The new guy wanted to "make things right"... Well, here you go. I'll let the pictures tell the story. This is their idea of "making it right"... Incredibly rude and disrespectful!!!! ***PLEASE NOTE: The pictures were put in backwards so you will have to start from the last picture and work your way back. ---------- Extremely poor customer service from the start -- calls weren't returned promptly, appointments were delayed, and communication was inconsistent for weeks. Initial measurements and estimates were incorrect, covering areas I didn't request and containing pricing and material discrepancies not in my favor. Proposal included nearly 300 sq ft of unnecessary turf (over $800 in waste), which I was expected to pay for despite it not being used. Multiple follow-ups over several weeks were ignored or met with excuses (system issues, personal matters, travel), causing major delays and frustration. After giving them repeated chances while prepared to spend $10K+, the proposal was still wrong and communication ultimately stopped altogether.

Cornelio was charming while making the sale and I trusted him. When his team came out it was aweful from start to finish and the end product is not good. Got our estimate, paid the deposit and waited. And waited. And messaged, and waited. After 6 weeks of no update, I learn our color choice was backordered and nobody knew/told us (we would have chosen another color because our dog was getting hurt!). Figured out that delay, then, "any day now". Another two weeks, many reminders and nagging texts (I hate nagging contractors, I would rather they just do their job). Finally texted to cancel our contract and get our money back, and surprise! Our fence was ready to install. Installer finally came and was a hard worker, but the post they sent has exposed edges and didn't accept the hardware correctly. The hinges didn't really self-close so we asked for them to adjust them. The install manager came to "adjust" them but it still never closed by itself. A year+ later, the gates are warped and the hinges are garbage. They were supposed to be self-closing, but they are way too light duty for the weight of the gate. Not only are they not self-closing, but you can't even swing the gate closed because it's out of balance and just swings itself back open again. The gate is so heavy and out of plumb, it needs to be pushed closed to latch every time. Messaged about getting hinges replaced under warranty, in May, about 3 months before our warranty ran out. Of course I was given another run-around answer that the manufacturer is designing better hinges and can we wait for those? I asked for that to be emailed in writing, so we would still have the hinges covered under warranty. Last messaged received May 12th, it's now Sept 16th. Nope, never got an email nor hinges. Not holding my breath, although I expect they will amazingly show up with hinges as soon as this review posts. Two stars instead of one because the gates are still standing.

My measurements and the other companies all had 123 total feet of fencing. I asked this guy what his measurements were and he hesitated and told me "about 130 feet." Then he said he would email me a bid in about two days. Two days went by and no email. I called Friday morning and asked about my estimate and the lady on the phone took my info, confirmed my email and said I would have the email with the estimate no later than 5 pm that day. It is now Tuesday, a week later. Even companies who have come out after them have already given me all their estimates. The moral of the story is, these guys don't care about your time. They're not honest in any of their dealings with me either. Go with someone else. We certainly will be.

Here's a polished and professional review you can use for Utah Valley Landscaping: 5-Star Review for Utah Valley Landscaping I had an outstanding experience with Utah Valley Landscaping. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and stayed within budget--something that's becoming increasingly rare these days. What truly impressed me was their work ethic and skill. They transformed my backyard, which was basically just a patch of weeds, into an incredible outdoor space I now love spending time in. The craftsmanship is top-notch, especially the team that replaced our rusted-out wooden stairs with a beautiful paver deck and staircase--it looks amazing and was clearly done by pros who know what they're doing. Alex was fantastic--always available by phone and frequently on-site to make sure everything was going according to plan. His communication and attention to detail made the entire process smooth. Manuel also stood out with his deep knowledge and incredible work ethic. You can tell this is a team that takes pride in what they do. Highly recommend Utah Valley Landscaping if you want high-quality work done right.

It's like pulling teeth trying to get this company to do anything. They don't respond to emails,…read moreand it takes them nearly a week to respond to voicemails, if they do at all. We finally got a hold of them on the phone, and they agreed to come out a few days later to fix the sprinklers on our rental property. We'd already done a lot of work for them by finding the problem area and digging out around it. They said they would be there Friday or possibly Monday, but we didn't hear anything after that. We called multiple times, and got no answer. Finally got a hold of them on Tuesday, and the receptionist/scheduler, Sierra, told us that the "sprinkler individual" didn't have time and couldn't get to it either of those days. No call to let us know, no explanation, and no apology or offers to come out another day. We asked when they could come out again, and they said Friday, and the same thing happened. We rescheduled 4 different times, and they made us wait ANOTHER WEEK between each new appointment. Each time we didn't receive any sort of call or follow up afterwards, and had no idea what had happened. Because it was a rental we had to keep sending people out to see if they actually did anything. Finally, our property manager told us that the hole we dug ourselves around the sprinkler was filled, many weeks after we initially called Utah Valley Lawn Care. Still, no follow up or contact from the company at all. Two weeks later we got a very basic bill (sent to the rental property, not us), and it didn't list anything other than parts and labor, and with different rates than we'd agreed upon. I don't have any proof that they did any work, or what they did. We still paid the bill because it looks like our pipe was replaced, and we were tired of dealing with them, but it was definitely not worth it. We will never use them again, and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
