As of today I need to add to that list, a hernia surgery performed by Dr. Turner Lisle. Another stellar performance by the excellent surgeons and staff at the excellent Vail Health hospital in Vail, CO. From the moment I checked in at admissions right through to the moment I checked out I was expertly cared for by the entire staff including Cary, Lily, and Grant who were cheerful, charming, and caring at all times making the whole surgery process as smooth and comfortable as any surgery could possibly be. Vail Health's use of the excellent Da Vinci surgical robot (used in both of my knee replacements and the hernia repair) has resulted in minimally invasive and excellent results in all three cases for me, and I highly recommend it. A normal hernia procedure without Da Vinci requires a far larger incision with 6-8 week recovery time, whereas Dr. Lyle has cleared me for near full recovery in 7-10 days. Amazing! I play pickleball 3 hours a day, ride my mountain bike 4-5 days per week, and ski 30-50 days a year, so sports are the focus of my life. I have had numerous Perscriptions called to the wrong pharmacy…read more 3x I have gone to pick up a Perscription and a problem occurred and was told the doctor was not returning their calls. Now I have a delayed Perscription. I was told to start emailing the doctor with any questions that I have. So I started to email her. She does not check her emails and there is nothing to flag her to tell her if she has anything in her inbox. So I've gone 1 to 2 weeks without getting any responses. They are very slow at returning calls and following up I would not recommend anyone going to this practice!

On my way out the door, they called me back in to charge me $200 for the consult that they said would be credited to my treatment. Didn't happen. The treatment I received, when I was emailed the bill since there wasnt anyone at the desk to check out with after a 15 minute wait, was $800 more than the service I had received at another facility. I called to ask and after 5 phone calls, finally received someone who could answer and told me that they had sice lowered the price $200 but because I came in before they did that I owed the whole amount and she said someone would follow up with an answer about consult fee. I went back in to finish treatments and was nicely told by dr that I might bruise, and can wait until after an event I had that night, right there her assistant booked me a new appointment and said she would check on the consultation. I put it in my schedule for the week, Went back and they didn't have an appointment for me. Which is very frustrating as I had to arrange my schedule to be able to come to that appointment. It is standard practice to notify a patient of what the charges will be before treatment, but not with epiphany. They are so exhorbitantly high, they try to hide it from everyone. The Drs are great, but everything else about the place is horrible. Its a little outrageous in price compared to every other place in vail Valley, the front des and customer service are horrible, the main phoneline for the chain is very unhelpful. Sad because its a great place to get skin canncer checks and treatments, just wish they could be better all around.
