My neighbor had used them for her husband and referred us to them. From the moment I called I was absolutely pleased. Losing my husband the way I did was very upsetting. I felt like I was in a fog. The complete staff of Wheeler & Woodlief were very compassionate and extremely sensitive to our needs and wants for my husband. I would recommend them to anyone that is in need of a funeral service that definitely puts customer service as their # 1 priority, and operates on compassion and sensitivity.

The one thing that stands out is the way my he was robbed of a proper home going service. While my loved one did look at peace and looked natural, it does not excuse the lack of professionalism from the funeral home. Mr. Pope will tell you that you have 10 days to perform the services, he will also tell you that nobody has a viewing the night before. Do not allow him to pressure you into making any decisions the way he did my mom and I. He gave my mom a price of 14k but never gave her an itemized breakdown of what she was getting for the 14K. The services were supposed to be in a church, instead we were forced to have the services in a disgusting funeral home chapel because he wasn't willing to move the body. Mr. Pope was found to be very condescending and deceitful. He was all willing to help but the second he realized the life insurance company was not willing to tell him the amount my mom would be getting everything changed completely. He would agree to things with other family members and then disrespect my mom on the phone late at night. I think I speak for my entire family including my loved one when I say the services provided was an absolute disgrace and in my opinion was he was way over paid, and took advantage of my grieving mother. Stake woke when dealing with them. Fight for what's right and make sure your loved one gets the services they deserve. HD Pope will walk all over you and your family if they see any light in a tunnel to be able to.
