The Mexican corn croquettes was good, hot and tasty. The girl at the counter was a bit rude. As a foreigner, I just started ordering - she interrupted me to ask pleasantries, apparently you must first ask how she is before placing an order. With lots of parking and easy access! Basically awesome! I especially love how they have got lots of exclusive beers and they change it around a fair bit quite often too! Certainly worth trying! Popped in here to meet up with some friends on a Saturday evening. They have a huge industrial beer garden with some high, planted out benches, sporting some habanero plants, lemon grass and loquat trees, somewhat mimicking a sustainable restaurant garden. For a Winter's eve it wasnt particularly packed, and you'd be forgiven if it took you 30 mins to find the place at all, as it is hidden at the back of an industrial complex. Obviously Alexandria has room for ventures like this craft brewery. and to make it more interactive, they have a bar and restaurant attached. It went a little something like this. -Approach bar and wait our turn. -Staff member asks what we'd like, then immediately ignores us in favour of something another staff says to her - Finally order after she asks "what do you want?" abruptly. Clearly other staff had given her bad news. - Man friend tells me not to go ape shit about shitty service. - Pet hate. -I order hot wings. We rejoined our mates, who immediately say "I hope you didnt order the hot wings because they are rubbish." - straight up buyers remorse. They were right. The hot wings were rubbish, over cooked and basically soaked in vinegar. Avoid at all costs. My friends had previously received theirs terribly under cooked, and soaked in vinegar. They returned them and were given a couple of free starters. Salt and pepper Calamari was really much better. The beer was fricking excellent. The Beers are named in a colonial fashion and the one called "The Governor" is one of the best craft beers going around in Sydney right now. I tried, "The Hangman" Pale ale which was also exceptionally good. You can order a 1.5L growler of any of these to take home. They come in a funky brown plastic bottle. Others I didnt try are staples of the brand, and if you are drinking at the venue, there are also brewery only specials like Apple truck cider. No one could tell us if they had put my foe preservative in it, so I didn't partake. In all this place is hit and miss. Amazing beers, service varies from friendly to icy cold. Men's toilets were apparently all kinds of messed up. Food was below average. Come for the beer, forget the rest. read more

Probably the best place for beer near Sydney. We came on our honeymoon to Sydney and were graciously greeted by the owner. The food is superb and the beer is delicious. After an intense afternoon of trampolining at the near by SkyZone, my work colleagues and I were more than keen for a cool beverage. Rocks Brewing Co. did not disappoint - they brew their own beers and ciders on site with a variety of types to choose from. We sampled several types of beers and ciders and all went down a treat, their cider being my favourite of the night. There was also a passion fruit flavoured beer which was different but delicious, as well as the humorously named Katy Perry beer. We re-fueled on hot chips, nachos, wings, squid and onion rings which were all examples of delicious pub grub. The afternoon was perfect for sitting outside on their long tables - the sun shone down as we sipped our beers and played with their selection of games (ring toss, connect 4, etc). Prices were also reasonable. Overall, Rocks Brewing Co is very atmospheric and a good place for an afternoon bevvie or three. read more

The brisket and chicken burger here are not bad, and their cider is pretty good. Giving it 2 stars though because I ordered the poke and it took them over 40 minutes to bring it out -- after all my friends have gotten and finished their food. I went up to ask at a bit past half an hour, and the guy was just annoyed at me for asking. He went to ask and then yelled across the room to me to say that they're making it right now. What more can you ask for :-) So central to meet up with friends for lunch, or that special friend for dinner and drinks. They've got such a wide variety of local , international and craft beers, too many to list on this review, though do check them out on the menu. The meals were good, not great, though good enough for the price of around $20, everything consider. I would recommend this place for almost every occasion. The beer was great, the service was amazing and we had a great night all round. HOWEVER two of us ordered the brisket sandwich and it was so chewy that it was inedible. I couldn't believe it. Especially because the salad, corn and fries were delicious but it really sucked. Nobody checked why we had left so much of them either... Which was also a bit sad. A great restaurant right next to a huge, fully-functioning brewery--sorta makes you feel like being in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The location is a bit hidden from the road, but well worth a visit! The food is amazing, with a wide-ranging menu and generous portions. The staff is super friendly too. Wow - Rocks is a great spot!! Grab some delicious craft microbrews and take your pick from the upscale pub-style menu in a fun and unique atmosphere. Favorites today: Convict Lager, Coffee Red Ale, and Butcher Porter They have a glass garage-type door that separates the inner dining/bar area from the courtyard, so it's perfect in all types of weather. It's a grey, cloudy day today and the breeze feels great in the taproom. Staff is friendly, crowd skews slightly younger but there are all types here, mostly the after work crowd. Good atmosphere, good beer, terrible terrible growler fills!!! I got there for happy hour was told everything is on happy hour, so I ordered the blueberry wit which is not on happy hour. Changed my order and enjoyed the rest of the happy hour. When we were gonna head out 5 min after happy hour I decided we should fill the growler. Which apparently would have been discount 5 min earlier but filled it anyway however The whole top half was just foam! and although I brought my growler I was charged for a growler which I debated and was refunded. Craft beers range, mainly pale ale style so most very bitter hoppy beers. Unfortunately bar not equipped to serve numerous people so if they get mildly busy expect to be waiting at the bar for extended periods. Would be better to focus on serving customers. Over all I won't be back. read more

After coming from sky zone and building up quite a thirst and appetite, I found this place straight after! It's a bar type setting with indoor and outdoor seating, very spacious and lots of timber decor which made the brewery like setting. A popular choice was 5 mini size beer for $15 dollars - you can choose your own flavours. Or alternatively you can do a brewery tour for $20 and the mini size beer combo is included. The place was well heated and provides blankets if you're cold. This place is a nice place to go to for drinks especially as they had a nice singer with a guitar which really set a mood. I ordered the lamb ribs which were very tasty, the only thing was they had a little too much fat on them and not enough meat so I only ate about half but the flavour was there. The cuisine is bar type food they have options of finger food like dips, nachos and chips or more substantial options like steaks and burgers. The dessert choice is sticky date pudding! This place is a little hard to find but was a lovely experience when I was there. read more

We dropped in for a quick feed on a rainy Sunday. Maybe we selected badly but everything was very ordinary and tasteless. The corn was overpowered by the pesto. The calamari was just deep fried it didn't have any salt/pepper flavour, and was heavy to eat. The tacos were under seasoned and the guacamole was bland. Very disappointing meal. At first glance this precinct looks simply like a parking lot. Venture a little further and there's a vibrant micro brewery with plenty of space to mingle. We enjoyed live music whilst sampling some unique beers and ciders. The food was also tasty and reasonably priced. Being a Saturday night, booking a table was a must as this place is a hidden gem.
