Amazing neighborhood orchard with knowledgeable friendly staff. They have wagons for your kiddos and picker tools and a massive variety of apples along with pears and quince. Lots of bag sizes to pick too. Normally open Fri-Sun. Check them out.

Apple picking is fantastic this weekend!

Apples were huge and tasty. Great crop this year! Perfect activity for a slightly rainy afternoon.

Lots of measures put in for covid- sanitized Apple pickers. Spray painted lines in the grass. Masks encouraged. A HUGE variety of apples and some pears. There are labels and a color coded system on all the apples so you know which are ripe and what to leave for later in the season. There were also several cool varieties I haven't seen on other orchards like an oval Apple, and the poison Apple with the red tart center. LOTS OF SPACE, Lots of variety. I would highly recommend this orchard!

What a cute little orchard! The staff was super friendly and they had a pretty big variety or apples and pears! We selected the medium sized bag for $20.00 and off we went on our picking spree! Fun time and the fruit was delicious! Loved the Cherry Bomb apple! Will definitely be back!

I had such a wonderful time here! The staff was so helpful and sweet and the price was worth it for the HUGE apples we got! Highly recommend

I am glad I had a chance to visit before Thanksgiving to stock up on some goodies! If you've been to Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Four Town is kind of similar, although the rustic farmhouse-chic shop does not have a prepared foods counter. However, they more than make up for it with all the amazing vegetables and fruits grown onsite. I was very impressed with the Honeycrisp Apples and Butternut Squash, as well as their wide selection of house made jellies and salad dressings. In addition to Four Town's slate of offerings, they also showcase other local vendors such as Wrights Dairy Farm's milk and cakes and Venda Ravioli's frozen fresh pasta and sauces. Four Town also carries fresh flowers and greenery that is holiday-ready - Christmas Trees and decorative wreaths and evergreen garlands. The team is friendly and offers excellent assistance in recommendations and recipe ideas- everyone we interacted with was delightful. This is a great stop along the way to lunch or dinner in neighboring Warren or Bristol, and a lovely way to spend a weekend afternoon!

They have a nice coy pond outside that the kids I babysit for love to go see every time we come, they even have two goats that you can visit- Dixie and Belle!

For…read morebackground I have a degree in sustainable agriculture and worked on farms including ones that offer CSAs for many years. If I had known that approximately a 3rd of the each weeks offerings were pick your own I would not have signed up. Nothing against this model but each week I had to rush over from work without a lot of extra time. I often had to forgo the pick your own which made the overall value of the CSA quite low for those weeks. This is my issue not Casey Farm's but I want other folks to be aware that PYO is a major part of their CSA. That aside the assortment was fairly subpar (yes I am aware they had a lot issues with pests so I'm being lenient on this point) and pick up in the barn was often unorganized with not enough scales or bag points to move through quickly. The prepicked veggies were consistently filthy, like fully covered in dirt. None of the CSAs I worked for would have allowed this. A lot of "seconds" quality veggies in the main pick up area as well. I have no problem with veggies that need to be used quickly or have cosmetic blemishes but for example I saw zucchini that was as hard and woody as a winter squash. Wildly unacceptable as it was inedible. Until the end of the season there was very little information about the pick your own fields. There was often little to no wayfinding information both in the barn or in the fields. Also very little educational information on how to pick these items. For things like ground cherry or tomatillos this is important as many folks might not be aware of what these items look like when ripe. Most folks in the field had to help each other find the right rows and provide picking advice. For example a poor fellow customer was picking very tough old snap peas because the green bean fields weren't marked and she was in the wrong place. The folks in the barn provided very little help in this regard. I have a feeling I wasn't the only person to experience frustration with this as around august they finally starting adding some (although still minimal) instructions in the barn. I fully understand a CSA is meant to support a farm in boom and bust but knowing that Casey Farm is bolstered by Historic New England and their popular children's camp programs I think there are a lot of local farms who deserve financial support over Casey. Overall the CSA felt lazy, disorganized and frankly a rip off. I continually felt like there was very little love for the produce they grew and provided. 0/5 stars would not recommend.
