I called to make an appointment…read morehere, gave them my insurance information, showed up to the appointment, gave them my insurance card (Cigna) made my co-pay, and had my appointment. Was given a follow up stress test appointment for a month later. The night before the appointment I received a call from the office and was told they they didn't take my insurance and that I owed $300 for the previous appointment. I told them I didn't think I should be required to pay for their error, to which the lady responded with a dismissive response. A month later I received a call telling me that Dr Mackin would be retiring and that I needed to pay the $300 in total or it would go to collections. I told her that I didn't think that was fair as their office told me that they took my insurance. The lady said, "I don't need your crap" and hung up on me. I called back and asked her why she hung up even though I hadn't raised my voice or been rude, and she said that she was really stressed. Not a professional or capable office in my opinion. If they continue in business after Dr Mackins retirement I would avoid them at all costs. Heart issues are too important to trust to an office that cant get the simplest details right.

When my dad was diagnosed otherwise by hospital docs Mackin actually told him "God Bless You" like he was a goner. My dad needs a heart valve replacement which should have been obvious for someone who claims to be competent as Mackin does and for as much as we prodded him. Unbelievably unprofessional and incompetent. Stay away. If you care about heart heath go literally anywhere else.

However I sat in my room all afternoon and didn't see a doctor until the next morning. In the ER they discussed the 'cardiac team' that was going to guide me through a testing and treatment plan but the 'team' seems to be mythical, there is no 'team'. Dr Wani was mentioned by just about everyone but I never saw the man, even when I was taking a stress test. He must be very busy. Good facility but disappointed with the medical management.

It was an important post op follow-up. They also made appointments without consulting me. They're big on over billing by sending you to too many different " specialists". They're more concerned about billing than your healthcare. Chaos seems to be the business model; conflicting instructions. Dr Mark Líwanag actually lied to me regarding my surgery and Hospital stay.
