Lots to say.
It was difficult to find in the dark and looked really sketchy and scary pulling in, but you get what you paid for and I paid $45. I'm glad I was there with my husband for sure. We did get there later at night, and when we got there we had to wait for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. Somehow we had a reservation but not a room?? But the guy working the front desk found a different room that was technically an "upgrade." He didn't charge us extra for the upgrade, which was really nice, and made sure to keep us in a non-smoking room, which was also really nice. Im pretty sure the room he gave us was supposed to not be rented as the second bed was broken, but we only needed one bed and having a place to stay the night was more important.
The room itself was.. okay. Again, you get what you pay for. The carpet was threadbare, and there was an adjoining door that we had to move furniture in front of. (Which, to be fair, we would do at a nicer hotel too.) The sheets were clean and new looking, the towels were clean and new looking, but overall the room (and hotel) was starting to fall into disrepair. The window was old, but there's not much to look at outside anyways. The shower was dirty, but the toilet, sink, and counter were clean. The heater worked REALLY well, we had to turn it off halfway through the night and it was on the lowest setting. Honestly, the worst part was the location, which was super seedy.
Overall, you get what you pay for. I was not expecting a 5 star location for $45. The service was very nice at check in and check out. In the morning the location is much less ominous, but I probably wouldn't stay here again. read more
