. While they say they are pet friendly, I dont think they are. My dogs are generally very quiet, and will only bark if they hear someone at the door or need something. We were asked to leave and take the dogs for a walk because they were receiving "noise complaints" if a dog can't see what's happening, they will all bark to alert the owners of possible dangers. There were people outside walking up and down and talking (cleaners and guests) 5. Apparently it was "bike fest" and they people that stayed at the hotel, kept revving their engins. This triggered my dogs to bark. They do the same at home all the time. While we were on the 4th floor, we were still able to hear the bikes and it was loud and annoying. 6. All the cyclists took over all the parking and that made it next to impossible to find parking at night. While I understand policy and procedures, if you're a pet friendly establishment, then it should be known that pets will bark. Its not like they're regular pets. These are emotional support pets. Most times they were with me in the room since I was not well during this trip. So when they asked us to leave for that day we felt unwelcomed.

I was there for work for an extended period of time. On Easter Sunday, after I had been there for 6…read moreweeks, they emptied my room while I was home. They claim my reservation had run out even though my boss, who was paying for the room, had told them I would be there for 12 weeks. When they gave me my stuff back, I was missing a lot of my things. AirPods, a small laptop carry on case, all my jewelry including a 2300 necklace my husband had purchased for my birthday and several less expensive items. The only reason I wasn't wearing the necklace is I had broken out in hives and needed a prescription gel to get rid of them. Not only has Townplace been completely uncooperative and sometimes rude, I have called customer service who refuses to return my call. I filed a police report and the detective on my case was told that the employees involved in emptying my room will no longer cooperate with him. I am so angry with how I have been treated and will not stop until they pay for my missing items. DO NOT stay here.

First of all, my room was never made up after the first night, so fresh towels vacuuming trash…read moretaken out etc did not occur. The room was just gross. The lamp shades were all stained, the chair at the desk was completely torn, the lamps were rusted the windows and draperies were filthy. The toilet seat was not attached properly. The shower was not cleaned and falling apart. The carpeting throughout the room was stained and smelled of cigarette smoke. Also , as we walked down the hall , there were people smoking in their rooms and the fumes were quite pungent. I have attached a few pictures of the room for you. When walking to my car, there were homeless people standing right in front of the hotel, right by the front desk, and nobody from the front desk asked them to leave. This occurred both nights that we stayed. There were also cigarette butts all over the property. The day that we were to check out there was a knock at my door at nine thirty telling us that it's time to leave. We told the gentleman that we were packing up and getting ready to go. I left the room shortly after to get a cup of coffee and my key did not work upon returning to my room. I thought that my stay did not end until 11 o'clock a.m. But, to make matters even worse again at 1045 a.m. as though I was in a prison camp, I get another knock at the door demanding that I leave my room and that my stay was complete, this time I was not as receptive. After I packed up my car, I went to the front desk asking to speak to the manager where I was told that he would not be in until Monday the following day. That is when he handed me this little piece of paper with this information that I am writing to you. I explained to him everything that I'm explaining to you and he had little if any interest in any of my concerns whatsoever. I am a travel agent and my family has owned and operated a travel agency for over fifty years in Miami Beach , Florida , and in all of my years traveling , I have never encountered a property as disgusting and repulsive as yours. You can be sure that I will spread the news about my trip to all of my friends , family and business acquaintances about my experience at your resort.

This was my 2nd stay at this location, and I should have never given this place another chance. The…read morefront desk clerk was not friendly, not welcoming and lacked any personality. He charged me $15 to check in early although my room was ready and he didn't explain anything like pool hours, breakfast etc. I even tried to lighten the encounter because it was so quiet and awkward I said, "I last stayed here in August and remember you checking me in, how are you"? he looked at me like I had 3 heads and said "Ohh". Then went silent again. He handed me my keys and that was all out of him. I then had to ask pool hours, laundry room level, breakfast time and when is checkout etc. I'm a Guest Service Supervisor in Las Vegas and would have pulled this front desk clerk aside if I overheard this encounter. There were 2 other employees in the area just looking at us but didn't say anything. Then to top it off my room was so gross and skeevy. There were black hairs on my white comforter, stains on the brown couch, hair on the shower walls and the shower pressure was so bad I noticed black mold on the ceiling in the shower and on the ceiling outside the bathroom door. I documented photos as well. Really gross! I went to bed feeling so grossed out and couldn't wait to leave this place. I usually stay at a Hilton by this Leesburg; Florida location didn't offer many options. I'm definitely never staying at this location ever again. Yuck!!!!

Thank God for Comfort Inn !!…read more It it wasn't for them I wouldn't be able to charge my car ! There is a dearth of chargers in The Villages area. I guess people here don't believe in electric cars lol ! Anyhoo ... Here I am .... First time I've used any charger in Florida since I've moved here. As you can tell the car has been sitting & waiting until I got all its appropriate registration car details in order. This is quite the process ! Pretty fast chargers so far ! Obviously I will be back !

I say that because it was not dirty, but on stepping into our room we were greeted with a strong musty odor that assaulted my allergies. I called the front desk and they quickly switched us to another room. The new one had a dehumidifier running. The towels were like cardboard, the shower water got nice and hot, and the complimentary breakfast was enough (waffles, scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, bacon, bread, mini muffins, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, apple and orange juice, dry cereals, and grits). We booked online for $159 for a Saturday night. I saw the rate $11 cheaper a few days before our trip. But couldn't change the reservation. When we checked out, we got charged the lower rate. But we already had been billed for the higher rate. So, I will have to dispute the charges with the credit card company. Would we stay here again? Yes, probably. It's not worth the price but I guess we are paying for the location.

Truly terrifying that this place is allowed to stay open. I got sick after staying here one night…read moreand stayed sick for several days. My dr thinks it was due to the filth and mold in the rooms. Bugs crawl all around the hotel from the lobby, to the halls, to the rooms and coffee makers. We used 15,000 hard earned Wyndham Rewards points for this one night stay. What a waste of points that was!! This hotel should be rated half a star. If I were paying cash, it would not be worth more than $35 per night. There were so many issues with this hotel that there isn't enough time, or space, to list them all. It is obvious that the Wyndham corporation does not inspect their properties. They should be ashamed to have their name associated with this piece of junk. It has made me question them as a corporation after this experience. As a travel agent, I will never recommend any Wyndham property to my clients. Overall, the property is run down and filthy. The lobby was our first impression and we both walked away with a sinking feeling after checking in. The paint and wall coverings were peeling. The floor was dirty. The lobby was old and worn with a dingy appearance. There was a nearly empty vending machine and a worn out couch near the check in desk. Sadly, it was downhill after that. We got into a rickety elevator to the third floor. As we walked down the hall to our room, the carpet was dirty and worn, and had a bad odor. The hallway walls were scuffed and in need of a new painting. There was another empty vending machine by the elevator. Our room was disgusting. When we opened the door, a horrendous odor wafted through the air. The smell never went away, it was noxious. We both felt nauseous, but it was late at night and there was nowhere else to go. The bathroom was dirty. I doubt it was cleaned as there were long, dark hairs in the shower. The walls had peeling paint and scuff marks. The mattress was worn out and lumpy. The phone charging station next to the bed did not work. I would recommend avoiding this hotel, as well as any of the Wyndham brand hotels, as it is clear that they do not inspect their properties.
