This hotel was absolutely beautiful and so well kept…read more The decor is ranch / lodge style but it was so incredibly clean and a very nice hotel for the price. I was here for work but I would gladly return if I was on a leisure trip (someday maybe). The room was large and well designed. It felt like a luxury hotel or what one would expect. My view was of the roof but that is okay, it was going to rain anyways. The bathroom was quite big and I liked the decor making a statement even in the can. There were antler or branch like accents on the lights on the mirrors that I still remember. There was a nice rainfall showerhead. The bed was great. A gentleman notices a nice bed fellas. The breakfast was interesting in that it was made-to-order but also a buffet so some things you waited and then others you grabbed. It did take a bit of time for the food to get made and you order off of a menu. Even though it is all you can eat, it seemed like a one and done sort of deal but regardless I left with a full belly so that is great. The staff was helpful with an issue I had with a credit card and there were plenty of people around which i figured considering the area and time of the year it would be dead but it wasn't. There is a Wolfgang Puck rest on site that was very good and I will write a separate review. I am a fan!

We were also advised that there wouldn't be any pet fees, yet when we reviewed the bill, there's a $75 pet fee. Few things we noticed before settling in. 1. The bathroom has a stand up shower with half glass to avoid water leaking or splashing on the floor. That is pointless. The water was getting everywhere when we showered. They need to add a door that closes of they want to keep a stand up shower or change to a tub. 2. The water pressure sucks. And you can see the calcium build up on the shower head. The shower head should be cleaned at least once a month. 3. The bed, while big enough for us, had depressions in it (from normal wear and tear). With the depression in the bed and pillows being extremely soft, the bed was uncomfortable. 4. While they say they are pet friendly, I dont think they are. My dogs are generally very quiet, and will only bark if they hear someone at the door or need something. We were asked to leave and take the dogs for a walk because they were receiving "noise complaints" if a dog can't see what's happening, they will all bark to alert the owners of possible dangers. There were people outside walking up and down and talking (cleaners and guests) 5. Apparently it was "bike fest" and they people that stayed at the hotel, kept revving their engins. This triggered my dogs to bark. They do the same at home all the time. While we were on the 4th floor, we were still able to hear the bikes and it was loud and annoying. 6. All the cyclists took over all the parking and that made it next to impossible to find parking at night. While I understand policy and procedures, if you're a pet friendly establishment, then it should be known that pets will bark. Its not like they're regular pets. These are emotional support pets. Most times they were with me in the room since I was not well during this trip. So when they asked us to leave for that day we felt unwelcomed.

He charged me $15 to check in early although my room was ready and he didn't explain anything like pool hours, breakfast etc. I even tried to lighten the encounter because it was so quiet and awkward I said, "I last stayed here in August and remember you checking me in, how are you"? he looked at me like I had 3 heads and said "Ohh". Then went silent again. He handed me my keys and that was all out of him. I then had to ask pool hours, laundry room level, breakfast time and when is checkout etc. I'm a Guest Service Supervisor in Las Vegas and would have pulled this front desk clerk aside if I overheard this encounter. There were 2 other employees in the area just looking at us but didn't say anything. Then to top it off my room was so gross and skeevy. There were black hairs on my white comforter, stains on the brown couch, hair on the shower walls and the shower pressure was so bad I noticed black mold on the ceiling in the shower and on the ceiling outside the bathroom door. I documented photos as well. Really gross! I went to bed feeling so grossed out and couldn't wait to leave this place. I usually stay at a Hilton by this Leesburg; Florida location didn't offer many options. I'm definitely never staying at this location ever again. Yuck!!!!

Amazing staff! I have met some incredibly nice people during my three day stay…read more This is an inside smoke free facility and I love the fresh clean smell. (outside designated smoking area) The hotel is newly opened after the recent purchase and there are a few things needing to be taken care of, the ice maker on the second floor is not working which is not a big deal, when I called the front desk, I was offered ice from their supply, used for the continental breakfast. I would definitely stay here again, the location makes it convenient to shopping, restaurants, and most anything you might need or want. I wish I could rate the establishment and staff separately, the 4 stars is because of the broken ice maker, I would give a 10 star rating for the staff.

There's only one good thing I will say about this - Gary at the front desk was amazing. From the carpets to the walls to the bathtub to the headboard, this place was absolutely filthy. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! This is the worst hotel I have ever…read morestayed in.I was returning to SWFL just after a hurricane. Finding a room was difficult to say the least (which I expected). . Honestly the only reason I stayed here was because this is all there was and I had been driving for more than 12 hours. I should have followed my instincts when I pulled in the parking lot and there were guys drinking liquor out of bags sitting on the ground and groups of shady characters smoking marijuana. There was no where else for me to go. It was late and it was dark and I needed a safe place to stay. This was not it. After checking in (the girl at the desk was pleasant) I headed to my room. First off things are not well lit and it is not clear where the stairs are, at least not at night. Once I drove around the building twice I headed to my room. Once inside I pulled a heavy desk in front of the door. I relaxed (the bed was comfortable)and went to sleep a bit late. At 3:57am there was a loud banging on my door. I sat up thinking that i was dreaming. I picked up the room phone (which was sticky) to see if maybe the hotel sent someone up. The phone did not work. Then there was more pounding. I got up and looked out and there were two men 25ish who immediately apologized. I did believe it was an honest mistake but still felt I should notify the front desk. I used my personal phone to call multiple times and received no answer. About 30 minutes later as I was relaxed enough to go back to sleep it happened AGAIN! I looked out the curtain to see another man, much larger and a bit older. He also apologized. Again I tried several times to call the front desk with no answer. Not having a clue what was happening and no one to contact to ensure I was safe I had to call the police. Because I couldn't reach anyone at the desk I wanted to get out of that sketchy place! They did send 3 officers to walk me to my car at 5am. I continued to call and someone finally answered at 6:04am. It was obvious they were asleep. I was told she would contact a manager after 9am. My guess is the manger was right there asleep in the bed! Anyway no one ever called me but I did call them. I was told that they had reviewed the security tapes and saw all I had said. The answer was that them men knocking on the door were energy workers who where doing repairs after the storm. I believe that. What is really bothersome though is that there is supposed to be someone at the desk 24/7. No one was there! That along with a phone that did not work is unacceptable. Choice hotels really needs to decide if this is the type of place their brand represents. This whole stay had the potential to go very wrong! I feel like I am piling on but also don't expect a "clean" room, not if you know what clean is. There is crud all along the edges of the carpet and around the base of the bed and the headboards. I had made a decision as soon as I went into the bathroom that would not be showering. The bath towels are stiff and grayish white. There were two 1/2 bottles of hotel shampoo in the counter and no soap. Edited to add: I told my mother that I would have felt safer in a dark back corner of a truck stop parking lot with all my car doors unlocked!!!! No offense to any truckers out there!
