A very unexpected and fulfilling evening at Rockne's in Streetsboro. You never know what environment you are going to walk into in a small town sportish bar. As a lone diner, the Individual diner size booths in the dining were comfortable and charming. On the menu, the classic sauerkraut balls caught my eye. Never heard of such a dish! Went here for dinner. I like the name of this place. It has 3 tvs in the bar area. It's a neat place. They have a lot to chose from on menu. I got the grilled chicken w red sauce Flatbread Pizza. It was $12.99. The service was good. Our waitress was very efficient and nice. She took our menu and got our drinks fast. The pizza flat bread was great. The ambiance was ok. To start, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome, and seated quickly. Our waitress, Shelby, was incredibly nice and friendly, and even offered an extra pair of reading glasses for my father who forgot his!! We got our drinks quickly and the lemonade was freshly squeezed instead of the typical minute-made, it was awesome!! The decor gave a classic pub feel, very cozy and welcoming. We had a starter of Fried Sauerkraut balls and definitely exceeded our expectations! For our main course we all ordered the HUGE "Mack the Knife" burger and we're all similarly stuffed and satisfied by the burger's huge size and delicious flavor. Plus it was only $11.50!!! Rockne's in Streetboro has the absolute best salads. I will go there for their spinach salad. I've had it in other places, but the Streetboro location seems to have an added special touch! The dressing is perfect. Eggs are cooked al dente, and the strawberry bacon, nut, tomato crumble is to die for--this is the only way I can describe it, then you add the fresh spinach with the warm dressing and win win! The restaurant generally has a good lunch crowd, and our waitstaff has always been very sweet. I can't say enough about this local restaurant. I know it's a chain, but it doesn't feel like it. The restaurant has been there for a while, and it is comfortably yummy. I do recommend their salads, and I bet their other offerings are served with pride as well. read more

Came in in a Saturday night. Lobby was fairly busy with a little bit of a wait. We were seated after about 15 minutes. Decor is a bit dated and whole place could use a face lift. Wait staff very attentive and nice. Drinks can out quickly. Ordered a chicken sandwich and a Buffalo chicken wrap. Chicken sandwich was tasty and hot with crispy bacon. Buffalo chicken wrap was "Rockne" size. Wrap did not have a lot of chicken. Stuffed with lettuce and tomato. We found the French fries to be a little greasy and not crispy at all. Overall a uhh experiment. Might give it another chance but definitely with different menu choices read more

The oriental salad is excellent. A little too much lettuce with grilled chicken, oranges, grilled pineapple, almond slivers, oriental noodles, and sesame dressing. It comes with a basket of warm cinnamon pita. That didn't make much sense. The chicken quesadilla was good and the half order was too much food. The restaurant decor is upscale. A small chain restraint in northeast Ohio. we stopped here as I haven't been to a Rockne's in over about 10 years. We had a good dinner and great service last night. The menu has a little bit of everything from soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and pasta. The five year old in me took over and I had the grilled cheese and fries. The sandwich did not lack cheese and was a nice crunchy golden brown. The fries which were piled a mile hike were absolutely delicious. My wife had the jumbo fajita plate and was it huge. Our food was good. My husband and I both had Mini Max burgers. They were large portions and were yummy. We had sweet potato and regular fries. Both were okay. Sweet potatoes came with marshmallow fluff type dip that was not good - would have been better with a honey mustard or something. Waitress could have been more attentive and polite. read more

Good and bad. The Rocknes that used to be near my home closed several years ago. I had a craving and was nearby so I drove a bit of a ways wanting two specific items. Unfortunately both have been removed from the menu. Im not so broken up by the loss of the fish sandwich.I always limed it but they have many other great items. I will say I am devastated that they no longer have the Mushroom Bisque. That stuff was so good. Anyway like I said they have many other tasty items so I ended up with a turkey club and a salad. I love their croutons. The food was delicious. My server was attentive, but not intrusive. He brought me a refil of soda and had the check very quickly too. The food fast very bland and there wasn't much toppings on anything... she even asked if I still wanted my food because I ate some of the appetizer the server forgot half of the things we needed and when giving us our food didn't come back to check in on us and we needed things the whole time she came back once she was ready to have us leave and give us boxes then only brought one when we needed 3. I cannot remember her name but she didn't seem like she had any emotions either and the bill was 80 dollars for 4 people to eat. This review is for carryout only. This was one of the best carryout experiences we had during the quarantine. The staff took our order SO fast on the phone. Upon arriving, there was no need to call because the staff quickly exited the building to ask our name and promptly came out with the order. The order was packaged well with no wrong items. The menu was vast with meals to please any individual and price points more than reasonable. You can't get a salmon dinner for $11.99 at a lot of places. Their citrus glazed salmon was heavenly. Great salmon cut and the grilled pineapple added a nice touch. Another person got the double cheeseburger sliders and he said they were better than regular burgers he has had recently. This is an established local place, close to the highway and all the motels, great location. Plenty of parking, kid friendly and sports on "all" the televisions, sports pub. Came in late evening, not to busy and great wait staff. Burgers, fries, hot subs were very good. Salads with chicken, gyro etc were fresh and huge!!! Food was very good pub grub, simple and done well. They've also got larger meals but we didn't order it. Enjoy this local place, 10 minutes from the toll Highway. You get what you pay for I guess.... I work in the public so I understand the annoyance of having to wear a mask. Not wearing them correctly/at all doesn't really bother me. So when I saw some of the employee's wearing them under their chin and under their nose I could care less, but that's besides the point. I hadn't eaten all day and bar food sounded good to me and parents. This was my first time at a Rockne's and my parents were saying it was good food, but boy where they wrong. My father and I got some burgers with bacon my mom got the Ruben and we all split the sampler. It was worse than gas station food. After a year of very limited dining out, my trip to Rockne's in Streetsboro, OH was a slam dunk winner. Our server Tara was as good as they come. I would have given this place 5 stars because the food was great, the service was excellent. Brooke was wonderful. We didn't have to wait long for our table and our food. The reason I'm only giving them 3 is because due to covid, their seating is messed up. 2 couples came in with 3 children and the children were placed at the booth behind us. They couldn't be seated next to their parents because of having to be seated with space between everyone. I think an exception could have been made to seat these children next to their parents. These girls had no respect for the people around them. They were loud, rude and kept bumping into our seats. And the parents paid no attention to them at all. Passing through between DC and Chicago, and this is a local favorite in the Northern Ohio area. The layout is very strange as well, when you enter it splits into two, and the left side (the restaurant part) has 2 levels and very covered booths, which can be nice, but hard for looking for someone. It was alright--their salads are pretty big, but it wasn't too much substance... I got the Rockne's Salad. Basically iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes (i didn't want bacon bites and I asked for cheese on the side)... I wasn't very impressed, but there aren't many healthy options and the salads don't have much option for veggies/fruits!! I asked for the cheese on the side and I got practically 1.5 cups of it...good thing I asked for it on the side! It came with a tonnn of pita bread, and it wasn't particularly delicious either, dry, hard and cold, pretty sure not made in-house. I have to say this place does have great burgers, fries and soups especially the chicken dumpling and white chicken chili. Service is fast and friendly. BUT I ordered a side Caesar salad and boy was I shocked. It wasn't the traditional Caesar salad I recognized- it was just iceburg lettuce, tomatoes, parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing. I was thrown off...where are the croutons? why the tomatoes and no romaine lettuce? All I have to say if you can't call a salad a Caesar salad it should be a Caesar salad, if not just let me know all you have is a garden salad. And this is why I can't give this place the 4 stars i think it deserves. Also, for some reason my big heavy purse unlocked the stall lock which makes it super easy for other ladies and children to open the door so ladies beware. Stopped in here with my boys while traveling thru Ohio and in short, decent meal with good portion sizes for a good value. I would compare this to a TGIFridays or an Applebee's. You will find TV's throughout tuned to various sport channels. Our waitress was good, but did make us feel a bit hurried, even though the place was not packed. Food came out really quick as well. I had the Chicken Alfredo, which came with a side of garlic bread. I do wish there had been a bit more chicken in it. My boys had the grilled cheese and hamburger with fries. Note that the kids burger does not come with anything on it, which was perfect for my boy. Rockne's is a must have every time I visit home from Florida. Even though I live near the coast, and fresh seafood is plentiful, I find myself craving the Rocknes fish sandwich ALL THE TIME!! I also can't get enough of their fantastic French fries, thankfully they come in such a large portion (another favorite reason to visit)! My most recent visit was last week and had such a fantastic experience sitting at the bar with Shelby! She was such a wonderful bartender/server! She made the visit worth the trip from Florida!! I love Rockne's, especially this location. I go often and am always satisfied with my meal! I highly recommend that you check out their bacon cheddar skins or their bacon cheddar fries. Both are delicious! I tend to sit in the bar in one of the booths and have great service. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The menu is HUGE and offers something for everyone. The portions are also big, which is great for leftovers. They are also great for takeout as well. My food is always hot and tastes great. read more
