Beware if you come here to get your car smogged. They'll quickly fill out the form for you, and try to charge you $50 to smog your car as part of a package that includes a year of car washes (not to mention the car wash here is absolutely terrible. You'd be better off going somewhere else, like Terrible's at Sahara/buffalo if you want a drive thru car wash). If you don't speak up, they'll manually input the most expensive price. When you ask if there's a smog option without the car washes, the cashier will silently cross out the $50 and put down the normal price ($24). The person will then get on their radio and tell someone that your car is "pepperoni". Speaking in code in front of the customer you tried to scam into paying more than double the normal price of the smog? Odd. Then the person will swing their iPad around and ask you to give a tip. When you tap "no tip", they will tell you that you can also tip in cash. So let me get this straight: you will try and trick people into paying $50 (!!!!!!!!!!) to get their car smogged, then try and guilt them into tipping on top of that? I swear, they must be making a killing! Imagine all of the people they do that to who don't know any better: New drivers who go to smog their car and end up blindly paying $50. The employees are rude not only have we gone in there for the DMV services which they have the worst attitude, but stopped because they are having cheap gas and went in and their prices for all of their convenience store. On the corner of Flamingo and Durango, recently renamed (there are 3 different gas stations) this is the least expensive option if you use cash. Pay at the pump or inside (mini mart). We go to this one often (since moving to this side of town in 2017); it's on regular rotation. Also has a drive-thru car wash; we used it a few times in the past (limited hours, wasn't open when we just got gas a few minutes ago). And advertises smog and dmv services with a huge monster truck. This one has a good amount of business. There is a Chevron across the way but that is the most expensive option in this area. I had the greatest experience ever. My cashier was Amber and she assisted me with everything I needed and she was so knowledgeable. Which was extremely appreciated because I didn't know I wanted to get at the moment. She had the best customer service and just for that I will continue to go back to that gas station. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Amber and she asked me if I needed any help finding anything and she helped from beginning to end. I thought it was a great l, but it's too good to be true. I was a little disappointed that the car wash does not use soap! I had to go through the car wash twice to get it somewhat clean. I still had to drive home to dry it. If you do get your smog done and want a car wash the better deal is just to check in on yelp for the free car wash, but don't be surprised if your car is still dirty. The store itself would get more than five stars, if possible. It's so clean and nice, and the employees always make sure everyone is properly greeted and helped out. I love the way the shelves are so nearly stocked! They play music here, which never hurts. They have a machine car wash, but a hand car wash is also available in the parking lot. They also have a smog station. The DMV express is a total wallet killer, but it's clutch if you can't make it to the super crowded DMV down the block. Went here today because gas was $3.23... with the purchase of a carwash and cash? Huh? I really hate the gimicks because I wasn't sure if I had to pay with cash and also purchase a carwash to get that price, and if I didn't, who knows what the price would be. I bought $20 in gas and an $8.99 carwash. Then I checked in on Yelp afterward and saw that the check in offer was for a free carwash. That's my luck. I had a BEAST of a time trying to drive into the little carwash thing that pulls your car through the wash when you put it in neutral. I like and appreciate that other car washes actually have a person to guide you in and do a quick scrubdown of your wheels. Oh well. This place has changed a lot since a few of the reviews shown on here. I came here yesterday because it was the closest place to the DMV where I could get my car smogged for my new car registration. I went inside paid for the smog, which was $21.00 and then I went back outside and got my car done. It literally took about 5 minutes and the guy who helped me was very friendly and chatty. He even helped me take off my old plates so I can put the new ones on. What a nice guy! I gave him a tip for that, because he did saved me money and time. SCAM ALERT: DO NOT USE FOR SMOG Upon arrival I informed the guy that I wanted a smog and for them to do my registration renewal online since both were due today, and that I wanted a car wash. I gave the guy my Jiffy Smog coupon, and was then informed this was not Jiffy Smog ... JS was another 25 yards down the parking lot. Oooops. I was already in the smog line and could not back out since another car had pulled up behind me. I was told to leave my car in the Smog Corral where, once in, you could not leave as there were other cars behind you. TRAP #1 I followed the young man inside and he plopped a flyer in front of me and asked which special I wanted. "I want a smog where you do the registration renewal online since they're both due today and I need a car wash. Which special is that?" He suggested I go with the cheapest one, $23 which included a car wash. That's what I usually paid at Jiffy Smog or Smog Busters for the services I requested, so it seemed okay to me. He was ringing up the sale and I asked him if he needed my card yet for the registration renewal fees. He told me I had to wait because they had to do the smog first. That seemed reasonable. The charge slip left room at the bottom for a tip, so I left a $5 tip assuming it was for the car wash attendant (it was cold outside!). Wrong, the tip was for the smog guy I was told afterwards. I've never even heard of tipping the smog guy. TRAP #2 A few minutes later the guy came back and handed me my smog certificate. I asked him if he needed my card yet to process the registration renewal payment online. He said that they do NOT do online renewal registrations ... they actually go to the DMV to process the paperwork at the end of each day. In fact, he'd have my sticker for me later that day. Wow, same price as the others but even better service!!! No. THIS IS WHERE THEY REALLY F*** YOU. They wanted AN EXTRA $460 IN ADDITION TO my $640 registration fee. I thought I was being punked ... Jiffy Smog and Smog Busters include this in with their price. And no, that was not a typo. They wanted AN EXTRA $460 IN ADDITION to my registration fee to process my registration renewal ... which is something that Jiffy Smog and Smog Busters include in their $23 fee. TRAP #3. I was pissed, which he knew I would be since he chose to withhold this information even though I had inquired about it 3 different times during our conversations. In Vegas, WE CALL THIS A SCAM. In any event, I asked if I could still have Jiffy Smog do my smog since they do the online smog and registration fee and I wanted it done today. They guy said he didn't know ... but I'm sure he did know. I went to Jiffy Smog, 25 yards down the parking lot, they hooked-up my car to the system and advised they could not do my smog because it had already been entered; and no, they could not do the online registration renewal because THEY HAVE TO BE DONE TOGETHER. TRAP #4 I am sure that weasel at Rock's 76 thought I'd be back, but I just went home and did it online FOR FREE. I wish they had a 0-star option. They don't deserve even 1-star. Got a flyer from the DMV because I went there to get my tags renewed since I've only lived here for 2 yrs & this is my 2nd time to register my car I thought I would try them because the place I went to last year couldn't do it for 2 weeks & I was already late. First they charged me $23, everywhere else is $9, but, I was in a hurry, they said it would be $700 if I wanted to get my tags through them on the same day or $299 if I wanted to wait a week or so. I said NO, I went to the DMV, there was like 3 people in line, they said they were taking appointments only, but, since I was only getting my tags & saw I was handicap they let me in. It cost me $85. I can't believe that this place was charging $700, I guess they don't believe in repeat customers get what you can now & don't worry if you never use this place again, this is price gouging to the fullest!! So being how high the competition is around here, I say anyone who is willing to charge that much BEWARE who knows what else they're capable of & during these hard times when people can barely put food on their table. SHAME ON THEM. Yes they have all the services and offer to do things that can be done at the DMV, for a cost. But don't be fooled by the FAST smog they promote. I also felt like I was at a timeshare with all the offers thrown at me. You wait inside which was nice and clean but it took me about 30 minutes to get a smog check that normally takes 5 minutes at many of the drive up places. I like that this was the only car wash open at 11pm, but what a stupid design. Your car's left tire needs to fit perfectly into a conveyor belt that pushes your vehicle through.
