Hotel is advertised as 4 star,, only gets 1 star because I have to. Mold in bathroom, FLYS EVERYWHERE, carpets stained all over the place, trim around ac soaked from water leak somewhere, Bathroom faucet leaks as much water as the faucet puts out, drain leaks more water on the floor then down the drain. Toilet sitting out in the "COMMON" area next to a pile of broken cinder blocks. Gazebo area has weeds almost as tall as its railings. Run run as fast as you can, sleep in your car. Will NOT stay here ever again. read more

This is not a 5 start hotel, it's a 3 start hotel with 4 star service. We went to Moreno to visit friends and stopped her on the return trip to spend the night, The place was friendly, clean and had a fairly comfortable bed. Price was very good as well coming in under $70.00 for the one night. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful, even giving my wife a key to the room before we actually paid for it so she could use the restroom as there is not one available for public use in the office. The place is dated, but I felt secure in the room ( 1st floor ) door and windows locks were sturdy. Everything was very low to the floor however, even the toilet seemed very low to us. It wasn't a problem, just something we noticed. They do offer a breakfast with cereal, toast, some sweets, coffee and OJ. Nothing fancy, but enough to get a morning jump started. Looks like there is pool for summertime use, but it was covered ( We were there in January) . While the area smells like farmland ( What a fine fresh scent it has!) the room did not carry the smell of manure, the heater kept the room warm enough and the water was hot for my morning shower.. I get that this isn't a 5 star hotel. But it was the worst place I've ever stayed. And I travel for a living. Trash outside our door in the "lawn". People drinking in the parking lot at 11pm. At least 6 flies I've counted in my room. Every room has peeling paint and pictures ripped of the walls. The beds are hard as rock. The walls are paper thin, and there's apparently no regulation on how much your dog can bark. I can't wait to never see this place again. It was a good price, but I've stayed in better places for even less, so there's no excuse. read more

I guess you get what you pay for. I can't say there was one thing I was impressed with about this hotel. From the get-go the experience was just bad. My friends and I had purchased a groupon to go to the Glenwood Adventure Caverns, but all the hotels in Glenwood were out of our budget so we decided to stay in New Castle, having prior good experiences with Choice hotels. For starters, we were under the impression that we were staying at the Rodeway Inn, but the address we pulled up to was an Econolodge, and the Yelp name is Comfort Inn..... really? Why would they need to change it so much? CONFUSING. Anyway, the hotel we pulled up to looked unwelcoming - the grass was completely yellow and un-cared for and the rest of the landscaping really needed some sprucing up as well. When we went inside I realized that the door to the outside, which was supposed to require a key, was broken and therefore unlocked at all times. That didn't make me feel particularly safe. We went out for dinner on Saturday night and came home to a message from the hotel desk complaining about the dogs we had brought - saying they had not known we were bringing them. I can understand and respect other guests being frustrated with barking dogs, as I can't say I wouldn't be bothered by it myself. However, the dogs were on the reservation, and the hotel should have known they would be there had they done their due diligence. Yet another unwelcoming factor. I brought my computer thinking there would be free, reliable, Wifi to get some work done on. However, the Wifi connection was so spotty that it was almost impossible to load one web page with it. Seriously.... I've never had a Wifi connection this awful. On top of all this, the air conditioner worked very poorly - very disappointing on a hot summer night. I could not wait to leave this hotel and will never EVER be back. Stay away! read more

I love staying with choice hotels. it's the only hotel group i typically stay with. that being said, this is the worst hotel I've ever experienced on their roster. my reservation included 2 dogs, which apparently they didn't see on their screen. I got a call while we were at dinner that my dogs were barking a bit and they had no idea we had dogs. Well, read the reservation and then you would know. furthermore, if you're going to be a pet friendly hotel, you're going to have to deal with barking. dogs don't like being in strange places. they bark from discomfort. get over it. each bed only came with 2 pillows, 2 each on a queen size bed. bullcrap! there should be 4 on each! cheap-os... we went ion for breakfast this morning, and while i will admit it was 15 minutes before closing, there was nothing refilled. there was 1 piece of egg left, no cream cheese for the bagels, the cranberry juice was pink water, the bottle of syrup was empty. we basically at dry waffles for breakfast. it was awful. they don't know how to put in my frequent flyer miles number so i get to miss out on a bunch of credits for that too. yay! oh and lastly, the WIFI sucks. it connects for 60 seconds every 5 minutes. read more

We got there late and as we were walking to the room, I spotted 2 cockroaches. Thankfully I didn't find any inside the room. It seemed to be clean but my towel had a piece of catus stuck in it which was not an enjoyable experience after getting out of the shower. The breakfast was sad, 2 granola bars and some cereal. This is a nicely appointed hotel room, and the price is great. There is a reason for that - 1. Rooms poorly stocked - Kleenex box empty, no regular coffee, no soap at sink. 2. The floor on second floor is so creaky that we can hear the person upstairs breathe. The floor moves and creaks everytime. 3. The toilet won't flush. Flushed 4 times, plungered and flushed 4 more times, then flushed some more. Not full, just a cranky toilet. 4. The "Breakfast" is junk. Sliced bread, instant oatmeal and the ubiquitous waffle machine. Fruit juice, mediocre coffee with plastic cream and pink packets. No fruit, yoghurt or protein. I don't expect a full spread, but half & half and yellow sweetener packets, some cream cheese and peanut butter is kinda my minimum. 5. Most importantly, if you check in here, and plan to sleep, you'll be awakened at 9am when housekeeping taps on the door so quietly that you can't even hear, then OPENS THE DOOR *WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING*. Literally, even once I heard it, the tap was so quiet that I didn't realize that it was *my* door. Then she opened the door, and kept coming in after I yelled once, twice, on the THIRD yell, the door closed. Still didn't say anything. I had to get up, go to the door, open it and peek out before anything was said. "I'll come back later." NO, you won't. If you come near me again, I will . . . I WANT to follow you home and shriek at you at 3am, to ensure that you have a lovely wake-up. It is NOT ACCEPTABLE for housekeeping to enter a room without making a good faith attempt to ensure that it is not occupied. And then, once you wake someone, the *VERY LEAST* you can do is apologize, inform occupants that it is housekeeping before taking off. Literally, panic and heart attacks are not something you want to pay for. This is not a place i would recommend to ANYONE. read more

Don't stay here!!!!!! There infested with bed bugs!!!! A Friend and her family stayed here over the weekend to visit, and first night they were there. They had welts all over there body! They lifted up the mattress and sure enough a huge bed bug. Now what! read more

The only positive I found with this hotel was the desk ladies were very kind, and greeted us as we walked in for coffee in the morning. This place was NOT worth the 90$! I should have packed a tent and went camping with my children. This place was so dirty, dead bugs, cigarettes, and trash everywhere! I couldn't get out of here fast enough. The only reason we went ahead and stayed was because all the other hotels in town were full, and I couldn't drive anymore. We just needed sleep, and guess this place was better than nothing. I would recommend you find a Airbnb, or camp vs this hotel. I regret not taking photos to show the horrors.
