This place…read moreis nice, but I don't know what the architects were thinking when they decided on high ceilings. This place is a giant echo chamber. There is so much noise here. Even the receptionist at the information desk was loud when she was talking to a resident. She didn't even try to speak quietly. People can be heard laughing and carrying on, the sound of phones ringing and beeping from scanning books can be heard from the other side of the building. Not an ideal place to come if you are looking for silence. I am astounded by how many people come into a library and do not bother to turn their cell phones on silent. Every few minutes I was hearing someone's phone ring. As I sat in the computer area, almost every person who sat around me had their cell phone on. They do have a really nice children's section, but it would help if they closed the doors so you can't hear the children carrying on from the other side of the library.

Architecturally, the building's style is "carpenter Gothic" with a steep gable roof, decorative slate work, and pointed arched windows. It could be mistaken for a country chapel sitting alongside Lake Afton. The Old Library is a perfect spot for community events, and it may be rented for meetings and special occasions. It's interior layout consists of one large room with a restroom.

This library also has certain nights where you can sign your child up for activities like science labs on reading times! They also have family movie nights and all types of programs for kids and families. They have a nice selection of children's books, movies, books on tape, and magazines for children of all ages!

This library seriously needs to be updated. It still looks the same since at least the 80s. With budget cuts, the library is closed a lot at night and weekends. Sad. The best thing about E.P. library is there monthly book sale. People donate so often, that there are always new things to look at. Plus, it's like Black Friday. People line up in the cold and run to grab as many books as possible. Watch out for the creeps who have the scanners to check for resale value. Not cool to block aisles or build stacks of books 20 deep. Some of us actually like to read them.

I have been to this firehouse a few times on occasion in the past, and I can say it's a nice station with a great group of volunteers. I always appreciate all the interaction with the kids and the community through the open houses and community days they host. That's always something that they do not have to do but they do and that is what makes this station awesome!

The Warminster Township Free Library is where I experienced my first forays into the card catalog…read more Actually, I ran into the catalog before, but there it was the first time I used it electronically! Last I was here, browsers could use terminals (they're probably using eMacs now) to perform searches. After you find what you want, just do the footwork to actually get your books. There's a good selection of fantasy and science fiction novels to borrow and you can even buy their overflow books in the front for cheap. The library is open Monday through Saturday, and have book discussion groups periodically. Recommended if you want to get your reading on!

It was a surprisingly PLEASANT experience. I was here a couple of days ago with my friend. She was…read morethere to contest a speeding ticket and we were both concerned that it would be this HUGE ordeal. It was raining, we were kinda running late. We arrived 5 mins before her appointment at 2:30pm, walked in, went through the metal detectors, everyone was friendly and greeted us, gave us directions to exactly where we needed to go... my friend spoke to a woman and told her the situation, she then spoke to a judge, signed a paper, paid her ticket and we were done. From the moment we walked in, handled the ticket, paid and walk back out... I would say it took no more than ten minutes... I would lean more towards eight minutes. Everyone was super friendly and the place was just about empty. It was appreciated.

The judge in courtroom A (white older guy with a blonde toupee) was fair, funny and allowed you to explain what happened. Both tickets ($122 each) for not signing my registration card and allegedly making an "illegal" U turn were dismissed. They said I owed $75 bucks from 2003?!?! Really? I was advised to write the administrative judge to get that thrown out. Oh, if you ever get pulled over by a very very nasty officer like I did, google their full name and district, you'll be surprise what comes up about them. Typically where there is smoke, there is fire!! Remember to do everything with a big SMILE, it irritates people and can turn a bad situation around!
