We landed in Calgary and very luckily I was able to snag an appointment with Dr. Hoover the very next day. He was patient and caring, explaining everything in an unhurried manner as he treated me, and allowing my husband to video the maneuvers so he could replicate them afterward. He also provided me with exercises to continue the treatment at home. I felt much better after my session and continued to improve in the days after. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Hoover. So I thought this would be a good place to get a massage at. I booked at the beginning of the week with Corrine Lloyd. Their website is not up to date, since it said $65 for an hour massage but it was actually $70. When I arrived for my appointment I filled out a pretty comprehensive health form. The receptionist was very nice and asked if I could pay first, because she was going to go for lunch. The office is very nice inside, there is tea and water, a TV to watch. There was a album of foster children that are sponsored by the clinic. Corrine came out and got me. We went over my form, she asked for a few more details, then she had me hop on the table. As a massage therapist myself, I have never been able to find a therapist that has truly helped me but also made me feel relaxed. Corrine did that! Her technique was very thorough. She has a lot of strength, but knows how to regulate it when needed. She has been a therapist for 12 years and it shows! She worked on everything I asked, but didn't over work anything. She only talked if I talked first. I have never walked out of a massage feeling as good as I did then! I highly, highly recommend Corrine for your massage therapy needs, you will not be disappointed! I cannot wait to go back!

I have been very reluctant to allow new doctors to treat me because of some poor care I received from earlier doctors. I moved to Calgary on 2013 and needed a new chiropractor. THINK TWICE before purchasing a Dealfind voucher for this clinic!!…read more You will be treated like a second class citizen and placed on a waitlist (ie: cancellation list) if you have a voucher but if you pay full price as a new client, then you will be fast tracked and can book in immediately. As a person who works in health care, I find this two-tiered approach appalling. I purchased the voucher because I was still searching for a decent massage therapist/clinic and Dealfind's offer seemed like a good way to try out various providers for quality and techniques. But I am a firm believer that patients should never be treated as second class based on the ability to pay -- I guess they forgot that I have already prepaid! I have already decided that regardless of the quality of massage service that I hopefully someday will receive here (if I am ever able to redeem my voucher since there are 40-50 Dealfind customers ahead of me), I will not be returing to the clinic again out of pure principle. Prepaid service should never mean second class service.

I'm reviewing for a single appointment I had with the Natropath Dr. Vinge. First let me say that…read morethe location was great and really well kept. It was easy to find and the waiting room was clean and relaxing! The receptionist was super helpful and on the ball, as well. Background: I'm a fat girl recently diagnosed with T2 Diabetes. I had some coverage for a Naturopath in my benefits so I decided to utilize it, despite Dr. Vinge not being a diabetic specialist, which I understood in advance. I spent over an hour filling out a sheet of possibile symtoms I've experienced recently in advance of the appointment, which I felt was really thorough. Dr. Vinge had then plotted it on a scale to see what was wrong with me. It turns out, pretty much everything! She seemed overwhelmed by my lack of general health. (I'll attribute that to poor upbringing, genetics and also pure laziness) and sat with me for an hour telling me some fairly unrealistic things like, cut all meat and dairy out because humans shouldn't be eating that. She mentioned all these very expensive foods I should be eating despite my expressing budgeting concerns. And she told me to get off birth control. I asked what I should do about pregnancy and she said, that's not a problem if you're not having intercourse? Who said I wasn't? I'm in a long term hetero relationship... is it because I'm a fat person? I don't know. It was just a first meeting but I won't be back to Dr. Vinge. She seems like her heart is in the right place, but I couldn't help leaving feeling judged and like such a big mess, no one could ever possibly help me. I'll stick with my specialists who don't make me feel that way. However, don't let this deter you from giving her a chance if you have the benefits to try it out.
