Was referred by my family doctor. Saw orthopaedic surgeon for consultation at time appointment was booked. She recommended an active Physio treatment at her clinic so the therapists could consult with her as my treatment progressed. Dave is my therapist and he and his team are darn good. Making sure to keep me moving around and actively helping to strengthen the mcl that I've been having problems with. Park underground and get them to validate parking if you're doing Physio (they won't validate if you're not doing Physio sadly) They know what they're doing. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I was referred here by a family doctor regarding my knee pain and sever swelling as well as buckling every step I took. I was first made to wait months for a call to let me know when my appointment was, I was not expecting to get in soon but three months to call and tell me an appointment date seemed ridiculous to me. When my appointment date finally came I arrived and met with a male doctor, he did some exams and told me to come back after I had my mri (which wasn't for another 3 months) and said he wasn't able to do anything until he saw the results, he recommended I do physio, so I did as I was told. Did my physio and again waited to hear from them about an appointment after my mri was completed. A month later I am told I have an appointment, I should up for said appointment and wait for 30 minutes, then to my surprise I am not booked in with the same surgeon as before, I have a new one. She does all the same exams as the previous surgeon, then says she will be right back to double check my mri results (which I don't believe she even looked at my chart in the first place) after she comes back she makes me do one more exam, as my knee proceeds to buckle and pop/crack loudly and in immense pain she says "you can't fake that now can you" and I teared up from the pain. I was shocked at her comment and honestly didn't know what to say to her. She then proceeds to tell me that she doesn't think I am a candidate for surgery (not even explaining to me what kind of surgery I am not eligible for) because I'm "too young" and "it's a really hard surgery for them to do" I'm sorry but isn't that ageism? And don't you get paid to do surgeries? She recommended $500 custom foot orthotics, $300 shot for my knee, and physio. Then told me to come back in three months if none of that worked to discuss options for possible surgery... that I thought I wasn't eligible for... Needless to say I am waiting for a second opinion. Avoid this place at all costs if you don't want to waste a year of your time and health. read more

Waited 5 months to get seen by orthopaedic surgeon. He didn't offer any procedure nor multidisciplinary treatment, as advertised on their website - just anti inflammatories and a splint (already have those) and time (injury was 1 1/2 years ago). History taking was pathetic- didn't ask me what makes it better or worse, didn't explore functional impact or goals. The clinic didn't triage me to a doctor with interest in this joint. They don't have sinks in the examining room, so the doctor didn't wash his hands before shaking my hand and examining me. In response to David M's comments- it is not appropriate to wash hands in a different room, as there are germs on door handles. read more

The staff here are amazing! I have not had any positive experiences prior to attending this clinic with physiotherapy so I was very sceptical to try again. Dave and his team turned that opinion around very quickly. Here I feel heard and validated which is huge. I feel like I am a team Member in my path to recovery. When I express concerns Dave listens to me and works with me to address them. Everybody here is so positive (staff and clients alike). When I walk in the door I am greeted by the front desk staff by name. Katie goes out of her way to make sure you are happy. Do yourself a favour and check this place out. read more

It's been almost a year since my first visit, which took four months to see a doctor, and I still haven't heard back about a second consultation. It was also unclear why I saw the doctor that I did for the first visit, which was regarding a torn meniscus in my knee. The person I saw wasn't even a "knee guy" and said that I would have to see a different doctor at Rocky mountain medical. I haven't even been able to book the next appointment. read more
