A few weeks ago, we arrived to launch our boat, and there was no one in the office to collect the launch fee. Rather than leaving without paying, we left a $20 bill with a note. The launch fee is $12, and when we called the next day, we were told we had an $8 credit. Today, we returned, paid our launch fee, and asked to use our $8 credit. Unfortunately, the lady manager was incredibly rude--not only to us, but also to the employee working in the office. The tone, attitude, and overall way the situation was handled were completely unnecessary. We always try to do the right thing, and that's exactly what we did by paying even when no one was there. It's disappointing to be treated with such disrespect after making the effort to be honest. I hope Harbor Bay Marina takes customer service more seriously because no customer--or employee--deserves to be treated that way.

It was $3.49 for a dozen live minnow and $6.49 for a bag of frozen shad. $8 per person. $1 per additional rod. Bathrooms are pretty clean. The fishing barge is located at the end of the pier. Enter through the main store. There's an inside fishing area in the barge with a rectangular hole where you drop your line in. I didn't go there because there are people in there smoking up a storm. We fished outside at the end of the barge facing the lake. Be careful if you choose this spot because you can get your line snagged very easily, especially on the right side. 3 stars for paying $8 and no fish and also for losing 3 lures from snags.

Ugly to say the least. So after I look at it and think I need a whole new lower unit and searching for a new lower unit I come across James propeller/Skeg Depot. These guys were great and knowledgeable. I purchased a cast poured replacement skeg that met my Mercruiser dimensional specs at a reasonable cost and they also repaired my damaged Stainless Steal prop. After mig welding on the Skeg and having the prop repaired I saved a huge chunk of cash. Thanks James Propeller/Skeg Depot.

They provide direct audio communication from boat, that expedites the learning process exponentially. The instructor(s) are top notch, have deep kiteboarding experience, and have incredible familiarity with the local DFW conditions (launch sites / winds / etc) They are also able to integrate you with the local DFW kiteboarder community, which makes your transition from beginner to 'local' seamless. If you want to learn this sport, this is the quickest/safest/funnest way to do it. Learn here, kite here at home, go to your vacation spots (South Padre, Mexico, Caribbean, Spain) and be completely prepared to just Kiteboard in paradise... Highest recommendation! After 8 months of reliable use, our kite suffered a center strut rupture (things happen even to tough kites), but both esD and Liquid Force eagerly stood behind the kite and had us back on the water with fresh gear faster than we could have hoped (at no cost to us). It certainly inspires confidence when making a large purchasing decision like a new kite to know that, in the unlikely event something goes wrong, the people you're buying from and counting on for support, take your complete satisfaction so seriously. After a brief search of places that rented kayaks around Lake Ray Hubbard, I decided on Kayak Power. I'm so glad I did! Their website was easy to navigate and reserving a kayak online was super fast. Within maybe 2 hours of making my reservation online, I received an email from Mike (the owner I think) to go over the basics of time/place for my rental. I saw online that they will deliver to Lake Ray Hubbard as well as Lake Grapevine, which is very convenient as not all companies will deliver. The morning of my rental, Mike was already at the launch site and had set up everything I needed for my lake adventure! And as an added bonus, he even provided snacks/water and a dry box in case I wanted to take any belonging with me! Overall I had a fantastic experience with Kayak Power. Mike was so helpful and informative, and he was super quick to return all emails and phone calls along the way! I will definitely rent from them again!

I have been doing this for several years so we have been on quite a few guided fishing trips. This was THE BEST guided fishing trip we have been on so far!! Larry is a people person and he does everything he can to make sure you have an excellent time. A front had blown through the day before so the weather had the fishing messed up. Larry worked hard and took us to many different spots in an effort to make sure we caught the most fish possible. He is definitely the kind of guide who will work hard for his money when the situation calls for it. Larry provides all of the gear and bait you need. His boat is outfitted with side scan sonar and a nice stereo so you can enjoy some good country music while you fish. You only need to show up with some drinks and snacks plus any any other various stuff you might require like sunscreen or bug repellent.
